The Saints came into week 11 riding a 4 game winning streak looking to keep pace with the Carolina Panthers for a tie atop of the NFC South after they recieved word that the Panthers had defeated the Chargers. The Saints came out with a sense of urgency as they held the Falcons to 3 and out and then it took just 4 plays as Zabzebski hooked up with Jimmy Graham for a TD. The Falcons came in looking to shock the Saints as both teams had a shootout in the 1st quarter where 28 points were scored as the game was tied 14-14. The Saints would grab all the momentum on another Zabzebski TD pass and a Malcolm Jenkins INT returned for a TD to take a 31-14 halftime lead.
Both defenses seemed to settle down in the 2nd half as both offenses scored a combined 3 points thanks to a big redzone stand by the Saints where the Falcons had a 1st and goal from the 2 where the Saints would stop Matt Ryan on 4th down to preserve a 14 point lead. The Saints would pick off Matt Ryan 1 more time to finish off the Falcons for a 31-17 win.
Hell of an offensive explosion we both had in the 1st quarter
