We are nearing the launch of our league so we need to start discussing some options. One of the things I am torn between is using simplified, points based salary cap system (similar to the one we used in the past) or a fully fledged NFL Contract system. The good news is both can be tracked in MyLeagueManager but there are positives and negatives to both. Something to consider as well is that we will be forced to manually keep track of "cap hits" for trading or dropping players etc. MyLeagueManager does not have this functionality and it is my expectation that it will not for the duration of the league. So keep this in mind when weighing on on which system to use. My vote is for the real NFL system BUT there are drawbacks - everyone has to learn the NFL system and everyone has to have a real understanding of how each move will affect their salary cap situation. This would very much be a hands on approach but its one I'm willing to try. Remember, actively managing your team is part of the requirements of being in the TMFL. If you cannot manage your team, you cannot be a part of the league. Vote and discuss please.
