SALARY CAP MANAGEMENT (OWNER REQUIREMENTS) Gentlemen, it is with great regret that we must inform you that we are unable to exchange gamesave data with this year's version of Madden. Therefore, we are unable to produce an offline file for everyone to have access to for salary cap management. What does this mean to you?... It means that each owner will be responsible for keeping track of their own player transactions and salary cap with an offline franchise file of their own. I reiterate, owners will only be required to keep track of their own team's player transactions and salary cap ONLY, nothing else. Once you have established an offline franchise for you to manage your own team's salary cap, you'll want to update and save your team salary cap franchise each time you make a league approved transaction. Eddie and I will be managing individual master files of ALL team transactions which we will use to make sure all transactions are correct. Now, understanding that all of you joined the league not knowing that you would have this responsibility bestowed upon you, if anyone wants to back out as a result, let us know immediately and we will refund your league fee to you and fill your team with a new owner - no worries. By no means is this an end-all to this topic, but we have considered all other options and this is the best way to proceed at a manageable pace. Eddie has been in direct communication with the folks at EA to see if there is a way for us to resolve our issue of being unable to share the franchise file with each of you. In the mean time, this is the way it will have to be done - possibly for the rest of the Madden year. We appreciate all of you working with us and certainly understand your frustrations when it comes to the limited capabilities of the online franchise. Please don't hesitate to present any questions you have concerning your team's transactions as you work them on your personal salary cap management franchise file. Your anticipated cooperation is appreciated! Thanks, Doug and Eddie For those of you who want to remain in the league, but have never created your own offline franchise file before, here's the step-by-step on what you will need to do... 1.
