as jr pointed out in skype about the raptors cap situation it should be noted that teams salary varies do to player/team options. For example the bobacts have 10m of cap space while being around 20m under due to having a lot of team options.

Yea, but how do I decide who to send a FA offer too if I don't know what other FAs might be available?

I'm pretty sure even your free agents can't sign until actual free agency. I may be wrong. I know for qualifying offers they won't accept until the actual FA period.

You can always just wait. Your free agents will still be there in the FA period.

I have been really really bored this weekend. I have simmed a Mavs dynasty into 2022. All I have done is the off season.

Part 2 is going to be timed so you can't analyze every free agent for 5 minutes like you do your NCAA recruits ;)

Can you withdraw an offer? Seems silly that I can make a bid now, but don't find out if they take it till after the draft. What if I was to draft a replacement for a player and then he accepts?

A player won't be signed until you approve it.

For example say I want to sign a guy to a max deal and then sign 5 other mid level guys. I can offer max contracts to Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki.

If Howard and Paul both accept you will get a menu after the free agency day(there are 13 FA days) advances. It will give you the option to accept these guys onto your team. So I can say that I want Howard, but not Paul. So don't be afraid to offers contracts to guys you want, and then guys that will be plan B.

The guys you offers in the "your free agents" can't sign until the actual free agency period. The same with guys you give qualifying offers to.

You should really sim through a season offline.

At least I hope your current free agents don't sign. In offline most of the guys usually want to test free agency so I haven't really tried.

The game also said no one retired, but Jason Kidd wasn't on my list of free agents unless I just completely missed him.

Yea, Billups was supposed to retire, Ray Allen too I think, but they show up on the FA list. I was never given an option to resign Billups though, so maybe they don't drop out till later.

I don't know yet. If anyone is on the box that can check that would be helpful. But I don't know if anyone else would even be able to see it.
