Ravens travel out to Oakland in the AFC Championship rematch an get the W 30-10.
Game started off slow with the Ravens having to settle for a FG on the opening drive. On the Raiders ensuing drive they were putting together some nice passes then, C. Thompson FS, crushed D. Moore as he attempted to cut back to the outside causing a fumble picked up by rookie SS Sherrod. This lead to a Ravens TD. From here the Ravens controlled the game with Ray Rice on the ground an mixed passes converting on 7 for 11 on 3rd down keeping the Raiders off the field. As the Raiders went to the air to begin a come back Carson Palmer was picked once. D. Moore and B. Tate both were hurt during the game, new addition DeVier Posey paid dividends with 3 catches for 47 yards and 2 TDs. Huge addition with Tate also going out due to injury.

    GOOD SUMMARY....

GIANTS CIRCLE THE WAGONS - BETTER THE BILLS!!
Orchard Park, NY - On a chilly day, The Giants traveled upstate to take on the Buffalo Bills. This was a matchup of two 2 - 1 teams and two defensive teams trying to make a name for themselves. Well only one showed up and they wore blue - Giant Blue!

The Bills won the toss and deferred to the second half. The Giants took the ball and was up for the challenge. Prior to the game, Coach Jackson took a look at the stats and saw that Buffalo had a ton of sacks. He had challenged the offensive line and they held tight for the most part of the game. They gave up one sack and that was to Mario Williams. And that came in the fourth quarter when the rookie got some playing time.

The Giants took the opening kickoff and on a perfectly timed screen play to offset the blitz, Wilson took it in from 17 yards out to open the scoring. Buffalo answered that with a field goal to start off the second quarter scoring. The Giants added 14 points in the quarter to go up by 18 at the half. Nicks accounted for a score on a 27 yard pass from Manning. The other was a pick 6 by Rolle. The Bills were reeling.

The start of the third quarter started with the Bills receiving the ball. They were stopped and the Giants took the ball looking to add to their league. They added with a 9 yard touchdown pass from Manning to Cruz. Later in the third, Tynes added a 33 yard field goal. That was the last points that the Giants would score this afternoon.

Manning sat on the bench drinking Kool Aid the entire fourth quarter as the Rookie Stackhouse got some playing time. He looked good at times but with the lead like it was, the Giants didn't want to run up the score. The Bills added a 50 yard field goal with under two minutes left to finish the scoring. The Giants just ran out the clock.

At the post game news conference, this is what Coach Jackson had to say: Whoooaa Nellie did you see those blitzes!! This was one game that the offensive line really stepped up and earned their paycheck. To only give up one sack to those guys was a victory in itself. I cannot say enough how the new training staff came in here and these guys executed to the point. I will personally take them all out for steak and beer tonight.

Coach SMITH is one aggressive cookie. He played tough defense tonight but we just had a little better execution with our line and half backs picking up their blitzes. I am glad that they are not in our division 'cause I would not want to face them again. They have amazing speed but we were fortunate to come out of here with a win.

Manning played lights out. Manning was the talk of trade speculation all day and he made me a believer in him. At least for now. He must have heard the rumors and played big for us. He played like a GIANT! He was 12 of 16 for 196 yards with no interceptions, no sacks, and 3 touchdowns. I can't say enough about him.

With the blitzes coming, we couldn't really get the running game going like we wanted to. Wilson did have 83 yards on 11 carries and Scott chipped in with 40 yards on 4 carries. Bradshaw came off of the injured list and performed poorly. But that was expected due to him not seeing action. I will look to get him going next week or he may be just going. As in being CUT!

The bright spot for the Bills was Fitzpatrick going 5 of 16 for 69 yards but he had two interceptions. Spiller who came in averaging over 4 yards a carry was limited to 20 yards on 11 carries with a long of 8 yards.

Game Ball goes to : Entire Offensive Line and the entire defense who gave up a total of 143 total yards, 2 interceptions and 4 sacks.
Honorary Mention : Eli Manning, and WR H. Nicks 4 receptions for 80 yards and 1 touchdown
Stepped Up Award : Offensive Line
