    Bumgarner Signs for 3 years
    Saturday, April 21st, 2012
San Francisco fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Madison Bumgarner won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 3-year extension at a pay rate of $7,150,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, San Francisco officials had to keep Bumgarner from jumping ship.

Star C Signs Extension with San Francisco
    Saturday, April 21st, 2012
Fans hailed the signing of Buster Posey today as the San Francisco Giants catcher came to terms with the club.
Set to make $25,460,000 over the upcoming 3 years, Posey signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.
So far this season, Posey has recorded a .225 batting average with 9 hits, 1 home run, 5 RBIs, 6 runs scored and a .347 OBP.

Q: What is going on this season?
A: I don't make excuses. We just aren't getting it done. We have a reputation of a team that thrives in close ball games, the 1 or 2 run games but we have not come through at the plate or the mound when we need to.
Q: What are you going to do to fix it?
A: To be honest, we are goint to move some younger guys up and give them the big league experience. However, we are still wanting and trying to win games.
Q: Who or what unit has been the biggest disappointment?
A: The bullpen. I have talked with these guys and they know I want them to relax and pitch better. These guys helped win us a World Series they know what it takes. They just need to get back to what they do best.
Q: The fans were ecstatic over the news of the Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner contracts, any more news on the horizon?
A: We would like to get something in place with Tim. His agent informed us that they will not negotiate until his current contract is up. We will continue to work to lock up our future.
Q: Melky Cabrera and Angel Pagan were hot in the spring, now they have to be labeled a disappointment, will they be back next year?
A: Angel and Melky are professionals. They show up early to work, and hopefully we will see it at the plate. I am not commenting on their status for next year.
Q: Are the Giants going to unload at the deadline?
A: I'm not showing my hand but there are players available.
Q: Is Bruce Bochy's job in jeopardy?
    A: No
Q: With the draft looming, who are the Giants targeting?
A: We are looking to sure up the future with our middle infield and we are looking for a corner outfielder that can be plugged into our lineup in the next year or two.
