    Scholarships and Recruiting Board

Okay guys, let me clear another thing up.

It's not just the fact that you can only SIGN up to the number of seniors graduating, but you may only OFFER that many scholarships.

So, if you are allowed to offer 15 scholarships, but you want to have 22 people on your recruiting board. That is fine. But only 15 of those people may have offers at any given time. Obviously commitments count against that number of offer allowed.

I will check your recruiting boards from time to time and let you know if something needs to be fixed, but don't try and leave things for me to find. Do it yourself if you can.

I've been asked, "what about players going pro, transferring?"

Yeah, we don't know which ones these are. So what. Just recruit to the number of seniors leaving (or 70 players on roster, will get to this next). Now, this is the ONLY exception. Say you have a Junior who is a Tim Tebow of the game, and will most likely go pro, and you are willing to let him. You can recruit an additional player if you want to.

Honestly though, having 1 or 2 players less because of players leaving on your team will not make or break you. Keep in mind these extra recruits will likely be 3 star and under since you only be allowed a certain number of 4 stars and 5 stars.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, my suggestion is recruit to the number of seniors leaving. But it has been brought up that some are wanting to recruit to 70 players on the roster. That's fine and all, but if you go over the limit...I am going to have no simpathy for you, so be very careful. The punishment is 10 hours of recruiting time. Harsh, yes. Don't go over. I'm not changing that btw.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, in my next post I will post everyone's recruiting limits

Okay, if you have a low number of seniors you may want to recruit to 70. KEEP IN MIND THAT IF YOU USE THOSE "EXTRA" SCHOLLYS IT DOESN'T ADD TO YOUR ALLOWED 4 STARS! For example, Ball State is allowed 7 4 stars...if he recruits to 70..it doesn't give him an allowance of 8.

That's fine and all, but if you go over the limit... Ok so you know i had to ask a question. How can you go over the limit? If I only have 15 ships to offer and I offer 15 how would I go over. Walk ons?

yeah, if you end up with 69 but are still a dt, and a fb short the cpu will assign walk on's to you and put you at 71. So I guess we all need to make sure we have our rqd amount at each position.

No, by offering more scholarships than allowed..

I wouldn't punish someone for something they can't control...you won't go over unless you offer too many scholarshps...

that's why we cut players...our goal is to not cut anyone

I don't understand why someone wouldnt be recruiting positions they are in need of anyway..

    idk...the point is...

this same concept is used in basically all these leagues...the leagues havent had any glaring issues...so until proven..it works

Well, there are instances where there's absolutely no way to get that FB that you need (I've had two seasons in a row with a low rated team of not having ANY FBs interested in coming to my school even though the first season, I needed one and the 2nd season, it would have been nice to have a highly rated one).

Also, I asked this in the other thread where we were talking about it, but what about the added guys during the offseason. Are they fair game as long as they are within our current guidelines?

I find it hard to believe that there is absolutely no way to sign atleast one fullback if you try.

Put 3-4 of them on your list. You will get one. If not and the walk on causes you to go over 70, we'll talk about it.
