The 1st big divisional game of the season was here for the Seahawks and they wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to be the 1st team to put a blemish on the 49ers undefeated record. Mission accomplished with a stellar defensive effort and an offense that took advantage of opportunities given. The 49ers won the toss and elected to kick off to Seattle. With the physical run game anchored by Marshawn Lynch the team in blue looked to put together a scoring drive but looked to be stifled when an over anxious Russell Wilson missed a wide open Zach Miller off of playaction. With a 3rd and long in sight a blown coverage by the 49ers allowed Sidney Rice to come free for the 1st score of the game from 75yds out to take a 7-0 lead. After exchanging punts Seattle was able to stretch their lead to 10-0 early. SF would answer back with a score to close the gap at 10-7. The wheels would sort of fall off right before the half when Seattle scored 13 unanswered points to get a little breathing room going into the half. With San Francisco getting the ball in the second half had the pressure on them to stop the bleeding and make a game out this. After an early score in the 2nd half to close the gap turnovers undid the team in red allowing the Seahawks to take a commanding lead behind the bruising run game with Lynch leading the way despite an early fumble in the 2st half with 22car for 89 and a TD. The defense as a unit forced 4 interception by the dynamic QB Colin Kapernick that helped seal the deal. Looking forward to another hard hitting game in Seattle.
