Key Additions: OL Stephen Schilling (Chargers), WR Taylor Price (Jaguars), CB Phillip Adams (Raiders) Key Signings: DE Michael Bennett, K Steven Hauschka, QB Tarvaris Jackson, S Jeron Johnson, DT Tony McDaniel, TE Anthony McCoy, CB Richard Sherman, S Earl Thomas Rookie Signings: WR Paul Richardson (Pick 45: Colorado), OT Justin Britt (Pick 64: Missouri), DE Cassius Marsh (Pick 108: UCLA), Kevin Norwood (Pick 122: Alabama), LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (Pick 132: Boston College), DT Jimmy Staten (Pick 172: Middle Tennessee State), OT Garrett Scott (Pick 199: Marshall), S Eric Pinkins (Pick 208: SDSU), FB Kiero Small (Pick 227: Arkansas) Key Losses: CB Brandon Browner (Patriots), OL Breno Giacomini (Jets), S Chris Maragos (Eagles), DT Clinton McDonald (Buccaneers), OL Paul McQuistan (Browns), WR Golden Tate (Lions), CB Walter Thurmond (Giants) Major Cuts: DE Chris Clemons (Jaguars), Sidney Rice (retired), DE Red Bryant (Jaguars) Thoughts: The Seahawks’ biggest move was re-signing DL Michael Bennett to a four year deal on the eve of the free-agency deadline. Other than making a push for free-agent DE Jared Allen, the Seahawks were relatively quiet in free agency. Reason being is that they signed CB Richard Sherman to a four year extension making him the highest paid player at his respective position. Not only did the Seahawks ink Sherman to a deal; but S Earl Thomas agreed to a four year extension as well; $25M of which is guaranteed. DE Cliff Avril didn’t receive the long term extension that he was hoping for agreeing to a two year extension with the team. CB Byron Maxwell and LB K.J. Wright are next in line for long term deals.
