[ SEATTLE, WA ] - The Seahawks (4-2) were looking to rebound in week 8 following a tough home loss to the Cardinals in week 7. Knowing that their mid-season match-up against the 49ers (3-3) would be pivotal, the Seahawks were poised to defend their house against the visiting 49ers. The Seahawks defense came out strong forcing the 49ers offense to punt on the first offensive series of the game. Special teams, however, have been the Seahawks Achilles heel of recent. Punt return man, Sealii Orr, would receive the punt and wound up putting the ball on the turf; his third special teams fumble in as many games. The 49ers took advantage of the short field and Kaepernick would hit his TE Davis on a PA pass at the goalline to give the 49ers an early 7-0 lead. Orr attempted to make up for his previous mistake taking the ensuing kick return 67 yards to the 29-yard line of the 49ers.
