    FIU Says FU to GSU
    [IMG]

The Panthers extended their winning streak to two games as they took down a pesky Georgia State team. GSU QB Ronnie Bell is much improved this season and gave the Panthers fits in the 1st half, going 7-7 and using timely scrambles to secure 1st downs. FIU’s defense was in protect mode, give up some yards but limit the big points. They succeeded as GSU only managed two 1st half FGs on the day.

FIU was lead by impact player Jakhari Gore. Gore was a workhorse, carrying the ball 27 times for 132 and a TD. He also did his part in the passing game, snagging 5 passes for 44 yards and a TD. His play helped keep Jake Medlock upright as GSU seemed to blitz almost every play.

    FIU 21-GSU 6

We started out strong, W1 (7 games covered), W2 (6 games covered), W3 (?). Hopefully this won't be a downward trend.

For those of you looking to move up to a Premiere League, this is a major factor that these leagues look for. You don't have to be good at it, but you do have to be consistent. I know you guys are busy but a 5 sentence blurb or posting some stats doesn't take all that long. For those of you who have been posting regularly, keep up the good work.

    Illinois Survives
    [IMG]
A defensive battle from start to finish ending with a goal line stand on a 4th and goal at the 1. Neither team was able to get on track offensively. The Illini benefited from two 4th and 1 stops and 4 INTs from NIU. Illinois was only able to muster 2 FG's against a tough NIU Defense, and settled on grinding out the game on ground. Final Score 6-0. GG Man

Temple stays strong against Southern Miss. 42-28
The game started rough for the Owls who had the ball stripped on the second play of the game. The turnover led to a quick Southern Miss 7-0 lead. Temple answered back and both teams went Toe to Toe up to the half. Defense got in the game in the third quarter with neither team scoring. Temple got a their first turnover on a Southern Miss INT but were not able to capitalize. The Golden Eagles put a TD on the board in the first play of the 4th. Temple answered back with a huge 75 yard TD run. Southern Miss started to drive on the Owls and pushed deep in the redzone, but a big play by the defense to strip the ball away put Temple in control with less than 5 minutes left. The Owls finished off with a touchdown to take their first lead of the night. Southern Miss threw a pick on their next drive giving Temple another scoring opportunity in good field position. After that it was all Owl defense forcing 2 more INTs to finish the night.
