Ole Miss at Vanderbilt week 1

This game started out very slow for the Rebels. A turnover and a punt was the 1st 2 possessions. Vandy scored first. Then Vandy couldn't run the ball whatsoever after their scoring drive. Total for the game was -10 rushing yards. Ole Miss scored 27 unanswered points to win 27-7. Bo Wallace was 19-29, 252 yards, 2 tds and 1 pick. He also rushed for 48 yards on 8 carriers. Jeff Scott rushed for 93 yards on 23 carriers and 1 td. It was a total team effort to win this game. DPoG was Charles Sawyer with 2 picks. OPoG was Donte Moncrief with 8 catches for 156 yards and 1 td. Nobody could stop Moncrief.

Arizona beats Baylor in Coach Automatik's debut
Preseason All American RB Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 140 yards and 3 TDs as the Wildcats defeated the Bears 24-10 to open their season at 1-0.
Both offenses got off to a slow start which could be credited to early year jitters. On Arizona's 1st play from scrimmage QB Jesse Scroggins threw a terrible pass into double coverage intended for his #2 TE Terrance Miller that was intercepted by SS Dixon. Baylor offense drove down the field thanks to a healthy dose of RB Lache Seastrunk and QB B. Petty. But on 3rd down Petty missed an open WR, and the Bears had to settle for a 48 yard FG to give them an early 3-0 lead.
That was the last time the Bears would be in the lead in this one as Ka'Deem Carey and the Wildcats offense would finally woke up from their abysmal 1st Quarter. After a 30 yard FG from Jake Smith to tie the game at 3-3, Carey would find his way his into the endzone for his 1st of 3 rushing TDs on the day before the half to give Arizona a 10-3 lead.
Midway through the 3rd quarter FS J. Tevis made an incredible play on the ball inside his Redzone which resulted in Baylor's 2nd Turnover of the game. On their drive, Arizona went 83 yards on 12 plays capped off by Carey 2nd rushing TD of the day to give them a 17-3 lead. Baylor responded nicely by going 75 yards in under 2min thanks largely to WR T. Reese(155 yards on 8 catches), the drive ended when RB Lache Seastrunk ran it in from 3 yards out to cut the lead to 17-10.
The 4th Quarter belonged to Arizona and their ground game, Carey scored his 3rd TD of the game from 6 yards out and the Wildcats defense held strong preventing a Baylor comeback to give coach Automatik his 1st victory as Arizona's head coach.
Player of the game: Ka'Deem Carey 28 carries 140 yards and 3 TDs, 36 yards receiving
It was over when... Carey scored his 3rd TD of the game as the Bears had a hard time getting anything going on offense.
Key stat: 18:35 TOP Arizona - 9:25 TOP Baylor
GG WarEagle2, good luck the rest of the way.

    Northwestern 28 - 14 Georgia State

Northwestern went up 7-0 early in the first after GSU went 3 and out to start the game. An INT by GSU GSU QB Ronnie Bell meant nothing as Northwestern had a quick 3 and out to give the ball back to the Panthers. GSU came back in the second quarter to knot the game at 7-7, followed by a quick score from Northwestern to put them up 14-7. A second INT by Bell stalled GSU's drive late in the 2nd Q and allowed the Wildcats to head in to the locker room with the lead.

Northwestern's first drive of the 2nd half came up short and they punted to GSU, allowing them to score and again tie the game, 14-14. Interceptions by Ronnie Bell ended up hurting the Panthers chances at a win. On Bell's 3rd INT, Collin Ellis appeared to have scored a 99yd INT TD, but the play was called back on a penalty and Northwestern had to start from their own 1 yard line. Colter led his squad the length of the field, connecting on a 39yd pass to Rashad Lawrence. With the ball back and down 7, GSU's Bell was picked off again, giving the Wildcats a chance to run the clock out. Smelling blood, Colter made a poor decision and was picked off, giving the Panthers life!

GSU had moved the ball deep in to the NU half, getting to 4th and goal with less than a minute to play. Bell, trying to redeem himself, narrowly missed connecting with his WR at the goal line, to turn the ball over to the Wildcats. Mark managed to run the ball back to the line of scrimmage when GSU stopped the clock. A final attempt to run the clock out by Mark was thwarted when Colter called an audible at the line, seeing the blitz coming, and lobbed a perfectly placed ball to Lawrence for his second TD of the 4th Q, completing a 94yd pass play at the final whistle.

Mark finished the game with 150yds rushing and Colter connected on all 10 of his passes, although one landed in the hands of the GSU secondary. Rashad Lawrence caught 6 balls for 163 yards and 2 scores, compiling an impressive 79 yards after catches. GSU spread the ball well, with 6 receivers making a catch.

    great game, Five_Fifs...

Terps Impress in Opening Weekend Road Win.

UCLA got it first and marched downfield with a couple of key 3rd down conversions, but would ultimately have to kick a FG. Unfortunately for Bruins fans, the 49 yard attempt fell short. Maryland got it and quickly moved down the field, but a poor pitch turned into a fumble and the Bruins were back in business. Brett Hundley went deep to get something going, but the ball was picked on a diving play off of the tip! Wes Brown took a screen pass 73 yards to get his team to first and goal where they would cash in. After stopping the Bruins twice more on another INT and a punt, the Terps put two more scores on the board for a 17-0 lead. UCLA was able to finally mount a sustained drive and put the ball in the endzone with about a minute left. The Terps raced downfield and somehow got a final hurry up snap off with the clock showing all zeros and QB CJ Brown would scamper in while UCLA defenders argued with the referees over whether or not the play got off on time! 24-7 Maryland at the break.

The second half continued a game that Brent Hundley would rather forget. After watching Stefon Diggs go 61 yards on a kick return to set up another Maryland TD, Hundley crumpled under the pressure. On the day, Hundley was just 10 of 23 for 118 yards with 5 INTs, one of which went the other way for 6 points on his teams first possession after halftime. After some more points in garbage time with chew clock on, the Terps would walk away with a big victory to jump start their season.

Virginia survives defensive battle with UCF

Virginia opened up week 1 with a hard fought 10-0 win against a very game UCF squad. UCF had the ball first and the Cavs defense forced a punt. Virginia scored on the first possession of the new season as SR FB Billy Skvobeaz BULLIED in from 1 yard out to make it 7-0. The Cavs added a FG and they went into halftime with a 10-0 lead. Most of the game was all about defense as both defenses flexed their muscles and forced each team into some very bad to's.

Much props to Coach Jamie and his squad as he came to play. Great battle and best of luck the rest of your season bro.

Arizona's defense keeps #10 Michigan in check
Defense and special teams were the reason the Wildcats came away with a 34-13 vs #10 Michigan. Backup RB Patrick Cormier returned a Kickoff 99 yards for a TD and Arizona's defense held the Wolverines to 180 yards of total offense.
Ka'Deem Carey opened the scoring on Arizona's 1st drive of the day by diving over the pile on 4th and goal from the 1 yard line. But unlike the season opener Carey was unable to get anything going in this one, he left the game late in the 3rd(Broken hand out for 8 weeks:eek:) with 87 yards on 24 carries. QB Jesse Scroggins continued to struggle only completing 9 of 17 passes for 127 yards, coach Automatik might make a switch if Scroggins can't be more consistent in the passing game. But thanks to Michigan's offense and especially QB Gardner who was unable to sustain any drives, the Wildcats didn't need it's QB to be on his game in this one.
    Player of the game: Patrick Cormier - 7 carries 49 yards 1 TD, 3 KR 162 yards 1 TD. 267 all-purpose yards.
It was over when... Cormier scored a 7 yard TD early in the 4th.
Key stat of the game: Michigan 2-11 on 3rd down.

Easy win for Baylor after that tuff first week lost.Offense was hitting on all cylinders and the Georgia State offense was no match for the bears defense gaining a total of 140 yards. We will see if this weeks momentum will carry over to next week.

i feel like i was in for a better game last night and the 24hr delay worked against me. haha. well played, your LBs dominated me and got tons of pressure on my QB and HB all game. sucks when my WR can't get past your CBs either, and when a ball goes right through his hands. what a difference from my first game.

The owls just didn't have the horses in this one. Maryland took the opening kick to midfield and then an option keeper and about 5 broken tackles led to a 46 yard gain to set up a score. Rice fumbled on their next drive and the Terps got in the endzone again. Rice then drove all the way down the field, only to see the safety make a diving INT for Maryland in the endzone. The Owls did manage a late FG to avoid the shutout but they couldnt overcome 4 turnovers to stay in the game.

For the 2nd week in a row the Wildcats defeat a top 25 opponent
Ka'Deem Carey's replacement Pierre Cormier rushed for 118 yards and 1TD as Arizona scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter to defeat #23 Ole Miss 38-21.
Ole Miss won the coin toss and decided to kickoff to Arizona to start the game. QB Jesse Scroggins found his groove early on in this one as he completed his 1st 7 passes of the game while going 4 for 4 on the opening drive including a 3rd and 17 conversion. He would later cap off the drive by dumping it off to his FB Heyer for a 3 yard TD. 7-0
The Rebels got on the board following a Pierre Cormier fumble on Arizona's 2nd drive of the day, a couple of 1st downs set the Rebels in FG range and K Ritter would split the uprights from 37 yards out. 7-3 end of the 1st.
The 2nd quarter would begin with QB Scroggins hitting his TE Cooper for a 30 yard gain to set them up on Ole Miss 34 yard line. A few plays later Cormier would extend the lead to 14-3 with a 9 yard score. A couple of empty drives later and the Rebels finally had a shot at putting points back on the board. But from 52 yards out K Ritter was a little out of his range, coach Automatik sent out Cormier in his Endzone in case of a miss and when the ball sailed short of the goalposts Cormier 8 yards deep returned the miss back for 21-3 lead. After a Rebels 3 and out the Wildcats had the ball at midfield with 40 seconds left, and they only needed 20 secs of it Scroggins would eventually hit his WR Hill for a TD pass. 28-3 Halftime
The Rebels came out runnin' in the 3rd, QB Wallace completed all 7 passes in the quarter and RB Scott ran for 31 yards on 5 carries including a 6 yard TD to cut the lead to 14 after a 2point conversion and a FG on their opening drive. Arizona's offense needed a good drive to slow down Ole Miss momentum but QB Scroggins didn't get the memo as he threw a terrible pass to the outside which was intercepted by CB Golson who returned it 36 yards for the TD. 28-21
The 4th quarter belonged to Arizona's running game and defense. After Scroggins threw his 3rd Td pass of the game to give the Wildcats a 35-21 lead, MLB Fischer telegraphed QB Wallace's pass to his TE and picked it off ending any hopes Ole Miss had at a comeback. Cormier and Scroggins would run out the clock to preserve the victory.
Player of the game: Pierre Cormier - 22 carries 118 yards and 1 TD, Returned Missed FG 108 yards for TD
It was over when... MLB Fischer intercepted Ole Miss' QB late in the 4th
Key stat of the game: Rebels 1-8(12%) on 3rd down
GG RobbyB34, good luck the rest of the way.

    UCLA Bruins: 49
    Northwestern: 0

HC Mason of UCLA has a brilliant coaching display in a win against Northwestern where the offense and defense showed out. UCLA QB B. Hundley opened up the game with an 88 yard TD pass to All-American WR Shaq Evans and the offense never slowed down. Hundley and co. rumbled for 467 yards of total offense led by a 12-14, 296 yard, 4 touchdown performance by Hundley. His primary target was Shaq Evans who had 3 catches for 163 yards and 2 huge TD's. On the ground, RB M. Jones rushed 20 times for 154 yards and a td.

On the defensive side of the ball, UCLA had a great day in the secondary and a very solid day in the trenches. To open the game, NW had a nice rushing attack going out of the shotgun, but the UCLA D found a way to adjust. NW RB M. Trumpy finished with 62 yards on 13 carries. The game was dictated by the UCLA secondary led by soph FS R. Goforth who had 2 key interceptions. THe UCLA Defense had 4 interceptions and 3 sacks in a day where they held the NW QB to 12/29, 187 yards passing, no td's, and 4 ints and 224 yards TO.

    Great game justca11mejuice

    Rice 0 UCF 10

Bittersweet victory for UCF as Qclassic could not make the game.

This was a game that was all about capitalizing on mistakes. Which Rice did not achieve. 2 Int's and a nice kick return were the Owls best chances at scoring. But the UCF defense came through with a few sacks when it mattered most to push Rice out of scoring position.

It was a rainy, sloppy game and the stats will show that. For the second straight game, UCF QB Brian Bortles had a piss poor game. A few drops were the Recievers fault but some just really bad throws. Jeff Godfrey bailed UCF out when he bobbled and then caught a wide open pass that set up the touchdown that sealed the game.

UCF needs to get their act in gear if they expect to win this season. A tough schedule ahead is not in their favor right now.

POTG: UCF defense that got to the QB for 6 sacks and countless other hurries.

Key Stat: Rice had as many KR yards (99) as Total Offense (106)

Rice bounces back from a 2 game skid defeating Florida Atlantic
In the battle of the Owls, Rice found a way to win late in the game. Rice struck 1st with a 38 yard TD run by RB Ross making it 7-0 early in the 1st. FAU would answer quickly on a 3 play drive capped off by a 3 yard TD run by RB Wallace to tie it up. Wallace would score again from 2 yards out making it 14-7 FAU which would be the score at the end of the 1st. Rice would score the only 2nd Qtr TD on a 4 yard pass from QB McHargue to WR Moore to tie it up at 14-14. Both defenses would finally settle in stopping each other the rest of the half as they would go into the half tied at 14. The 3rd Qtr and most of the 4th Qtr would be much of the same as the tail end of the 2nd as both defenses battled back and forth as neither offense could even sniff the end zone. Finally Rice would move the ball late in the 4th and QB McHargue would hit WR J. Taylor on a 22 yard post route as Rice took a 21-14 lead. Rice defense would stop FAU and Rice QB McHargue would find WR D. Moore on a 6 yard TD catch to add insurance for Rice as they went up 28-14 which would be the final score. Both RBs would have a solid day on the ground as FAU RB Wallace rushed for 143 yards and 2 TDs and Rice RB Ross ran for 123 yards and 1 TD. Coach Pearl talked to reporters after the game. " It was a hard fought game as neither team gave an inch. Their RB was all over the place as we couldn't stop him the whole game. We stayed consistent with our game plan and that gave us the lead late. We gotta lot of things to work on but a win is a win and we'll take it."

Arizona loses another starter in its Pac-12 opener
    Arizona 31
    Washington 0
This was an ugly game from the get go. Not only did QB Scroggins throw 2 INTs while only throwing for 100 yards he also got injured early in the 3rd quarter and will be out for the remaining 7 weeks:inpain:. Pierre Cormier ran for 134 yards and 2 TDs while he continues to remain a solid replacement for injured star Ka'Deem Carey. Not much else to be said other than Arizona's defense was once again stellar but Turnorvers are starting to become an issue as the Wildcats are now a -3 in turnover differential on the year. They will need to clean that up if they want to keep their hopes of playing in the Pac-12 championship game alive.
Player of the game: ROLB Flowers 9 TCKs - 4TFL- 2 Sacks.
It was over when... Backup QB Allen found WR Hill from 20 yards out in the 4th to give the Wildcats a 17-0 lead

A disappointing loss to say the least. After uninspired offensive performances, we decided to open things up more by using more shot gun sets. It worked for the most part. But the thing I said we had to avoid this year happened and that was the turnover bug; 5 in all. None more disheartening than the fumble by star reciever J.J. Worton in the 4th. Memphis capitalized and turned a 21-20 lead into a 28-20 lead. Now needing a touchdown and conversion just to tie instead of just a field goal to win, we got inside the thirty but couldn't get closer. Next is a bye and then #5 Louisville. Oh Joy!!

Key stat: Turnovers: UCF 5 Memphis 2

    THE Ohio State 52 - 20 Northwestern

ugly game from the get go. the Wildcats went 3 and out getting only 2 positive yards in their 3 plays, and the Buckeyes ran it in on their first play from scrimmage, a 61yd run. my controller almost went through my 60" plasma because of the shoddy tackling and my LBs running away from the HB as he ran up the gut. awesome.

OSU continue their onslaught, putting up 14 points in each of the first 3 quarters of action, and holding Northwestern to 2 FGs in that same time. The Buckeyes and their option plays wrecked havoc on the Northwestern defence, as they looked completely lost on the field. up 42-6 heading in the to the 4th quarter, OSU was held to FG as angels were heard singing above the stadium. after a great kick return on the kick, Colter threw it right in to the hands of a OSU defensive back who ran it in for 6 and stalled any attempt of a colossal comeback.

desperate for some offence, Colter turned in to a gun slinger, finding Dickerson for 19, 15 and 25 yard plays, capped off by a 25 yard reception by Pierre YoungbloodAry for the Wildcats first TD of the contest. the 2pt convert failed, as Szott caught the pass at the 2yd line but couldn't fall forward. OSU marched up the field but fumbled the ball late, giving Northwestern another chance to work on their offence and try to save face. Colter found YoungbloodAry for 43 & 22 yard plays, and Trumpy made good on the 2pt convert this time around.

OSU recovered the onside kick and killed the clock to end the game.

this game seems to be sucking the life out of me.

    Arizona tops USC 45-17

Backup QB Javelle Allen started the game 1-10 for 12 yards with 3 INTS!!! He would eventually settle down completing 14 of his next 20 passes while throwing 3 TDs. With Arizona's offense playing like shit to start the game, needed a spark from someone and they got it from True Freshman Pierre Cormier who returned not 1 but 2 Kickoffs for TDs(105 and 102 yards respectively).

After the second KR TD the Trojans were never really able to get anything going offensively and didn't threaten the 7th ranked team in the nation.
Before this one was over, the Wildcats lost another prominent starter in CB McKnight for essentially the rest of the year(12 weeks).

It's getting ridiculous, if I'm lucky I'll get Carey back for the Cal game. Maybe he'll take it easy on me:).

Also looking forward to your game vs Virginia, two of the best defenses this year facing off.

yeah, cuz he's so well known for taking it easy on folks, lol. Either way, you're on a roll and even without Carey, you and Cal are pretty evenly matched, his roster is pretty average, thou they will be really good in a couple years because they are young
