Good games. Lloris was like a brick wall back there. I can't believe I didn't get one past him in that first game.

C'mon guys we can do better than that. These are home&home matches. There is only one other guy to schedule a time with this week.

Your game needs to be scheduled and played by Friday. If the game is not played, I will look at scheduling attempts in the scheduling thread to make a decision and issue strikes.

    Villarreal 6
    Roma 1

Game started off tight, then Bojan snuck by the Villarreal defense to give Roma the lead in the 17th. However, the lead was short lived as Rossi brought Villarreal even 2 mins later in the 19th. Goals from Valero and Senna capped off the first half for Villarreal. 3-1 Villarreal at half. A breakaway goal by Nilmar, a long shot from Rossi, and a rebound from Nilmar on a corner put the game well out of reach.

0-0 at half. Some missed chances for each team to go ahead. One of Villarreal's best chances came when De Guzman blasted a free kick from way out that beat Stekelenburg, but hit the crossbar. Stekelenburg also made a huge one on one save on Rossi. Stekelenburg made two more big free kick saves on De Guzman shots. Game looked to be a draw. However, the break came in the 88th min. Nilmar creates some space to chip a ball into the six and Rossi is able to beat two defenders to the ball. Rossi heads it into the upper ninety beating Stekelenburg for the game winner.

Two well played matches Papa Perry . The first match Lazio started off hot with a quick 2-0 lead, and were able to relax. Stefan Mauri nets his first goal of the year, as does substitute Giuseppe Sculli. In the first game Lille struggled to get into our zone, but did have an excellent shot that rang off the post.

The second match was an entirely different story as the Frenchmen seemed to play much better at home. Lille Keeper Landreau was a beast in goal and won man of the match with a perfect 10.0 match rating. This game could have gone poorly for Lazio as Lille had 3 very good scoring opportunities, but 2 were wide of the net, and the other rang off the post. We were lucky to score both of our goals on the counter attack, catching the Lille defense forward.

Good luck the rest of the way Perry.
