19 seniors, +2 open roster (68 current) + 10 players rated under 60 + 2 cushion = 33 available, in other words we need some fresh blood!

    SIGNINGS:

    1. :3stars: SS - 79 OVR (100%) Joe Gibson - A JUCO JR, Joe will start for this team right away
    2. :2stars: P - 71 OVR (100%) Jason Beverly - Will play right away
    3. :3stars: K - 75 OVR (88%) J.R. Childress - Day one starter with a big leg but questionable accuracy
    4. :3stars: ATH - 75 OVR (100%) Ashton Merrick - another JUCO JR, Ashton is a versatile playmaker who may play both ways.
    5. :3stars: SS - 65 OVR (88%) Chris Hancock - This JUCO transfer comes in below expectations but could still play right away for a depleted secondary.
    6. :3stars: ATH - 77 OVR (100%) Obadiah Lowe - Should be an impact player for the team at HB, WR, or both. Another JUCO transfer
    7. :3stars: T - 78 OVR (100%) William Campbell - A big 320 lb JC transfer who will start somewhere on the O-line right away.
    8. :3stars: CB - 76 OVR (100%) Luke Smith - This kid will be in the secondary in nickel and dime situations for sure and could start. Yet another JC Junior
    9. :3stars: TE - 68 OVR (100%) Drew Lester - much better than initially thought (+), Drew will make an impact in the passing game
    10. :3stars: ATH - 70 OVR (100%) Terrance Burton - JUCO Soph could play QB, HB, or WR. Likely a QB who could contribute elsewhere
    11. :3stars: MLB - 66 OVR (88%) Kevin Williams - Above average athleticism. After a year or two on the bench, should start.
    12. :3stars: TE - 67 OVR (100%) Derrick Brown - an excellent run blocker who could see a move to FB in the future depending on how the roster shakes out.
    13. :3stars: CB - 66 OVR (23%) Tremayne Robinson - 'A' speed but only 69 man coverage. Good enough for Army
    14. :3stars: SS - 68 OVR (94%) Bryan Jacques - Perfect for 3-3-5, tackles like an LB but limited in coverage
    15. :3stars: CB - 62 OVR (100%) Tommy Randle - Limited but should develop into solid depth for this team
    16. :3stars: OLB - 62 OVR (100%) Dennis Martin - nice speed and coverage for an LB, will add depth early while developing
    17. :3stars: OLB - 65 OVR (100%) Justin Cox - Explosive acceleration should enable him to make plays downhill in opposing backfields
    18. :4stars: T - 65 OVR (100%) Jeff Avery - Not as strong or skilled as originally thought, but a nice addition for army regardless
    19. :4stars: WR - 71 OVR (100%) Tommy Lyles - Fantastic acceleration, leaping, and ball skills could get him on the field early
    20. :4stars: FS - 79 OVR (100%) John Bennett - Lacks elite speed but tackles like an elite linebacker, fits nicely for Army
    21. :4stars: T - 70 OVR (100%) Chris Cooper - this kid has enough talent to play right away at West Point
    22. :4stars: FS - 75 OVR (100%) Lamont Ray - a bit limited in coverage but has elite speed and tackling

So I'm guessing it's impossible to get an A+ on "proximity to home" or whatever it's called? I have some recruits from St. Paul and Eden Prarie (Minneapolis suburb) and I'm only getting an A, which is the same score as like Iowa. Weird.

Well, it's week 5 and I don't have any signings yet. I had 10 recruits in for the game against Central Michigan so we'll see.

Yeh, you've already gotten Brock Perry from me. I'm hopin I can keep you from snatching Shaun Jean too...I need to get some DEs to start developing in the worst way. I can only be so creative with my blitz packages

Yeah, I focused on them out of the gates.... signed 6, have a soft commit on a 7th, but the rest of my signings will all be freshman. I'm really excited for the 2 ATHs I signed, one can play WR or HB and the other can probably go WR, HB, CB, or safety. I will probably mix both in with formation subs liberally. I'm intrigued by the idea of a guy playing both ways, so we'll see how he pans out

Yeh, I have 4 athletes I'm on the verge of collecting. One looks to be an HB/WR who can literally change my program. A three star JUCO JR. The others have really tantalizing abilites at QB. If I sign both, I'd have a very good problem.

One thing I will say, I'm having prettty good luck setting myself up for recruiting next year...very few "needs". I may be able to address every position on my roster this season. All 11 on O, all 11 on D. And kiker and punter....crazy!!! I can recruit for depth and upgrades from this point forward. UMass is definitely ahead of schedule.

I have UMass on a superhot streak recruiting (matching the 6 game win streak on the field). Last week I flipped to recruits, one from WVU and the other from in-state rival Boston College. And this week, we picked up our first two 4-star recruits, MLB Jorge Smith and ATH Donte Gaston.

Last week I also signed a 69(+10) overall 2-STAR Center and am very close to locking down a 68(+11 so far) T.......@Abominatrix , Riptides , I'm coming !!!!!
