Yeah, he's a beast.... took one back against UCLA too. You likely wont see him unless we play next year. If you win out I likely wont get the the NC even at 12-1 and if you lose the likelihood of us playing in a bowl is slim to none.
2821 Devils (and refs) Stun Angry Bears In Berkeley A thoroughly frustrated Cal team walked off the field in disgust after losing to ASU by a touchdown that never really was on Saturday. Arizona State's final touchdown came at the end of the 3rd, when Jaelen Strong came up with a 3rd down, extended snag in the back corner of the endzone. Cal coach Davis challenged the catch and Strong's feet clearly came down out of bounds, but the call was somehow upheld, giving the Devils a 28-14 lead. You may wonder if it would have made a difference, as the play was only 14 yards, but ASU's kicker was 0-1 on FG's on the day, missing wide left from nearly the same spot on the field. At any rate Cal had a total of 35 yards in the first half. While everything ASU did worked and there wasn't an open receiver all half long. Devils went into the break 14-0. The second half was more like Cal has been playing as they cut it to 7 twice, but Kelly with Grice in the read option were absolutely deadly. Then that fateful touchdown call. That's Cal's first loss of the Pac-12 season and they still control their own destiny but that was probably the easiest game they had remaining on their schedule and at home that's just a horrible loss.
USC 53 Notre Dame 31 Things started off VERY ugly for the Trojans, as they couldn't slow down the Irish offense for the first 3 quarters, HB Silas Redd left in the 2nd quarter with a concussion, WR Marquis Lee dropped 3 first half passes and QB Max Wittek decided he was colorblind with 3 INTs at the half. Going into the 4th, USC found themselves down 31-25. The 4th quarter was a complete turnaround, as the offense was on fire (including Max Wittek with 2 long runs) and the defense stepped up for several stops, aided quite a bit by key drops by ND WRs. All told, USC would out score the Irish 28-0 in the final period.
I figured I would give it a try 3-4 times, first time all year I've attempted it with him. The Irish did not show proper respect for his wheels .
Horns still in the mix If the Longhorns wanted any chance to get to the Big XII championship game, they could not lose this game. But, it was TCU that took an early lead. They ran their offense to perfection and scored on a QB Pachall TD to WR Brown. Texas would come back with a FG making it 7-3. Pachall would then throw an interception, and would start a trend for the rest of the half. QB Ash would go deep to WR Davis. The TCU CB would tip it first, then the S, who tips it back into the CB's hand for the perfectly drawn up tip drill interception. The Horns would get the ball right back, only for Ash to throw another interception. The Horns would get it right back, only for Ash to throw another interception (see the trend). This time, Pachall would be the one to throw an interception. MLB Hicks undercut an out route, and three plays later the Horns were in the endzone. Looking to make something happen before the half expired, Pachall would throw deep, but get picked by Byndom. He returned it back and set up a Texas FG to end the half with the score 13-7. Texas would then play ball control the rest of the game. Their opening drive took 10 plays and ended with a HB Bergeron TD. Their second drive took 17 plays, ending with a HB Gray TD. The Horned Frogs offense touched the ball on twice in the half, and could do nothing either time. The key stat: Texas TOP = 19:12, TCU TOP = 8:48. GG @Ken Welsch #14 Texas 28 - #6 TCU 7
Washington 38 Cal 17 The huskies made some mistakes, but 5 Cal INTs more than made up for them. Cal's defense put up some good stops in the first half but their offense could not keep them in the game. This ends a very tough 6 game stretch for the huskies, who now get to travel to Utah before facing Colorado at home.
I like how maybe 1 of the 4 pictures uploaded are true on my game lol. And I do like how Iowa State shows up vs me lol.
@Wyrmreaver good game. Seems like my offense just isn't anything special, most likely because of this pistol offense. But we're going to keep running it and hopefully we'll get some good TE's and run blocking linemen. 1 thing I wanted to point out was my user catch in the 2nd, probably my most unlikely user catch I've ever made. The marker had the ball landing a good yard or 2 out of bounds, but Miller was able to tightrope the sideline. Wyrm, I'm pretty sure you even gave up on that ball seeing how far out of bounds it was, even I was amazed I pulled that down.
24 10 Bears defense comes up big on the smurf turf Baylor got it first and despite a poor return by Seastrunk they managed a nice drive, going 89 yards on 9 plays capped off by a 2 yd TD run by Seastrunk. On Boise's first chance they followed a quick first down with a rush for a loss, an incompletion and a sack to force a punt. Baylor went back on the move, but a sack on 3rd and 10 by DE Lawrence would force a 48 yard FG to extend the lead to 10-0 early in the second. The Broncos next drive started poorly but then Southwick found Miller on a 52 yard bomb where he just barely got a foot inbounds for a great catch on the sideline. Miller's heroics would result in a 34 yard FG after Ajayi was stuffed on a 3rs and 1. With 3 minutes until the break, Baylor put together a nice drive culminating in a 5yard TD for QB Bryce Petty on a QB wrap to give his team a 17-3 advantage. Boise got nearly to midfield with 2 seconds left and tossed a hail mary, Moore would come down with it for the Broncos, but he would fall just a couple yards shy of paydirt as the clock hit all zeroes. Boise got it first after the break and put together their best drive of the day, mixing rush and pass for nearly 4 minutes before Ajayi would cash in with a 7 yard TD run to cut the lead to 17-10. Baylor would come right back, mostly through the air with Petty showing great accuracy to give his team a first and goal to start the fourth quarter. Petty then made his only mistake of the game, MLB Renaud camped out in the middle and Petty thought he had the slant route open but the big fella stepped in front for an INT givint the Broncos new life down only 7. Unfortunately for the Broncos, 3 plays later Southwick would make a poor read thinking he saw man but instead throwing into the SS zone for an INT. Petty would then make the same read, just lifting a ball over Renaud who diagnosed the play, to hit Reese for a 15 yard TD on the curl to give the Bears a 24-10 advantage with just over 4 minutes to play. Boise would drive well into Bears territory before facing a 3rd and 10. Southwick would find his WR Moore in single coverage against a safety on a 10 yard out, but Moore would come back just a little to get the ball and Burt who made the earlier INT would drag him down for a 9 yard gain. On 4th and 1 the Bears sold out to stop the run playing right into Boise's hands since they called a pass. Southwick however, would hesitate just enough so that when he made the throw the SS Dixon had just enough time to recover and make a play to knock it down after jumping on the run. A pair of big 3rd down passes would burn through the Broncos timeouts and secure the critical divisional win for the Bears. Stat of the game: NCAA leading rusher Jay Ayaji was held to 55 yards on 14 carries with his longest rush only going 10 yards. GG @Kapono
I totally did give up, that was a sick play..... I even tried to challenge, but no challenges in user games..... I watched the replay, one foot found a home in the blue, sweet catch!
35 @ 28 Big win for Cal with USC up next. This win gets Cal bowl eligible and keeps their South title hopes alive for at least 1 more week. A win against USC would put them right back in the thick of the chase. A loss and USC all but wraps up a trip to the championship game. Arizona was difficult to stop. Kadeem Carey ran for 188 yards and 2 scores, including a 95 yard scamper on which he ran into the middle, cut directly towards the sideline, then back up the field to run away from everybody. But Kline, despite 2 interceptions, was superb. 21-27 for 425 and 3 scores. Bryce Treggs had an incredible day as well with just 5 catches for 218 yards and 2 scores.
23vs22 He did it for Texas Gilbert leads SMU to upset over Oklahoma Despite adding four interceptions to his astronomical season total, Garrett Gilbert was poised under pressure in a 23-22 over Oklahoma. After his fourth interception of the day led to an Sooner TD to put them ahead 22-17, Gilbert led the SMU offense down the field to take back the lead on an 11 yard TD pass to WR Der'rikk Thompson with under a minute to play. The SMU defense would go on to prevent Oklahoma from scoring, inching the Mustangs closer to .500 and a possible bowl birth. In the early going, Gilbert found Thompson early and often as the Mustangs move the ball at will on Oklahoma. However, turnovers prevented the offense from converting these opportunities into points. Trailing 13-3 at the half, the Mustangs came out determined after the break and took a 14-13 lead on an 11 yard pass to WR Kyle Giunyard. Notable Stats QB Garrett Gilbert - 31/46, 327 yards, 3 TD, 4 INT HB Rishaad Wimbley - 10 car, 44 yards, long 9 WR Der'rikk Thompson - 14 rec, 136 yards, TD, long 19 WR Jeremy Johnson - 5 rec, 42 yards, TD, long 14 WR Keenan Holman - 6 rec, 83 yards, long 32
USC 42 Cal 14 The Trojan offense was an efficient machine in this game, controlling the field and the clock and keeping the Cal high powered passing game on the sidelines much of the day. USC was led by the usual suspects, as Lee had 120 yards receiving with a TD to go with a 26 yard score running off the option. Silas Redd added 131 yards rushing with 2 TDs to control the clock in the 2nd half. The USC defense had one of their better days, as they kept the Bear offense off the scoreboard until the final 10 seconds. The defense racked up 3 sacks and 2 INTs on the day. Good game @Jayrah, that offense is gonna be trouble the next couple of seasons. Up next for USC is a matchup with @Cheez and his Stanford Cardinal. A win in that game all but guarantees the Trojans the PAC 12 South berth in the conference title game.
GG @Dru50 Too much immediate speed on offense for me to deal with in this one along with a couple "DOH" interceptions early. I look forward to returning the favor at home next season
