Ravens Fall to Bills at Home To Bills
Despite 5 sacks and almost 400 yards of total offense the Ravens fall at home to the Bills in the home opener. Game changing plays included an INT by flacco and a costly fumble by Forsett in OT.
Great game IKE
Cardinals come up empty at home vs the Patriots
The game started off very slow, with the first half ending at 3-3. Both team's defenses were playing very well. In the third quarter Blount plowed one in to record the first TD in the game. Shortly after a ill advised throw by Palmer, the Patriots were within striking distance again. Gronk ended up catching a wide open TD pass on the 1yd line to put the Patriots ahead 17-6. The Cardinals determined to make a comeback, marched down the field and finally came up with their first TD of the game on a long David Johnson run. The attempt to make it a 3 point game fell through as Palmer was hit in the backfield. In the end, the Cardinals efforts were fruitless as they went on to lose 17-12.
Some highlights from the game:
Denver wins Superbowl rematch
Denver would host the Carolina panthers in a rematch of Superbowl 50, in a battle of the 99 overall linebackers. The Broncos would start slow and struggle to move the ball, but Carolina would ride the big runs of 2nd year running back Corey Grant would would finish the day 11 car, 138 yds 2TD early. The first half would be quiet for the most part with a TD run by grant, a TD catch by Emanuel Sanders and a field goal from Brandon McManus for a score of 7-10 Denver at the half. The second half would be a different story as the Denver defense would wake up from their cocaine and stripper induced Superbowl comas and put on a clinic. The Defense would force Cam Newton to 4 second half turnovers, two interceptions and two fumbles. Another surprise in the second half was the play of rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch would tack on two more touchdown throws and end the day with 265 yds 3 TD 1 INT 68% completions. The Broncos would outscore the Panthers 20-14 in the second half to come away with their first win by a score of 30-21 . Good game and welcome to the league Anthony quina

Nyg @ Dal
After a week of trash talk between rivals it was finally time to stop talking and put on pads. The cowboys came in with a gameplan to run the ball and make things easy for Romo and our defense. Zeke had a solid first game rushing for over 80 yards and a td. Romo was his normal healthy self completing 71% with a long td pass to dez.
For all the good things our offense did I have to say I was more impressed with how our defense played. Anthony Brown set the tone with a int on the giants first drive. We ended the day with 4 take aways. Giants started moving the ball decently , but we never broke and only gave up 2 fgs.
Cowboys win 23 - 6
Chicago Bears @ Houston Texans
This game started off looking very defensive. The Bears opened the game marching down the field but JJ Watt made his presence known with his 1st sack of the season, forcing the Bears to settle for a 52 yd FG. On the Texans' first drive the Bears DEF stepped up and forced a punt. On the following drive the Texans' DEF returned the favor. Houston appeared to get the ball moving but then threw a stupid INT in the red zone missing their chance for points. However, the Texans DEF would continue to hound Cutler all day and JJ Watt got his 2nd Sack of the season but Dislocated his Elbow on the final play of the 1st Quarter. Watt will miss at least the next 4 games.
1st Q - CHI 3 - HOU 0
The Texans OFF picked up where it left off before the INT and once again marched down the field. This time they were able to capitalize whern Osweiler found Will Fuller for his 1st career TD. Later in the Quarter the Bears would force HOU to settle for a FG. On the next drive HOU returned the favor forcing the Bears to settle for another Barth FG. The last 3 minutes of the half were absolutely electric. It started when Osweiler found Hopkins for a 67 yd TD catch and run. After a quick 3 and Out, the Texans OFF came back on the field and Osweiler hit rookie TE Stephen Anderson for his 3rd TD Pass of the day. Leaving the Bears with less than 30 sec. But that's all they would need as Cutler found Kevin White for his first career TD with just 3 seconds left in the quarter.
HALF - CHI 13 - HOU 24
To start the 3rd Quarter the Texans marched down the field on Osweiler's arm. The opening drive ended when Brock hit Hopkins for his 2nd TD catch of the game. The only other point of note in the 3rd quarter was Novak hitting another FG.
3rd Q - CHI 13 - HOU 34
The final quarter included Novak connecting on another FG. On the ensuing drive Cutler attempted to throw a bomb to Jeffery but was picked off by FS Andre Hal. On the Bears' next drive Cutler ran the read option and opted to keep the ball himself. He fumbled when he was hit by MLB McKinney and Clowney was able to scoop the ball up and get a 15 yd TD.

Colts Take Care of Lions After Slow Start; Move to 1-0
The first quarter of this one was a sort of "feeling out" to the new season for both teams. A few punts and turnovers had the game tied at 3 early on. Then the pressure of the Colts D-Line started to come to fruition as their newly acquired DT Joseph from the Vikings was responsible for 2.5 sacks on the night and helping the Colts get a total of 9 sacks of QB Matt Stafford. Newly acquired FA Karlos Williams had a 60+ yard TD in the first half, but that's all he did as he broke his collarbone in the next series and will be out for 7 weeks . Frank Gore picked up the slack and had a 50+ scamper of his own en route to a TD to seal this one.
Owner Mr. Nellycuz after the game:
"When you make a trade like we did with a high profile talent such as Vontae, you run the risk of looking like a complete idiot. Linval Joseph stepped up and made us look like we know what we are doing. He caused a lot of pressure and helped stop the run. We are starting with our D and O Lines and going to build from here. I like our team and with a few more pieces we will be contending for a SB in the near future."
(((I will try to add some stats later)))
Niners down 17-0 come back to win 27-20, stream attached.

Pats hold off Cards in sloppy week 1 matchup
This game was a defensive struggle for most of the game but finally opened up a little in the second half. I think we both were a little sloppy in this one , but good game seranrap7 and good luck rest of the way.

EAGLES ROUGH UP BROWNS (29-10)... In RG3's return to Philly this time wearing a Browns uniform but with all to familiar results for Mr. Griffin. Robert was sacked a total of 9 times which lead to stalled drives for the Browns. Leading the way was Fletcher Cox who tallied 4 sacks on his own, feasting on Greco and Erving. While the Eagles offense took a while to take flight rookie QB Carson Wentz finally gained some momentum hitting Zach Ertz after the 2nd half kickoff for a 75 yard TD pass. The Eagles never looked back following this drive with a smothering defense and efficient offense.
The Titans opened up at home against the NFC north Vikings being led by newly acquired Sam Bradford via trade with the Eagles. Bradford was roughed up early and all game long giving up 4 sacks, losing a fumble and throwing 4 interceptions all but sealing the home team a victory.
D. Murray - 18 car 138 yds 1 TD
J. Casey - 3 tkl, 3 sacks, 1 ff

Giants bounce back against familiar foe
After a humiliating loss to the most over rated madden squad ever, Dallas Cowboys , the Giants got back to basics this week. Eli Manning finally looked comfortable as an 6'5" Big headed bastard can in the new ownerships offense and the defense was making better reads in the passing game and not being as content.
The Saints would open with the ball but Drew Brees would find DRC for his first interception of the day on the games third play. The Saints defense was strong though holding the Giants to a field goal on a 10 play 36 yd drive. Forced to punt after a three and out the Saints punter delivered with a 66 yard net punt pinning the Giants inside the 10. Rookie WR Sterling Sheppard would take an out route up the field 92 yards for the Giants first TD of the year and a 10-0 lead. A few plays later DRC would take an interception to the house giving the Giants a 16-0 lead and they never looked back.
Gg Cheez can't wait to play ya again
Browns Take Down Ravens 27-14
After losing their 12th straight season opener, the Cleveland Browns jumped right into division play hosting the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns started off the scoring with a Jamar Taylor pick six in his first start of the season, replacing veteran Tramon Williams who struggled mightily in the opener. The Browns rattled out another 20 points in the form of a TD pass to Josh Gordon, a Crowell touchdown scamper, and a couple Patrick Murray field goals. The Ravens scored two late touchdowns in the form of Flacco TD passes to Maxx Williams and Breshad Perriman, respectively. For the second game in a row the Browns did not turn the ball over in what has to be a promising sign for head coach Hue Jackson. "I am enjoying our ball security, however I feel like it might actually be hindering our offense a bit. We have not been moving the ball all that well and it might just be due to our reluctance to take risks," Hue said in his post game presser. He continued, "Besides risk taking, our offensive line just hasn't held up to give Robert the time he needs to take the shots we want him to. He was able to hook up with Gordon today, but that was one of the rare chances he had to sit back in a clean pocket." Griffin was sacked 3 times on Sunday bringing his season total to 12 in what has become a worrisome trend. It doesn't get any easier for the Browns as they head to Miami next week to take on Cameron Wake and the Miami Dolphins. Good game bawvu97
Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans
The Chiefs came out swinging hard early on. Texans missed a couple of plays earky, then the Maddening kicked in. Texans fell behind 27-0. Then 30-7 at the Half.
Second half HFA helped the Texans get back in it, but when it got close in the 4th Madden gave the Chiefs a perfect drive for the TD.
FINAL: KC 37 - HOU 27
(Too disappointed to do stats)
Sorry we couldn't play Dru50
We'll jump right to the fourth for this one.
With Buffalo leading it 6-3. Ryan Fitzpatrick who didn't have his best game, led the Jets down the field to score the go ahead TD when he found "The Machine" Brandon Marshall 1v1. Marshall was a bit better than Ronald Darby on this play, and it was a great catch to give to the Jets the lead with under 3 minutes in the game.
From there, Shady McCoy took over, gaining 45 yards on a run. Tyrod Taylor did the rest. Buffalo was at the Jets 10, when he took a brutal sack losing 10 yards. Instead of calling a timeout, Rex Ryan continued to run the offense. Tyrod Taylor found John Clay in the back of the end zone with 27 seconds left to make the score 12-10.
Having missed 1 xp already, and a FG as well. Rex decided to go for two, to ensure the Jets needing at least a TD in the final seconds. On the conversation attempt, as Tyrod dropped back, he missed a wide open McCoy, and was hit as he released the ball. FUMBLE! That was the call on the field. The Jets LB picked it up and raced the other way. Shady gave chase. It was a race, but the Jets player had a 15 yard head start. Shady dove at his feet at the 4 yard line, and barely missed. Conversion returned! The game was tied now 12-12 and headed to overtime.
I'm OT, the Jets rode the momentum, and the offense that didn't have its best day, moved down the field to score in 4 plays and end the game.
Undoubtedly, everyone on the stadium left asking what just happened! Can't wait for the rematch in NY.
What a ending...

Jax came into SD and got the win... SD jumped out to a lead 12-3 after 2 missed extra points and SD's kicking game was out of the picture due to kick meter lag...
Yeldin broke off a 68 yarder after SD second score and then led to a Jax td.
On the next drive sd would be inside the 10 and Gordon would fumble after a big hit and Jax would end the half with at fg making it 13-12.
The second half is where rivers fell apart throwing a handful of ints and Jax pulled away with the multiple score victory...
Saints Survive Mistakes, Beat Raiders
Drew Brees threw three picks, but the Saints defense wreaked havoc on Raiders QB Derek Carr en route to a 23-14 victory. New Orleans scored on their first play from scrimmage on a screen pass to Brandin Cooks, but the passing game was kept largely in check afterwards with 4 turnovers. Mark Ingram carried the load, rushing for over 100 yards in the season opener. On the other side, the Raiders could get absolutely no momentum. The Saints had six sacks, many of which led to a Carr fumble. Latavius Murray was held completely in check as well.
Turnovers: NO 4 - OAK 5
Drew Brees: 8-14, 127 yds, TD, 3 INT, FUM
Mark Ingram: 17 car, 132 yds, 2 TD
Brandin Cooks: 4 rec, 90 yds, TD
Cameron Jordan: 2 Tackles (1 TFL), 2 Sacks, 2 FF, 2 FR, Safety
Derek Carr: 17-34, 255 yds, TD, 3 INT, 4 FUM
Latavius Murray: 13 car, 29 yds
Amari Cooper: 4 rec, 50 yds
Yeah me too, hopefully next time schedules are kinder to us both. Best of luck the rest of the way.
Panthers bounce back after superbowl rematch loss!
After a tough week last week for Cam Newton throwing for multiple interceptions, he was able to bounce back throwing for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns finishing with a qb rating of 153.9 at home.
Kaepernick on the other hand passed for 321 but finished with a rating of 65.1 with an interception.
Jonathon stewart led the run game for the Panthers with 116 yards and a touchdown.
49ers struggled early against the panthers stout defense while Carolina's offense took advantage going up 21-0 on the 49ers finishing the first half up 31-6. The second half was lead by defenses as both teams failed to muster many points. In the end the Panthers win 41-16 over the 49ers
Post em up
Buccaneers @ Cardinals
After losing at home in the opening game, the Cardinals came into their second home game ready to win. On the first Cardinals offensive play David Johnson ran it into the end zone from the Cardinals 25 yard line. The Buccaneers had a chance to stop him early but whiffed the tackle. That set the tone for the rest of the game as the Cardinals flew ahead while limiting the Buccaneers to single digit points until the 4th quarter. The final tally was 41-13 Cardinals.
Stats and Highlights:
Panthers overcome Vikings stout defense 33-19
After a fumble by Cam Newton on the first drive the Vikings were able to go up 0-3. In a slow first quarter the Newton lead a long drive down the feild for a touchdown only to miss the PAT putting the panthers up 6-3.
The second quarter was lead by big plays by both teams with the Panthers going into halftime up 19-9.
In the third quarter the Vikings came out and put a quick touchdown on the board. The Panthers were able to fire back with a stronh passing and running game to score twice.
The 4th quarter was a defensive showdown as the Panthers tried to hand on to their 33-16 lead. The panthers only allowed one feild goal with great red zone defense to close out the game 33-19.
Cam Newton had a strong game throwing for 325 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.
Despite Sam Bradford's 298 yards and 1 touchdown it was not quite enough to keep up with the Panthers offense. Rushing yards were close to none as the defenses were stout against it. The rookie L.Treadwell had a big game for the Vikings while Benjamin played outstanding pulling in 2 TDs and 97 yards.
The Vikings star RB Adrian Peterson suffered a devstating injury with a broken collarbone sideling him for atleast 7 weeks as the Vikings have been plagued by the injury bug. Gg BigK44
After the 2 teams scrimmaged for a half due to my router shitting the bed on me, the squads played for real. The Jets came out with a game plan to move the ball using a short/intermediate passing game which was extremely effective for the 1st half, as they jumped out to a 10-0 lead. They were also assisted by 2 early Alex Smith interceptions. The Chiefs offense was finally able to get on track with one of 2 screen passes Jamaal Charles had on the day. The turning point before halftime was a Justin Houston sack that forced a fumble, returned by Hali for a 14-10 halftime lead.
The Chiefs defense was able to hold fairly strong in the second half, and Eric Berry picked off 2 passes on attempted deep shots to that asshole Brandon Marshall.
Good game Nockturn315
EDIT - Black Republican the reason the game shows 3 starts is because I was unaware we had to use the default playbook for our team (I started the 1st game using SF playbook, so we quit and restarted), and then my router crashed at halftime of our first attempt so Nock and I agreed to replay the whole game.
