    Week 1 is up.

Only user game is Bama (Perry) vs USC (Basis).

Everyone else has a CPU game.

Some of the SEC guys have 5 user games to enable each Pac 10 team to play an SEC team out of conference. I tried to match up the top Pac 10 teams with the top SEC squads and make sure everyone had an A rated schedule strength. I took out FCS opponents and pretty much left the rest alone.

We are starting with default AA sliders and will adjust after a few weeks if needed.

Let me start off the festivities here:

    #17 LSU 38 #22 UNC 17

That's how it goes in Baton Rouge. We were in control of this game really from the start, but the Heels capitalized on two LSU turnovers and turned them into 14 of their 17 points, but they were never really in this game after the 2nd quarter.

We went off for 21 in the 2nd to take a 28-10 lead into the half and UNC couldn't recover.

    Jordan Jefferson had a decent day going 10-20 208 2td's and 1 pick 6.

Stevan Ridley stunk up the joint and has been replaced at RB by 5th year SR. Richard Murphy who had 8 carries for 71 yards and a td. The td was a 65 yard iso that he housed early in the 2nd qtr.

FS Stefoin Francois had 6 tackles and a forced fumble.

so it was a great debut all in all. Next week we open up SEC play with a trip to Vanderbilt.

    Auburn 27
    Utah 3

The offense was far from electric but the defense played solid and secured the win. The defense forced 4 interceptions and a couple fumbles. Safety Savage was the leader on the defense, making 10 tackles along with recovering a fumble and picking off a pass. The defense also scored a touchdown off a Wynn interception. On the other side of the ball Cam Newton had a terrible debut. He passed for 80 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Thankfully the run game was better and the team combined for over 200 yards on the ground. Dyer and Burns scored touchdowns on the ground. Dyer's performance in this game may bump the true freshman from #3 on depth chart to #1.

Bond - UW beat BYU 42-14. The dynasty wire is your friend.

UCLA beat KSU 35-3, in a solid but unspectacular performance. HB Johnathan Franklin ran for 133 yards and 2 TD's and OLB/DE Akeem Ayers (who will be visiting a PAC 10 QB near you soon) had 3 sacks.

The passing game for the Bruins needs some work and in user games will probably be this teams achilles heel.

Since it looks like we all got our games in last night, we'll advance to week 2 when I get home tonight.

BTW - for those who weren't in the chat last night, Perry beat Basis in a tight game. Thought I'd post it since Perry is too cool to post in forums anymore.;)

Twist would lick the skin right off Lindsay Lohan....and he'd probably get drunk just off the alcohol oozing from her skin.

    Oregon blasted UNM.

Darron Thomas left the game early due to an injury... Costa filled in nicely, but we're hoping this doesnt become a trend.

    LaMichael James is ridiculous

    #1 Alabama - 24
    #13 USC - 21

Perry's Crimson Tide came out and scored 21 straight points. Then, to close the first half, we got on the board which started US rattling off 21 straight points. Bama got the ball back with 45 seconds or so and marched with ease into field goal range for the win.

Good game Perry. Your rushing attack was manhandling my defense. If I wasn't able to get some momentum going into halftime, I don't think this one would have been close. I was happy with the comeback, but obviously wish we could have pulled the upset.

I'll advance us by around 6pm EST tonight. The only week 2 user game is Florida (Cole) vs Oregon (max).

That should be a barnburner, and you fools better get it in tonight.

Evidently Cole is heading out of town tomorrow night and was hoping we could have a 4 hour advance so he can play max and Leon in the same night.

I told him I don't see it happening, but I leave it in your hands.

While we are on this topic, maybe we should all agree how we deal with people being out of town. Here is my recommendation - if you are going to be gone for more than a day, get a fill in or we STS. No excuses, no exceptions and nobody gets whiny about it. For me, if I'm gonna be gone (which I will be for a week in November) I will pass the file to someone else. That will ensure we keep this puppy rolling at a good pace.

    How's them apples?

while i'm gone i fully expect to be put on auto. i don't like the idea of people playing other peoples games for them and i don't like the idea of a league waiting for someone that we know can not play.

i do think it's cool to let the guy on auto have someone recruit for them.
