You don't have to tell us every single recruit you signed. This is just for you, if you want, to let us know if you just snagged a bad ass or w/e. As long as it relates to recruiting, you can post it here!!

I got a 3 star athlete last night before the xbox live kicked me off. 6' 185 I remember he was fast I think in the 4.3 -4.4 range. Looks like a DB, but we'll see. He was the #31 athlete on the board. I'm going to update my recruiting board here after the bulk of my visits which will be happening in the next few weeks.

    Nabbed an in-state FS.

Gavin Wilson - FS - Okmulgee, OK (#58)
    :3stars:
    C+ SPD
    C- AWR
    B- TKL
    B+ MAN
    B- ZONE
    C+ STA
    B+ INJ

A little slow but could be a big time hard hitter...WAY better than what I have now I'm sure. Will have a shot at legit PT or starting right out of the gates. Not the best, but I'm thrilled!

Nice pick up Jman Rice is picking up steam. You're still the 2nd best team in Houston!!!!

1ke I had 2 recruits visit this last week. I hope to sign them. I passed on having kids come on our week. I know that its a big game and a win would sway them quite a bit but I couldn't take a chance and not impress them with a win. LOL As far as the FS I have a soph and a Junior starting right now and the JR is a better CB than FS so I will move him in the offseason and make room for the stud frosh if he signs.

Its ok though fellas....it really is just smoke and mirrors. Once past all the glitter of the big names, there is no real substance to the class.

My class in going to be kinda like a cracked out Brittney Spears. Looks hot, has a couple of neat tricks and uses, but still shit in the end!

Just signed 3* HB Chris Brown. LOL. He will fit in my "smash-mouth" scheme perfectly... He'll end up taking a Redshirt I assume. I have a stable of young RBs that should develop into really good players.

Damn you Tulsa! You better not steal my 6'4 S! I need him bad!

All right....Here is the full lowdown on Mr Cooper coming to Southern Miss....

Southern Miss needs a FS and SS for next season. In the pre-season, there were alot of guys scoped out to fill these holes. Greg Berry was one, and Sam Cooper was 1 of 3 FSs on the board. Week 1 is here, we went to go to the find pitch for playing time since it was at A+. Whuddya know, he responded with a very high. Hard Sell, Hard Sell, Hard Sell!!!! By time week 2 was here, Sam Cooper was had USM listed in his top 5, and the other 2 FSs barely even noticed USM. So with that, off the board they went, knowing Mr. Cooper had to be the focus, scholarship offered to Sam Cooper in week 2, hard sell for an hour minimum every week, not even attempting to find any other pitches for at least a month...haha.....and we got him to come just edging out Cal.

He and Greg Berry have already been speaking on the phone, and forming a relationship that should keep the Golden Eagles in great hand for at least the next three years. Greg Berry has already committed to USM as well, being a giant of a SS. Hopefully something along the lines of Taylor Mays!

Houston got a huge addition to their football team this morning when Rivals 150 selection Clint Berg a :4stars: FS committed to the Cougars. Clint at 6'4" and 214 lbs is the #2 rated FS in the land. He is from Bellmead TX and is looking forward to help out the team next fall. "I think he is starting from the jump, we have a lot of faith in him, he is a big hitter." said Coach York. His high school coach's have compared him to a Sean Taylor type FS.

Rice fends off Tulsa and snags the 206th ranked recruit in the nation. Travis Ralph, a kid with two first names, was rated as a :4stars: recruit coming out of Orange, TX. He is a 6'4 204lbs SS and he can fly. His official 40m time was clocked by scouts at 4.44, and maxed out on the bench press at 408lbs. When he received the news of Ralph's commitment Coach Max was quoted as saying "He will work out great in our system. We will use him all over the field, in coverage, blitzing off the corner, and to man up against slot receivers. He has the speed to drop back into coverage from the line of scrimmage, and the strength to get to the quarterback. Those are the main reasons we needed him in our system...and the main reasons I feel he will be successful in our system. ... Put it this way. We are glad he chose to stay close to home".
