USER GAME OF THE WEEK
USERS: bawvu97 vs DelZaster
Prediction: Ravens 17-10
SPECIAL TEAMS (RAVENS)
WHY THE RAVENS WIN:
Both defenses are steller but I think the Ravens will take advantage of their great offensive line and run the ball with Rice and Williams. Mendenhall will be the downfall for the Steelers in this game due to his butterfingers.
Talk about a matchup of guys Long in the tooth. Try not to aggravate the arthritis fellas.
The Dolphins had their lucky rabbit's feet this week and upset the Patriots last night. Score, summary, and stats to follow as soon as the EA online franchise website servers are back up...
Jets 24 Cowboys 14
Revis had a INT return for a touchdown over 100 yards.
LT had over 100 yards on the ground.
Tommie Harris 4 sacks
The Dolphins splashed their way to victory this weekend, despite a seemingly floundering offense. The game started with strong showings from both team's defensive units, holding eath other scoreless in the first quarter.
The start of the second quarter saw the first point going up on the scoreboard when the Dolphins kicker D.Carpenter drilled a 36 yard field goal. The Patriots immediately answered with an 89 yard touchdown pass from Brady to Welker on which Dolphins cornerback S. Smith completely whiffed on an attempted interception. The dolphins special teams surged on the PAT and blocked the kick.
A few possessions later, the young Chad Henne noticed a free safety blitz on second and long, audibled to fly routes, and hit his slot receiver in stride for a gain of 30 to setup a 2-yard touchdown run by D. Thomas on the next play.
Each team was able to put up a field goal before the half ended, making the score 13-9 dolphins, at the half.
The third quarter saw renewed efforts from each team's defense, and went scoreless again. The Patriots' offense was able to mount a drive at the end of the 3rd, and at the beginning of the 4th quarter Tom Brady threw a jump-ball up in the corner of the end-zone, and Chad Ochocinco came down with it for a 2-yard passing TD.
The Dolphins offense had been largely ineffective all day, which was probably a factor in the Patriot's defense tee-ing off with pass blitzes on the next drive. A HB Dive play caught them off-guard, and sprung Reggie Bush into the open for a 56 yard touchdown run.
After a few first downs by New England on the next drive, the Miami defense was able to hold on 4th and short, forcing a turnover around midfield. Dolphins came back to the running game in an effort to keep the clock moving, and a big 19-yd TD run from D.Thomas gave the Fins a 2 score lead that they would not relinquish.
Steelers 6 vs 41 Ravens
Great game mate. The Steelers started off better/luckier than we expected but the Ravens soon got to grips and showed strength in a great performance and deserved the win entirely.
Hey Del Thanks for Doing this...
As Del Mentioned the Ravens came into M&T Bank Stadium all hopped up on Crab Cakes and Natty Boh Beer. THey were fired up until Ray Rice fumbled on the first play of the game. Rice was held to ~ 45 yds on 20 Attempts. The Steelers Run D was Stiffling but Houzmansadeh finished with ~ 140 yds through the air with 2 TD's. Rice Managed to Fumble again
Mendenhall FInished with > 100 yds on the ground

Buffalo wins in Arrowhead! 28-14
It was a pretty close game until the 2nd half when CJ Spiller would open up with 2 TD's to give the Bills the win.
As soon as the wire gets back up I'll update.

Week 2 Oakland 24 - @ Buffalo 17.
Pretty fucked up game. First of all it was glitchy and laggy. I have yet to play a smooth online game of madden for what it's worth. Maybe it's me?
Anyway, Buffalo jumped out to a 10-0 lead and it looked like the rout was on. My defense stiffened up though in the 2nd quarter and I scored 17 2nd quarter pts to tie the game at 17 all going into the half. The 2nd half was all defense, and some costly errors. Buffalo was pinned down inside their own 1 yard line with about 2 minutes to go but fought there way out of that field position, including converting a 4th down and inches from their own 35. But a few plays later Fitzpatrick threw a pick 6 to Chimdi Chekwa with about 30 seconds to go to give Oakland the lead and eventually the game.
gg Nautica like I said, that was a pretty fucked up way to lose. Tough break there. Next week the 2-0 Raiders host the Jets.
