    Vikings win 27-24.
Ponder throws for 3 TDs despite 1 INT.
Up 27-17 and facing 3rd and 2, the Vikings opted to pass the ball. Jarius Wright ran a short 3 yard curl route but found himself blanketed by 2 defenders. Ponder threw it anyways which resulted in an incompletion and a 4th down punt. Luckily, the Vikings stood strong when it came down to it. After being picked on and picked apart all game, the rookie from UCF, Josh Robinson made a huge play at the 1 yard line on a streak that gave him his first career interception. The Vikings then proceeded to run the clock out. A very tight game that could have been put away early after 2 turnovers in the 1st half and a 13-0 lead going into the locker room.
    Christian Ponder - 290 YDS, 3 TD, 1 INT
    Blaine Gabbert - 307 YDS, 3 TD, 3 INT
    Adrian Peterson - 24 ATT, 96 YDS
    Toby Gerhart - 6 ATT, 35 YDS
    Maurice Jones-Drew - 14 ATT, 50 YDS
    Kyle Rudolph - 4 REC, 118 YDS, 1 TD
    Jarius Wright - 1 REC, 12 YDS, 1 TD
    Percy Harvin - 3 REC, 129 YDS, 1 TD
    Justin Blackmon - 6 REC, 206 YDS, 2 TD
    Laurent Robinson - 3 REC, 88 YDS, 1 TD
Sacks -Brian Robison, Kevin Williams, Jared Allen, Rashean Mathis
Interceptions - Josh Robinson, Robert Blanton

Revis Welcomes Stevie to His Island
-NY Darrelle Revis had a welcoming party in NY for Stevie Johnson this week. Not only did he shut down Johnson to 1 catch for 20yds but Revis came up with two INTs. Althought Revis wasnt in the spotlight by his self. David Harris (2ints) and Aaron Maybin (2sacks) help led this Jets D to 7 turnovers. Alot of Defense in this game but the high for the Jets was the offense. No Mistake for Sanchez. Yes everyone is shocked.. Dont be fooled the defense let this Jets team run the ball most of the game 150/265 yards were rushing. Sanchez will lead to the Steel City to take of Noles and the terrible towel gang.

Even when I thought I threw a decent pass, it was bad. How many were user picks? I counted at least 3.

Here is the full game if you would like to view. Both offenses struggled mightily. Weeden and Vick with 4 picks a piece.
GG BigSmooth33. Don't be afraid to run Vick if teams drop 7-8 in coverage like I did.

    Titans Win Big at Home
Titans did a great job containing Tom Brady all game and even had him leave the game early due to an injury but this game was all Titans. Rookie WR Kendal Wright was found early on in the game for 2 quick TD's then started being blanketed all game then Chris Johnson broke out. Titans offense was in full effect tonight as well was the defense holding patriots to 108 total yards offense. Not much to say in this game. Titans coach is happy for the win but knows he can't ride the high wave for too long. On to next week.

TAMPA, FL.- The Buccaneers get a big opening season win against conference foe Carolina Panthers 24-3. The Bucs used a balanced attack to keep the Panthers out of sort. Josh Freeman wasn't spectacular by any means, but he did manage the game and kept his turnovers to a minimum. Rookie HB Doug Martin went over the century mark with 106yds and a touchdown while Blount added 72yds rushing and another score. On defense, DE Micheal Bennett lead the team with 7 solo stops including 4 sacks of Carolina QB Cam Newton.

CHICAGO, Illinois -- The Bears were able to survive the season opener after getting a scare late in the game by a pesky Colts team that wouldn't go away. There weren't many big plays in this one, but the few that happened were all in the Bears favor. All eyes were on Andrew Luck as he started his first NFL game and came out strong. The Colts were able to move the ball but the Bears would bend and not break and would forced Indy to punt several times in the first half. Fast forward to the last 2 mins of the game, its a 10-9 game in favor of the Chicago. Culter was able to wing a ball deep and Hester would out jump 2 Colts defenders for the catch. The very next play the Colts would blow a coverage and Alshon Jeffery would catch the wide open TD pass. 17-10 Bears. The Colts would be able to drive down the field and score and Plaxico Burress would drop a rare ball in the endzone for a failed 2 point conversion. Indy would recover the onside just to give it right back to plays later on Lucks 3 int of the night.

    -Game Leaders-
    Passing: Luck 31-44 for 311 + 1 TD - 3 INT
Rushing: Luck 4 for 40 yards
    Receiving: Plax 13 for 150 + 1 TD

    49ers 38 - Packers 24
The Niners were looking to come out of the gates sharp and had a tough opening game on the schedule as they had to travel to Green Bay and face off with Aaron Rodgers. The Packers won the toss and kicked off to start the game, and on the 49ers first play from scrimmage, Frank Gore went right up the gut for 74 yards and a TD, can't ask for a much better start than that. The Niners would get the ball back after that, and Alex Smith would find Vernon Davis wide open for a TD pass to go up 14-0. The Packers would hang around, however, scoring a TD on a pass from Rodgers to Nelson for a 77 yard bomb, then they would score again after an Aelx Smith interception to tie it up at 14. But the Niners were too strong and scored two more times before the half ended to go up 28-14 at halftime and never looked back.
    A. Smith - 14/20 for 250 yards 3 TD's 1 INT
    A. Rodgers - 17/27 for 250 yards 3 TD's 1 INT
    F. Gore - 23 for 148 yards 1 TD
    K. Hunter - 4 for 29 yards 1 TD
    J. Rodgers - 14 for 72 yards
    V. Davis - 4 for 56 yards 1 TD
    R. Moss - 2 for 47 yards 1 TD
    G. Jennings - 4 for 67 yards
    J. Nelson - 2 for 86 yards 1 TD
