Big Apple, Big FinishThe Giants and Packers Battled to the Wire in Week 12's GOTW 24 - 20 New York, NY - It was deemed the Game of the Week in HK. A Primetime matchup of two of the leagues best. The stage was set in MetLife Stadium, and the Giants and Packers collided it what may be the best game of the season. Green Bay received the opening kickoff, and Leon Washington nearly took it home as he was caught at the 14, setting up Green Bay in beautiful field position. It didn't take the Packers long as Aaron Rodgers found Randall Cobb for 6, giving Green Bay an early 7-0 lead. New York would tack on 3, but the Packers offense quickly marched the field. This time, HB Jacquizz Rodgers would put Green Bay up 2 scores, 14-3 Green Bay after the first quarter. The second seemed no different, as Green Bay tacked on 2 field goals, giving them a 20-10 lead. The New York Touchdown came off a Manning to Randle combination, which as slowly emerged as a favorite target for the ELIte WB. With under a minute to go, New York got greedy. After a huge reception by Randle, giving the GMen the ball inside the Packer Redzone, the NYG coaching staff decided to take one more shot at the endzone with 6 seconds left, instead of taking the field goal. Wrong choice. MLB AJ Hawk picked off Eli Manning, stopping the Giants offensive attack in its steps and securing the 10 point lead for Green Bay going into the half. In the 3rd, Eli Manning would throw another pick, as all hope seemed lost for the Giants early. However, the defense stood tall and forced a Green Bay punt. Eli Manning would yet again find Randle for a touchdown later in the quarter, pulling the Giants within 3 after the third quarter of play. The 4th saw highlights. Green Bay would look to make work of the field and the clock on their way to a scoring opportunity, however, all momentum swung back to the boys in blue quickly. Aaron Rodgers dropped back to make a possible TD throw when his receiver slipped, leaving the pass to fall into the clutches of Corey Webster. Websters interception revived the crowd as MetLife Stadium was back into this game. With about 6 minutes left, the NYG coaching staff made up for their greedy play calling earlier, to decide on one thing. Do not give Aaron Rodgers the ball again. The GMen meticulously marched down the field, burning the clock along the way. On a key 3rd down and 3, the Giants would miss a pass that would eventually force the Giants defense to try and stop Rodgers one more time. However, a roughing the passer penalty gave New York 15 yards and a fresh set of downs. The Giants continued to move the ball and burn the clock and with 13 seconds remaining, Eli found TE Marty B for the game winning touchdown, securing the Giants 24-20 victory over the Packers. gg soxandgators

Texans Take Down The Lions This game would be one where the Texans would have to play hard for every point they got. It would start well with Shayne Graham hitting a 49-yard FG early in the second quarter. The Lions would respond with a good drive later in the quarter caped off by a Stafford 2-yard sneak. This would put the lions up 7-3 at halftime. On the second half kickoff, the Lions would take it all the way. This score would make it an uphill battle for the Houston Texans. The Texans would start the uphill battle with a strong drive aided by a strong run game. Foster would get a 1-yard TD run to cut it to a 4-point lead. In the 4th quarter, the only score would come on on Texans drive that started at the Houston 7-yard line. Andre Johnson would make a catch a pass to get the Texans on the Lions side of the field. On 4th down and 10 at the 25 Mallet would find Houshmandzadeh for the Texans touchdown. Stafford would drive the Lions down the field, but with 8 second left, he would throw a pick to end the game. Final Score: 1714
Redskins Hold Off Cowboys In Dallas, Have Won 3 Straight
The Washington Redskins came into Dallas on a 2 game winning streak, looking to push their record to 5-6. They did just that behind the arm of Robert Griffin III and some big plays from the defense. Brian Orakpo had a big interception in the fourth quarter leading to a Tim Hightower TD that would put Washington up by 2 scores. After a second big catch from Dez Bryant and another score from Dallas, the Redskins recovered the onside kick, sealing the game. Great game BobJr
Panthers Run Over Eagles 34-20 Philadelphia, PA....AP.....The Carolina Panthers went into the "Link" on the wave of their first victory of the season. This week the Panthers pounded the Eagles into submission with a relentless rushing attack that saw both of their RB's having solid games. Deangelo Williams had his best game of the season rushing for 106 yds on 25 carries while Jonathan Stewart had 7 carries for 67 yds. Carolina struck first after a fumble on the opening drive by Leshon McCoy. Newton hit Panther TE Greg Olsen on a 37 yd TD pass to make it 7-0. The Panthers then forced a punt and after a 10 play drive Deangelo Williams ran off left tackle and scored a TD to make it 14-0. The Eagles offense could do nothing on the following possession going three and out. Carolina wasted no time, scoring quickly on a Newton to Steve Smith 59 yd scoring strike to put Carolina up 21-0 with 4:21 left in the second quarter. A volley of FG's by both kickers ensued to make the score 24-6. A late Desean Jackson TD brought the score to 24-13 going into half. The second half began just as the first half as the Panthers marched on a long drive capped by another Deangelo Williams TD from 7 yds out to put the score at 31-13. Once again Eagles QB Michael Vick hit Desean Jackson a 38yd TD pass in the fourth quarter but it was too late as the Panthers added yet another FG to seal their second victory of the season.

CP7 DOES IT AGAINPonder leads team to victory, 38-17. The Bears were able to get their claws clamped on AP to his season low of 21 yards on 12 attempts. However, CP7 would toss for 359 yards and 3 touchdowns with just 1 interception. The receivers have really stepped up in Harvin's absence. CP7 has been able to distribute the ball evenly to his guys. The story of the day though has to be the defense. Jared Allen and Brian Robison both had fumble recoveries for TDs. That changed the game and gave CP7 more flexibility with the offense.
Bengals earn second straight in a dominating defensive performance vs. Oakland. Oakland mustered just 123 of total offense, and Andy Dalton finally played quarterback. Dalton (29 interceptions on the year) was extremely efficient and protected the football. HUGE in this game was Bernard Scott's performance in his first start after the benching of BenJarvus Green Ellis. Scott rushed 25 times for 146 yards and 1 TD, allowing Dalton some freedom through the air. AJ Green returned to his 100 yard/game years, and Armon Binns added 68 yards and a touchdown for the Bengals.
