vs49ers 24 - Patriots 21 The 1st place 49ers traveled to 1st place New England for a showdown in week 15 with both teams battling for playoff positioning. The 49ers got the opening kickoff, ran the ball 3 straight times for a first down, then tried to get fancy and Alex Smith threw a pick deep over the middle for the only turnover of the game. But the Patriots could not capitalize against the 49ers defense and they tried a long field goal that missed short, giving the Niners great field position. From there, the Niners would use Frank Gore and Vernon Davis to build a lead and never look back. The Patriots would get a TD to bring them within 3 points at 10-7, with a minute before half and the Pats getting the ball back in the 2nd half, but the Niners had 2 timeouts left and drove the length of the field and scored on a 1 yard TD pass to Vernon Davis with only 7 seconds left to extend the lead to 17-7 at half. This was the way the Patriots day was going, they would fight back, then the Niners would just answer back, and after the Patriots last TD to bring it to 24-21, the Niners just ran out the clock behind the running of Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter. Frank Gore ran the ball 23 times for 110 yards and had 2 TD'sVernon Davis caught 6 passes for 114 yards and 1 TDTom Brady had 256 yards passing and 2 TD's gg SteamboatReb and good luck to you with the rest of your season and in the playoffs
where do you guys get these icons?
When I get back to my desk in about 5 minutes I'll post you the link to them.
It was a very hard fought and fun game. I got my break early and couldn't do anything with it and it bit me in the ass. Wish I had broadcast/recorded that game. A real donnybrook in the Keith Jackson-est sense of the word.
Good deal. Man on the spot. I walk to slow.
vs - 24 - 13 Miami and Jacksonville were locked in a defensive struggle with the Jags leading 13-10 going into the 4th Qtr when the HAL9100 was suddenly logged out of the game and PSN. It was agreed to pick up with the last Qtr to play and the Jags up by 3. A second attempt was this time squashed by the EA Servers and the two coaches agreed to resume the next night. Once the game resumed again, this time PSN and the servers cooperated, and the two teams went back at it for the final 7 minutes of action. In the final period the Dolphins took the kickoff and slowly began moving down field on the running of Lamar Miller and a couple times throws by Tanneyhill to keep drives moving. The Dolphins moved into the redzone and with a sure tie in their grasps took a shot for the win and Tanneyhill found Davone Bess in the corner of the endzone and Miami took the lead 17-13. The Miami defense stiffened and got the ball back and the Dolphins offense benefited from a short pass to Bess that turned into a 60 yard run when Bess broke a tackle. A few plays later Bess was rewarded for his efforts with his 2nd TD pass of the game and increased the Miami lead to 24-13. Unlike other games this year, the Miami defense held onto the lead this time and closed out the game and gave the Dolphins a 24-13 win. It was a great game by HAL9100 and I look forward to other opportunities to face the Jags in coming seasons.
35 - 32
Dallas got off to a decent start then it was ugly as DeMarco Murray put it on the turf and the Steelers would convert that into points.
Steelers took a 21-10 lead into halftime, a bigger margin then what the score suggested.
Dallas played themselves back into the game and I'm willing to bet that Bob will do things differently in the same situations next time.
Cowboys final possession proved costly, when they had a big play to get them within FG range they elected to try and get the TD before the FG. Well they ended up with the TD but with 0:00 on the board and didn't have a chance at another onside kick.

Rams - 13
Vikings - 10
This game should have been decided in OT, but a bad lag cost the Vikings the game tying FG. The Rams defense came to play in this game, holding the Vikings to under 200 yards of total offense. The Rams coach was very happy with the way his team played, and the Rams are looking to play spoiler the rest of the season.
Going into Soldier Field always has a special feel for me. It represents generations of men and woman who have given there lives and those still alive who sacrificed so much to make us all FREE. The game was cold being that it is late December. And both sides were hoping to make a statement being it is such a heated rivalry. The Packers grab the lead early and built off of it for a 28-0 lead at half. I cant confirm it but i think thirdalarm cut the head off a chicken in the half time locker room speech. They came out like it was a new game and quickly cut it to a 28-14 game with a whole quarter to go. The crowd was crazy into the game by this point and while the Packers were driving with 5 mins left to go. But we had a disconnect. So we played a 5 min first quarter to complete the game fully as we left it. But it was not the same as the momentum the Bears earned and used to cut the lead to 28-14 was gone. Packers added 2 pointless field goals to wrap it up 34-14 in week 15. Best of luck to you thirdalarm in the HK draft and FA weeks. Build em up cant wait for some more North battles next year.
Larry Fitzgerald gets it done Cards Beat Lions 27-10 Skelton throws for 2 TD's no picks Beanie Wells has a huge game with over 100 yards Cards pick off Stafford twice 1 of which was taken to the endzone
@ Raiders Hold Off Chiefs For The Win! The Raiders pull out a tough victory against the Chiefs 38-35, both offenses seemed to move the ball at will. Jamaal Charles would have a 128 yds on the ground and 3 TD's, while Carson Palmer would lead the Raiders with 331 yds passing with 3 TD's and 0 INT's. The real difference in the game was a costly INT by Matt Cassell in the late stages of the 1st half that was returned by DeMarcus Van Dyke for a TD to put the Raiders up 28-14 at the half after being down 14-0 to start the game. Coach Sporty would rally the troops late in the game to cut a 17- point deficit to 3 but The Raiders would recover the onside kick and preserve the victory.
Eagles won 35-17 against RG3 and the Redskins.
Mike Vick went 15/17 for over 200 yards passing, 1 TD through the air and two more on the ground.
The difference really was the Eagles defense. Forcing three interceptions, 1 for a TD, 1 fumble, and 3 sacks, RG3 never was able to really get going. Cullen Jenkins was in pure beastmode too, racking up 4 TFL's out of his 6 solo tackles on the game.
