49ers 34 - Cardinals 7
The 49ers controlled this one from the get-go as the first play from scrimmage for the Cardinals was intercepted by Chris Culliver and returned for a TD. The Cardinals turned the ball over on their next possession as well, leading to another 49er TD, and at halftime, the score was 27-0. The Niners tried to slow the game down in the 2nd half by mostly running the ball, and they were successful in doing so as well, with Kendall Hunter carrying the ball 33 times for 146 yards and 2 TD's. The main story of this game was the Cardinals offense vs the 49ers defense. The Cards just couldn't seem to get a rhythm going, as every couple plays, they would either throw an INT, fumble the football, or get hit and drop passes. The Cardinals turned the ball over 8 times, but I believe one of those came from a defender. The one turnover the 49ers had was an INT by Alex Smith, but on the return, the Cardinal defender was hit hard and fumbled and the 49ers recovered to continue their drive. That's pretty much how this game went for the Cards.
With the win, the Niners appear to have guaranteed at least the #2 seed in the NFC and have earned a 1st round bye.
gg Diddy81 i look forward to our matchups next year.
Carolina Panthers roll to 7th straight victory to finish 7-9. New Orleans:..AP.....The Carolina Panthers started 0-9, then rattled off 7 straight victories. Drew Brees threw an uncharacteristic 7 INTS as the Panthers rolled over the Saints 38-17. Cam Newton threw fro 290 yards and Deangelo Williams had 88 yards and a spectacular tackle breaking 63 yard TD run to lift the Panthers to victory.
Chargers finish dissapointing season with win over rival Raiders 26-21
Rivers throws 2 touchdowns, finishes with 36 on the season. Reggie Bush ran for over 100 yards in his first start of the season (and perhaps last game as a Charger?). Larry English started for the injured Shaun Phillips and added 3 huge sacks.
GG DrunkenSoldier see you next year!
Another classic rivalry between these two hated rivals. The score doesn't do this game justice. From the start it had the looks of a 13-10 ball game. Even though the Vikings had clinched the 6 seed and had nothing to play for they decided to come out and try to spoil there rivals #1 overall seed. The Packers after a 3 a hold on defence returned the punt for 6 and two drives later returned a pick for 6 to take a early 14-0 lead. Nothing went right all day for the Vikings with penalties and drops. The missed opportunities piled up and never gave them freedom to do what they do best. These two can likely meet again for a third time this year in the playoffs. They both came out of the game healthy and looking forward to making a run. I want to wish coach controllerabuser gl in the playoffs and hope that one of us can rep the NFC North division and make some noise in Februrary.
Giants 2nd Team Hangs On, Beat EaglesNew York Allowed Their Starters to get the Lead, 2nd String Finishes 2nd Half Giants 30 - Eagles 24 East Rutherford, NJ - The Giants had already clinched playoff berth and were looking to go into the Wildcard Round healthy, but ready. The first string Giants took the field for the first half and gave New York a 24-10 lead at the half. After falling 10-0, New York surged. Ahmad Bradshaw found the endzone, followed by an Eli Manning pass to WR Danny Coale. With about 40 seconds left, Philly thought they had plenty of time to move down field to keep the game close. Instead, as time expired in the 2nd, Vick threw a costly Pick 6 to CB Jayron Hosley, giving the Giants their 14 point lead going to the locker room. The 2nd string Giants came out in the 3rd quarter and held on, forcing two more Interceptions of Vick and sending the Giants to the postseason with a little momentum. The Giants are likely facing the Minnesota Vikings in MetLife Stadium, which should be a great matchup for both teams.
Miami 38 - New England 35 The Dolphins traveled to Foxborro to close out the 2012 season with an opportunity to earn their 3rd straight win and even their record at 8-8 for the year. As has been the case all year for the Dolphins this was a game of momentum swings but fortunately for Miami they were able to swing the momentum their way when they needed it the most. Miami raced out to a 14 point lead early only to see New England counter back and tie the game at 14-14. The two teams continued to rock back an forth until late in the 4th Qtr with with New England in easy FG range and the game tied at 28-28 the Dolphins got to Brady and forced a fumble which was picked up by Cameron Wake and returned it 74 yards for a TD and what appeared to be the game winning points. But Brady was not finished yet as he quickly marched the Patriots down the field and tied the game at 35-35. But the Dolphins were left with just enough time and moved into FG range and converted the short FG and escaped from Foxboro with a 38-35 win. Great Game SteamboatReb
Texans Pick Up W #10 Turnover would set the tone in this game. On the first play of the game Luck would be picked off. This would set the Texans up with a short field. Mallet would finish the drive with a 11 yard TD pass to Johnson. On the Colts next drive Luck would be pick off yet again. The Texans would get a FG off that turnover. Indy would respond back in the second quarter with a very strong drive capped off with a 4 yard TD run by Moore. As time expired Mallet would find Houshmanzadeh across the middle for a 19 yard td. 17-7 Houston at half. In the third quarter the only scores would come on two Graham FGs 23-7 at the end of 3. The Colts would have another good drive and they would get a TD on a pass from Luck to Brown. Lewis would get the last score on a 22 yard TD run. 30 14

Jets Win, But Lose Big in Week 17The New York Jets defeated the Buffalo Bills in NY Jet football fashion this week, on the defensive side. Tebow looked his normal self passing for 2tds along with 2int's and the run game started to look better this week. The final score was 31-14, but the Jets would lose in a way. Their face of the franchise and best player CB Darrelle Revis went down on a interception with a wrist fracture. Doctors say Revis will be out until AFC Championship, thats if Jets can get their. Another injury came early in the game, Dustin Keller who has been injured for half of the 2012 season went down and is expected back if the Jets can make in to the HK Bowl. These key injuries will make Coach Petty want to kick someone in the nuts, but he should kick his self its week 17 for god sakes. PULL YOUR STARTERS!!!!
Final was 31 17..... anyway it was fun.
Can you explain the safety to me? I thought Williams intercepted it in end zone and was tackled as he left the end zone. If that's the case it should have been my ball inside the 1. If that wasn't the case it should have been a touchback. Lag was bad at that point so I missed something.
Sorry about Revis, Keller got hurt week 1 vs me as well.
Gg. Go represent the afc east in an awesome way in postseason.
When you kick yourself in the nuts, will you post the video to TSO? Please?
