    DOWN GOES #1:

    Missouri Blows Out Sooners

    week4.jpg

The Missouri Tigers used a steady run-heavy ball control game to control the clock and keep Landry Jones and the high powered Oklahoma offense off the field and walk away with a 38-7 victory. RBs Kendal Lawrence and DeVion Moore each had 13 carries apiece and QB James Franklin had another efficient outing, going 14 for 20 for 204 yards, including 7 targets to TE Egnew.

The Tigers got on the board first, with a 46 yard run by Lawrence. The Sooners were forced 3 and out, and then another time-consuming drive ending with a 2 yard run by Lawrence. Oklahoma's offense stalled yet again, giving Lawrence another chance to score.. This time on a 65 yard screen pass which he took it the distance. The Tiger defense played tough, stopping the run and not allowing Jones to ever get into a rhythm. At the half it was Missouri leading 21-0.

The second half was more of the same. Oklahoma's lone score came off a errant pass by Franklin that ended up being picked off by Oklahoma's Corey Nelson giving them good field position. They scored on the next play on a 41 yard pass to Kenny Stills. Missouri used ball control offense to run the clock out and end the game.

Next up, Missouri travels to take on Kansas State.

Kansas State wins first game under Steamer 28-10. Jacory Harris failed to complete a pass in the first half, but did have a pick.

    TAMU - 33
    Okie St - 15

This was not gtstang's day at all. Outside of the first few minutes of the game, everything went Texas A&M's way. Weeden threw 5 INTs, Blackmon had 3 catches for 25 yards, and Hunter had 14 yards rushing. Ryan Tannehill finally went a game without throwing an INT, and WR Jeff Fuller had 68 receiving yards and a TD.

The game started terribly for A&M, who got a quick INT, but then I missed a 20 yard field goal for the 2nd week in a row. Then after another defensive stop, Okie State forced a fumble and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown. After that it was all Aggies. TAMU would add a field goal to end the 1st quarter, and another FG early in the 2nd. Then Weeden threw another pick, and this one was returned 37 yards for a touchdown, giving A&M the lead 13-7. Another field goal and a touchdown drive to end the half put the Aggies up 23-7 entering the 3rd, and a touchdown pass to Fuller at the start of the 4th iced the game essentially, putting A&M up 30-7 before OSU would get an offensive touchdown.
