Advance is 10 cst Sunday
Battle of the Gators in this one. Game was close threw one as neither guy budged much. Was a feeling out process and after back to back throws on 3rd down that Skelton missed the Packers gained momentum. The Cardinals set up some nice plays but just couldnt execute them into first downs. The Packers running game got going and carried them most of the day. Was a pretty boring game for stats or a epic read for a summary. Was a A-B game that played out pretty bland. I wish the Cardinals great luck this year and in the draft. Once Diddy81 gets his QB fellas he will have the piece he needs to carry this wr core to the playoffs and further. Only big stat was Mark Ingram running for 151 yards and a TD.
Cowboys outduel the Falcons in a ridiculous Shootout in OT, 59-53
The Cowboys were riding a high after beating the NY Giants last week, and they headed into another huge game today. This week they took on the red hot Atlanta Falcons who have hit on all cylinders all season. Opening the game, the Cowboys scored on a big play to Dez Bryant, and this would ultimately set the tone for a no defense game. Atlanta QB Matt Ryan would throw for over 500 yards but the Cowboys offense would be able to put up its own yardage totals. Halfback Demarco Murray rushed for 250 yards on 25 carries, and QB Tony Romo was efficient while throwing for over 300 yards. Defensively, Dallas scored twice on two pick sixes. It was scores by unlikely characters at that. CB Orlando Scandrick and MLB Kyle Wilbur both were able to confuse Matt Ryan and bait him to throw the ball their way. In overtime, Dallas took nearly 3 minutes off the clock before scoring on a TD pass to Dez Bryant.
Texans D Does Well Again! In this game, the Texans would just take over from the start. On the Bills first position, they would throw a pick to Cushing. Houston would end up turning that INT into a FG 3-0 Texans early. The next score, would come off another turnover when the Bills would fumble, and GloverQuin Jr would pick it up and run in60 yards for the TD 10-0 Texans at the end of 1. In the second quarter, the Texans would continue to add on as Ryan Mallet would find TJ Houshmandzadeh for a 21 yard TD. The Bills would finally find the endzone on a pass to Steve Johnson to cut the lead to 10. The only problem was that the Bills left too much time on the clock for Mallet the Texans. He would drive them down the field, and they would pick up a FG as time expired. Both teams would play well in the second half as the only score would come on another Graham FG.
GG bcduggan Final Score: Buffalo Bills 7 Houston Texans 23 Team Stats:
Titans Win Again34-17 Da Bears would score at will in the first half leaving the Titans down 10-3 at half. Titans would get ball to start half and fumble on kick off and Mariani would get a broken jaw. Marshal would get the TD to make it 17-3. Da Bears would hurt RB Jamie Harper and leaving CJ with nothing coach would bring in Javon Ringer who is fighting for a contract. On his second carry of the game he broke off a 49 yard TD run. Next drive he would get an 18 yard one and then finally get a 15 yard Td giving him his 3rd TD of the game. Coach would smile and say, guess we were too high on Jamie Harper. CJ was motivated as he would get the TD that would seal the deal making it from 28 yards out. After the game he said 'Man that felt great, almost forgot what the endzone felt like' he did look motivated after scoring a TD and looked like he was running harder. The Titans might be returning to form as they bring back to M12 form of getting 211 yards rushing and 3 turnovers with 10 sacks. Kamerion Wimbley leading the team with 6 in the game and a forced fumble. Titans might be back to form.
Giants Defense Holds StrongThe Big Blue D Holds Pitt on Multiple Redzone Attempts to Secure Win 17 - 13 It was an absolute thriller in MetLife Stadium as the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants battled to the final seconds in what would be one of the most intense football games of the season. The Steelers started out strong, holding the NYG offense to absolutely no production and moving the football easily. However, before the end of the first half, New York found life and got some momentum on an interception of Big Ben, giving New York a lead into the locker room. The excitement came in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. After holding New York to a field goal, giving the Giants a 17-13 lead with a little over 2 minutes remaining, the Steelers marched down the field and moved into the Giants redzone with approximately 40 seconds left. Looking to burn the clock out and score a touchdown, Pittsburgh ran the ball extremely well, eventually finding themselves in a goal to go situation from inside the New York 3 yard line. After two failed runs by Pittsburgh, the Steelers offense would look to the air to secure a touchdown lead with no time remaining. However, with 4 ticks left on the clock, Mathias Kiwanuka would pick off Roethlisberger, securing the victory for the New York Giants. Absolutely Great Game KnightNoles
IF the Steelers fail to get into the playoffs this will be one of the plays I will look back on and just put my face into the palms.
Saints Shutout Philly; Lose Brees / Lofton for 4 Weeks Player of the Game: HB Darren Sproles - New Orleans - 9 Car, 80 Yards, 1 TD, 6 Rec, 118 Yards
Redskins Defeat AI Panthers 28-9
The Redskins didn't give up a touchdown to the user-less Panthers in a game where Robert Griffin III finally looked like himself again, passing for 248 yards and TD while rushing for another 65 yards and a score. Santana Moss caught his first touchdown of the season and Ryan Kerrigan added two sacks to solidify the win for the Redskins. A bye week is in store for Washington to prepare for the second half of the season.
MJD and Blackmon Dominate as Jags Notch 2nd Victory
Jacksonville, FL - After 4 straight losses, things weren't looking very good for the Jaguars and things were looking even worse after a 49-14 loss to the Packers last week. This week, the Lions came into town for another tight battle in Jacksonville, but unlike most of the season, the Jags managed to come out on top. The 2 teams went back and forth for the entire game. MJD would finally have a good game as he broke 100 yards for the first time this season. The Jags took the lead first behind a TD pass from Gabbert to Blackmon. The Lions responded quickly as Stafford would hit Titus Young for a 37 yard TD pass. In the 2nd quarter, the Jags would regain the lead behind Blackmon's 2nd TD reception of the game. Lions' RB Jahvid Best would get injured in the 2nd quarter and backup RB Kevin Smith would come into the game and perform well. Smith would tie the game up at 14-14 with a TD run. Later in the quarter, the Jags would be running their 2 minute drill and get inside the Lions' 10 yard line. Gabbert would end up forcing a pass that was intercepted in the end zone with just 3 seconds left in the half. The Lions would get into scoring position first in the 2nd half but Jason Hanson would miss a 52 yard FG and would leave the Jags in good field position. A few plays later, Gabbert would hit WR Laurent Robinson on a post route for a 49 yard TD to take a 21-14 lead. On the Lions' next possession, Stafford would get injured and have to leave the game temporarily. Donovan McNabb would come in and show signs of his old self. He would drive the Lions down the field and tie the game up at 21-21 on a pass to Megatron early in the 4th quarter. This time though, the Jags would respond quickly. Gabbert would hit Blackmon for his 3rd TD reception of the game to take a 28-21 lead. After that, Stafford would return to the game but he would struggle. With just 5 minutes left in the game, Stafford would throw 2 interceptions killing the Lions chances of coming back in the game. The Jags would hang on for a 28-21 victory.
@ Carson Palmer leads Raiders to there 3rd straight Win The Raiders score 20 points in the 4th quarter to pull out the victory, behind the arm of Carson Palmer. Denarius Moore led the receiving core with 7 catches for 173 yds and 3 TD's including a 98 yds TD reception.
