Virginia shuts down Navy's option attack and gets the win 38-6. The Cavaliers decided to kick off and give Navy the ball first. Navy had no problem driving down the field their first time thanks to their no huddle approach. But the Cavalier defense stalled them to and Navy kicked a field goal. Now it was Sims turn doing what he does best throwing motherfucking interceptions, he tried to hit Jennings on a slant and got that shit intercepted Cougs did nothing but laugh. Navy would then kick another field goal to go up 6-0. The Midshipmen defense did a great job stopping the run thanks to their two linebackers. Sims got that interception out of his mind and had a field day airing it out. He would end the day with 300+ yards and throw for 3 touchdowns. The Cavalier defense shut Navy out the rest of the game.

    Maryland Falls to BC 41 - 36

With the help of CJ Brown's 6 INT's, Maryland's record falls to 2-6. At this point in the year we can only look forward to next year. The sole highlight for the team on the offensive side of the ball is Power Back HB Brandon Ross (Freshman). Before getting hurt in the 3rd quarter Brandon was averaging a little over 5 yards per carry. The repeated holding calls on offense killed drive after drive forcing the terps to throw the ball when they did not want to.

    Oklahoma 26 VT 21

The game was scheduled for last night but due to inclement weather (actually my kids not participating in bedtime at all) the game was rescheduled for anytime Hokie felt was good. The game was then scheduled early in the morning and it looked as if Oklahoma hadn't even woke up. VT drove the ball confidently down the field for the score to quickly make it 7-0 Oklahoma then had a chance to show what they could do on offense and promptly threw a pick 6 to a swarming VT defense.

This could have easily been game over but Oklahoma behind backup RB R. Finch were able to pound the ball and then break a big run against a VT defense that has been super solid vs. the run all season. From that point on Oklahoma started to assert their will on the Hokies and would step up themselves on defense. In total Oklahoma gave the ball up on 1 int and 1 poor option read but VT could not solve the OU pass defense and threw 5 picks for the game which was the main story. Trailing by 13 VT was not ready to give up they drove for a TD to cut it to 6 and forced a punt with very little time on the clock. A desperation heave was short of the goal line and the Sooners escaped with a win and as an added bonus gave the conference challenge to the Big 12. It looks as if the Sooners if things fall right for them can still compete for a Big 12 title with some huge match ups still left. National Title hopes may be a stretch but were the goal going into the season so they will still hold out hope for that as well.

Coach Bennett was interviewed after the game. "I have so much respect for Hokie Effect we have been longtime friends and have met numerous times on the field. It is always a pleasure to play him and I look forward to many more battles in the future!"

Player of the Game: R. Finch
(searching for pictures for him, and I found some but found this one which is much more enjoyable :))
