    Lets talk about it.

    First, I would like to thank JR for putting me on to this guy:

    [IMG]DT Laron Hawthorne.

    Insta-commit. At 6'3 & 283lbs, Laron has great strength & good ACC. He will most likely be starting next season as I have right now 3 FR that don't look like much.

    Another Insta-commit:

    :3stars:C Erik Jones

    Erik is 6'3 & 287 lbs. Great ACC, good impact blocking & strength. His run & pass blocking are average, but with only 1 center going into next season, he fills a need.

    Another Insta-commit(I posting while I'm doing my recruiting. Sorry for the back to back to back post):

    :3stars:C Kelvin Jordan

    6'6 & 289 lbs, Kelvin is a big guy, but with average strength, run, pass, & pass blocking. There will be open competition for the starting job next season.

    We get our first signing of the year, another [IMG]for our D-line

    [IMG]#3 DT, ESPNU150 T. Concepcion - MS - Large DT at 6'3" 296. Only C+ str, so he is carrying around a bit of a gut on that big frame, but will be near unblockable in the future as he comes in with B+ pwr moves, and B- finesse and block shedding. A solid tackler and has a good first step. A future starter and plug in the middle.

    The recruiting battles this season should be fierce. It looks like MSU, Boston College and Ole Miss are going to be battling it out for several recruits.

    Should be interesting.

    :4stars:TE Jermaine Adkins - Jermaine is mostly a blocking TE, but hopefully he can develop his catching ability over the next 4 years. He is 6'6 & 251lbs with ok ACC & top speed. He had scholarship offers from Florida, Mississippi State & Georgia Tech.

    Georgia had 3 big time recruits into see the #6 USC vs. #9 Georgia matchup...... hopefully they were impressed and will sign.. a top ranked rivalry game..... should give me a big time visit...... unfortunately, all of my home games are against ranked users in the SEC early.... and with the big time recruits you cant wait until late or you will lose them.......

    I'm hoping you and Ga Tech split the visit bonus for that FS in week 3.

    The recruiting battles are getting really tight.

    BC and Ole Miss are battling it out for Scott Martin a 6'6" 213 lb beast of an Athlete;

    Ole Miss and MSU are going after Reggie perry a shutdown corner from Florida;

    Ole Miss has taken a big lead for Will Ashley a do it all WR from Florida;

    Ole Miss is battling USC and BC for the chance to land Sean McQueen a super stud MLB from Texas;

    Boston College is trying to go down south into a pipeline state for Ole Miss and grab Xavier Ryan, the number 1 player in the country. Ole Miss is using its southern "connections" and is pulling out all of the stops to land this RB.

    Ole Miss and MSU are battling it out for Thomas Harper a hard hitting FS out of Louisiana; He has B+ Tackle and B+ Hit Power, so its going to be a dog fight for this guy. Ole Miss has a commanding lead, and thinks that MSU should spend its time else where.

    Ole Miss and Wake Forest appear to be having a rare recruiting battle with Doug Witherspoon a :5stars: athlete out of Texas. Wake has the early lead, but Ole Miss probably won't take no for an answer;

    There are a few other battles brewing but Im not sure how much Ole Miss will be involved in those battles. These are 7 big time recruits and Ole Miss has to stay focused.

    I wouldn't call Doug Witherspoon a big time recruit. Especially considering you probably spent minimal time with him for the first couple of weeks. You're on every :5stars: guy's list, go recruit against someone else!

    I am doing well on the corner so far. And have gained on the FS, the first week I only gave him 10 minutes and a scholarship offer and halved the gap between us... so then I moved him up the board and worked on him a bit more, gaining each week so far.

    I was going to post it but I didn't want to be "That" guy.....and you've had it rough enough lately. I figured it was too soon to call you a racist.

    And modern family is awesome and that bit was funny as hell.

    Miami inks it's first recruit of the season this week.

    FB Ron Williams JUCO JR :1stars:
    6'3" 209 lbs Spartanberg, SC

    Ron is a stud FB that's ready to come in and play immediately. We picked up a stud FB transfer from Alabama in the offseason, but given Williams' abilities we had to take a shot with him. He has B+ speed and B acceleration. He's also a bull with the ball in his hands as he's difficult to tackle and very capable of running defenders over or stiff arming them to the ground.

    We're still trying to gain our footing on a lot of other recruits and we have some pretty good battles shaping up. Hopefully we can make some big strides in the coming weeks as there's plenty of places we could use some help next year.
