    Season 2 Cap Number

I know Nate mentioned that the salary cap was likely to change in year 2. Do we know what it will be or is it going to end up staying the same at 335.

I'm pretty sure it won't stay the same. However, until progression hits and we get an idea of where people are at currently, we won't have a number in place I don't think.

I say we wait until we see posted cap numbers, then make a decision from there.

with ppl taking cap hits and with rooks coming in, we will probably need to raise it at least 10-20 points

Hey Nate I'm going through the cap book and updating accordingly. As per rules, I am upping FA deals where progression takes a player into the next cap grouping. I am not lowering contracts where regression occurs. So far we're about 50/50 people above cap and below.

Hey I made a mistake....I thought I had 55 players when I released the FB and DE....unless I had retirements I'm down to 50 on my roster.

I know warrick dunn retired, but I might have made a mistake.

If I need to add these two players back on my team let me know. I'm on the road today.

I'm sure most people will be below 53 after cuts. Everyone will be down to at least 50, if not less. I personally don't see a big deal with being below 53 after mandatory cuts.

No....I cut those two before the season ended so I wouldn't take a cap hit. They weren't part of my mandatory cuts.

You were at the minimum of 53 players before offseason. So you would have to keep those two cuts on your roster to comply with rules. So you'll have to resign them at the cost they were before. Which players did you cut? I have two different cap books now: one for the end of year 1 and 1 that has updated numbers for year 2 progressions.

I say add 10 points. . .looking at all of the team management theads this should be enough. 35 is way too much in my opinion.

Also I'll resign those guys (Carey Davis and Travis Laboy). I'll get things straightened out tomorrow and post my new team management thread once I know which way we are going in the offseason.
