I don't see a way to avoid having some dead time unless we were to get through the playoffs in one night (which I don't see as feasible).

Here is my projected schedule right now:

Can we set an offseason night so we could knock everything out in one night? Like that Friday night(11/30) at 8 or Sat night at 9 (time pending west coast players. Or 12 hour advances until a set draft time?

Just questions. How did we do it last season?

Last season we ended the season a day earlier and then plowed through the playoffs. There is no way that pace will be replicated every year.

That is possible again. Depends on the guys in the playoffs. I will prolly be missing out.

How did we do the offseason a real week of no games seems a bit long. Is there a way we can condense that down to one night is what im mainly asking

What did we do last season. I dont remember us taking a week off.

A week and 2 days off for guys who didnt make the playoffs is a long time.

I was talking actual offseason its self. Last season I thought we did 12 hour advances during the offseason stages where you have full days this time. Is that a possibility? 12 hour advances each stage up to the draft

We did, but what is the point hurrying through if it isn't going to equate to getting to a Sunday draft earlier?

Why are we so locked into a sunday draft time? People still have to work the next day. Why not draft on that Tuesday night around 9.

We have people who work second shift. At least on a weekend day they have a shot of being available.

Lets be honest its damn near impossible to get 32 people online at one time for the draft someone is always going to miss. That extended period of time with no games kills LG buzz.

I was wrong earlier when I said one week of not playing if you dont make the playoffs its actually 2 weeks of not playing a single game if you dont make the playoffs. That is a vey long time

Do you have some alternate proposal that doesn't involve people getting playoff games simmed (like the Super Bowl last year) or missing offseason? The draft is going to be on a Sunday. That's non-negotiable considering I can't do anything to help people who are unavailable?

We shoot for that first sunday. Do the all Free agent stuff on Saturday say start at 7 with 15 minute advances. Then draft that sunday.

Im not trying to start anything I just thought that was a bunchof dead time

    No.

I understand you don't do anything else, but most people aren't going to want to commit a whole weekend to TMFL.

Why not? It works out and kills a week of dead time with Friday being a swing day. Could be used for resignings could be used for FA around 10 or 11 est. Not to mention what if the playoffs get played sooner.

Because most people actually do things besides sit on the Xbox all weekend. Some of us have families that demand our attention.

I have a family and a fiance. Im not trying to make you mad i was just trying to toss around some ideas with a shorter schedule. its still a full week of dead time with half the LG not playing in the playoffs.

Realistically Im the only one who has commented on the topic. Why dont you ask the LG what they think about the idea? Give us some options

Looks good. Thanks for giving an idea of the flow once playoffs start.

I for one am looking forward to the break. My madden batteries need to recharge so I can come back strong for season three.

If other people chime in asking for a more condensed schedule I'm all ears, but I still haven't heard a reasonable approach that is in the best interest of the league.

I wouldn't worry about league buzz. This league is moving at a nice clip and has plenty of buzz. It's the holidays, it's a couple weeks, the league will be fine.

Aren't there 17 weeks in an NFL schedule?

Shaun Mason what pace on we on as far as # of seasons?

I got no problem with the gap between tasks , not like this is NCAA & we only have a dozen guys , we were bound to have an off season where we had a gap until draft day at some point.

Off topic , any word on fix from our friends at EA with the salary cap glitch ?
