Cincinnati will be relying on it's talented stable of WR's this season.

    Offense: Missouri
Defense: Multiple D (for now, we may go exclusively 4-3 but I'll need to check my roster tonight)

Why do so many people use the 4-2-5? Isn't TCU the only team that actually uses it as a base defense? I'm just curious.

There is an old thread on it from last season, but to be honest, it is wierd that nearly half this OD uses it.

For now it's allowed, but all the 4-2-5 guys were warned to not abuse the defense and to mix up their playcalling or that could change.

Rice also uses the 4-2-5. Texas used a Nickel base defense with Earl Thomas(Safety) playing the 3rd CB... which was basically a modified 4-2-5. Texas State, the school I go to, runs it too.

Hey Dru, Cincinnati is running the multiple D playbook. Sorry if my earlier post confused you.

I just got here and I'm not trying to stir up trouble, but that defense sure is different to play against than any other.

The way I look at it is like this - if you hate the 4-2-5 (like me) it's probably because you struggle against it more than other looks (like me). Now one could argue that is because it is unreasonably effective in NCAA as compared to real life (otherwise more teams would run it than 3-4 out of 107 D1 teams), but I digress.

At least in here, you'll get more than ample chance to practice against it and improve against that look.

Unfortunately for you Dakota, I think you are playing 3 out of 4 user games vs guys running that package (maybe it's 2 out of 4, I don't remember who you play in conference in the SEC, I think it's LSU).

I'm putting my backup safeties in as my nickel and dime CB's and running Dime all game while showing blitz or press coverage. Same basic principal as 4-2-5 hahaha.

I think the 4-2-5 is designed to counter the spread and since I'm gonna be running out of power run formations, I should be ok. In real life, those teams would be in a lot of trouble. Unless of course, the AI is fucked up. I guess we shall see.
