The Spartans start the recruiting season off with a bang, landing one of the top 4 star athletes. Smith is touted as one of the top shutdown corners of this year's class. He's got decent speed, and sees the field really well. After a top 10 recruiting class in Coach Simmons' first year at MSU, this commit is definitely the first step in repeating that success in year 2.

After last seasons disastrous recruiting season, the Cards have signed 2 decent prospects:

McKinney will RS this next season to work on his ACC and may make an impact by his JR year.

Luke has been listed by the DW as a HB and he looks like he may have some good qualities as one but may make the switch to FS or SS, depending which is higher.

---The #1 kid on our board, the #1 major target from this class. While the position of DE wasn't necessarily a need, we couldn't pass up a talent like this one. We put on the full court press from the get-go and he was seemingly PSU bound since. This kid is really the total package here. He's gonna be one of the anchors of this defense the immediate time we start. It's gonna be a good thing that he doesn't have to hit the field immediately but he will be an impact kid after a certain redshirt.

    [IMG] [IMG]
---Kyle Smith was one of the better two way players out of this class. He excelled at WR and CB in high school and we can really see him at either position. At this time, we currently have 3 seniors graduating from the WR corps and we need some impact kids there. While Smith won't be someone who has the flair, it looks like he will be a steady force at WR. Also the next kid we have coming in helps make this decision easier for us.

---While a bit on the small side, Alexander is exactly what we were looking for, a good CB who can fit both zone and man schemes equally and not have a drop off. He's purely a run and cover type guy with not much in terms of sticking his head in on run plays, etc so we have to work with him on that. Again he's not someone that will come in right away and make an impact, he has some time to hone his craft.

---After whiffing on two guards in the previous class, we needed to get one in this class. "Cope" is a big kid who's a very good run blocking type guard. He doesn't have amazing strength but has solid agility. All in all it was a big time need.

---Blaza This is you right here bro lol.

Love his strength and balanced skill set. Great size as well. Wouldnt be afraid to play him as a Freshman and the Huskies might have to do that if they want to stick with their 4-3 scheme next year.

This guy is totally underrated coming out of Alaska. I think a redshirt and some time to get his strength up around 85 and he could be good. Either way I see this guy starting at some point way down the line or at least provide good depth throughout his career.

It has been difficult to get TE's interested in the Huskies and that makes sense. The TE spot may be under-utilized at UW, but this guy will see plenty of playing time as a True Freshman. Ryne is expected to come in and start right away as the Huskies lose 3 Seniors at the position.

This guy will redshirt and could end up the starting QB once the Cyler Miles era is over. Harrison's signing takes some pressure off recruiting the QB position, and gives the coaches a chance to take on a project or wait to recruit a future star.

Speaking of stars... This dude is a beast. Size, speed, strength, and skills. Cummings has it all, and looks like a 3-4 year starter and future NFL'er at this point. No redshirt for this monster. He will most likely start unless (RS)Freshman Sean Constantine has a tremendous off-season (75OVR) and even then, coaches wont be able to keep this guy off the field. Looks to be the best recruit in Washington's class this year.

Stanford has added 2 more recruits to their stable for 2014:

Allen has a good chance to be in the DT rotation his freshman year. He has great block shedding but could use a RS year to gain strength. Definitely a keeper.

Suggs was a total gem and with his size, strength (72) and 83 trucking, he has a chance to see alot of playing time at HB.

Davenport was a two way player in HS. Was an All-State QB in Virginia but also played an elite level at CB. Due to being set at the QB position, Davenport will likely play at CB for the Terps.

Terps will have to prepare for life without Stefon Diggs and Deon Long. Fritz is the first piece to that puzzle. Though not an elite WR, he has great hands and runs routes really well which is what Maryland likes the most out of their receivers. With a redshirt, Fritz should be ready to contribute by year 2.

Isaac Skinner was quite the find for the Terps scouting department. Building O-line depth is a major focus for the Terps and Skinner is a huge guard with great athleticism for a man his size.

Terps were looking for an H-back and stumbled upon JUCO standout Kory Richwalski. An excellent blocker out of the backfield, this player out of GA should be an immediate starter.

Terps get another good one out of the JUCO ranks. With only one MLB on the roster for next year, the Terps needed to find players that can contribute immediately and they struck gold with Alfred Cooper. This MLB can get after the QB better than most guys in the middle and is also very good in coverage. Needs to be more consistent with his tackling but should be a solid player for the Terps.

Good Lineman from home state. Couldnt pass him up. May not ver be elite, but could be a good player for UW in the future.

Washington needs corners bad. Any corners, really... We are then at the position, and what we do have are young players that are not game changers. Crowell brings a good skillset and size to the position. Coaches believe he is underrated as a :3stars: . He kacks elite top speed, but it looks like he can get there at some point.

California kid with great quickness. This is just the type of lineman the Huskies look for. Big enough to impose their will, but fast enough to move out in space and keep up with the offense.

Washington loses 3 Seniors at RB this year, leaving true Freshman RB Sam Coley as the lone back on the squad. That was until an in-state kid named Andy signed with the Huskies. Rose is fast in a straight line, if a bit undersized at 180lb. He will battle with Marques Barber for the #2 RB spot next year.

Barber is the type of RB that coaches would want to redshirt any other year, but next year the Huskies will be thin at RB and that means he is looking at PT. He is difficult to catch with the ball in his hands, but he wont run away from people.

Some speed at the SS position with this signing. Prototype frame, good tackler, elite speed. Needs to work on his man coverage technique, but coaches are confident they can help him in that area.

Stole this beast from SEC country. Could end up playing Guard with his ability to pull. Huskies are extremely pleased with the Top 150 recruit.

Huskies put word out they needed warm bodies at TE and wound up with a 6'6 270lb monster. He wont wow you, but he'll see the field.

Definite redshirt/attrition candidate. Like his size and speed. Maybe a look at RB? Probably not, though. Maybe he just helps with the CA pipeline, or winds up starting some point as a (RS)Senior? Coaches arent sure about Clarke, but he is officially a Husky now.

---Due to depth chart needs, we went ahead and grabbed a FB. Unfortunately due to the offense we will be running next year, the use of a FB will be close to non-existant. Copeland is very raw in terms of blocking and is really more of a pass protector type kid.

---With a few of our DT's close to graduating, we needed to get some DT's in here. Houston sits at 300lbs and has decent strength and block shedding ability. He will come in and redshirt and could see the field in a few years.

---We felt the need to get a QB in here as the depth dwindles down. Bellamy is a pure pocket passer with a pretty solid arm. With Hackenburg likely staying two more years, Bellamy has a few years to improve into our system before hitting the field.

    [IMG] [IMG]
---Brown is a bit on the short side in terms of a TE but he does have good speed and can catch the ball. His blocking is pretty solid. In fact, Brown may be moved to FB but that depends on TE depth going into the next season.

---Kennedy is more like a LB stuck in a safety's body. He's slight of frame so he's not built for the rigors of playing in the box per say, but that's where his strength is. He's someone who wants to punch you in the face and get after the RB. He's not exactly fast but we definitely like him closer to the QB than away from him.

---A pure project, Flowers has amazing top notch speed. But he just started playing football his junior year! Standing at 6'6" and 224lbs, the former basketball player moved to football due to his jumping and some of his amazing highlight reel catches. He's someone we will nurture and slowly bring him along but he can become a major player for us in the future.

---Another kid at the DT spot that we can redshirt and let him get better without forcing him into action, Holt is more of a power kid at DT than Houston.

---This kid could conceivably get major PT next year. Robinson is exactly the type of WR we would trout out there against the ton of pressing teams. He's not really fast but he won't get pressed because he's so good at the line. Also he's an excellent route runner. A very polished product, it will be interesting to see how he fits next year.

---James is only rated 67 but his block shedding, speed, strength and pursuit ratings make him an even higher rated kid than he is right now. We really love what he can bring and he could see some time next year but we would love to redshirt him.

---One of our major targets committed to us. We really needed big time talent at the WR spot and he's a big time talent. He's someone who can also play right away but I'd love nothing more than to have him become a stud from game 1.
