recchem2000 - so what is the plan? Are we letting these complainers recruit without limit and having no early NFL draft guys get swayed? Sticking with what we have now? Somewhere in between?

Actually - ignore my last question. Wake me when we get to season 3, cause recruiting for LSU this year is awful. I don't even have advantages for the kids in my home state somehow. This restart blows.

The next time Wyrmreaver and his ND team that is in the top 3 of seemingly every recruit complains about recruiting restrictions I swear to god I'm deleting the file.

If they can only score 10 points, and SU has a QB who can hit water out of a boat, then yes.

    So, it's 70+3???

And I dont know about not being able to sway back anyone. I really think rounds 1-3 or major awards is a good idea.

I like the no restrictions, no swaying back.

Oh and no whining :). This is actually a pretty good rule I think. Should cut down on redshirting top recruits too.o

I see. The SEC wants to SEC recruiting.

I think this is a good compromise. Should at least make it interesting to see how much your team changes in the offseason because of the rule. I'd use the "in real life" argument but then i'd have to punch myself in the face o_O

In real life, underclassmen leave early and get drafted in the 4-7th rounds all the time.

I agree, at least this will make things interesting year to year and could curb the number of 90+ overall players on each team in a season or two.

Yeah that was my point but I didn't want to use the IRL thing as I've given guys shit for it before :). I know my team would look alot different if this rule was in place this past offseason

IRL, teams have 85 scholarships players. IRL teams can recruit more than they have room for.

Ok, so the final ruling is no restrictions (not that it makes all that much difference to me since I have 19 seniors this year)?

    FSU Gets 5 Early Commits

We still trail Florida, who has 6 commits, but at the moment we have the #2 recruiting class.

:5stars: TE Daniel Jones 78 (-3) 6'3" 235, Davie, Florida. We signed a top TE last year and got the #1 this year. 74 run block, 75 impact block. Not much speed but he does look pretty good with the ball in his hands. And he has good hands. Jones was also considering Miami and Auburn

:4stars: WR Dallas Jones 78 (+3) 6'2" 186, Lapier, MI. He's very fast and has good route running skills, but he won't see the field until he improves on his catching ability. He was between Notre Dame and us and went with FSU after his visit.

:4stars: G Adam Henderson 76 (+3) 6'2" 291, Sweetwater, FL. He adds depth at the line, 79 pass block, 83 run block. The O-Line is senior heavy now and there's 5 current freshman (3 currently redshirting, 2 RS frosh this year) who could and should be starters next year, and the following 2-3 years after that. Henderson may ride the bench a few years. He chose us over Miami

:4stars: CB Ben Olson 79 (+3) 5'10" 192, Clearwater, FL. The #1 corner in the class and we are very excited about him. He got 96 speed, 96 acceleration, and most importantly, 90 zone coverage. He needs to work on his tackling, but he may see the field as a true freshman.

:4stars: OLB Jeff Reed 76 (-2) 6'0" 213, Gastonia, NC. He's nothing special, not too fast, and an average tackler, but his 79 zone coverage rating makes us think he could start at the LLB position for us in year 3 or 4. The #5 OLB, nobody really tried to recruit him but us.

Having road games weeks 4-6 and a bye week 7 is slowing my roll recruiting wise, but with a mass visit scheduled for the week 8 "rivalry" game vs might Tulane, I'm hoping to make a dent in my 12 open scholarship spots by week 9......oh wait, I forgot we have no limits/rules in here anymore. Back to add guys to the recruiting board.
