The #1 HB Robinson is really strange. 6'4" 224lbs...kind of tall for a HB. He is slow by HB standards (believe he runs a 4.52 40) but has good attributes across the board. Far different from last year's #1 HB that Florida scooped up.

Slow HB's can work if they've got high acceleration, especially if they are big and can move the pile, so that guy might be pretty good.

The top 10-15 guys in this years class are really nice, but the depth in the 4 star group is pretty lacking. I didn't get all the way down into the 3 stars much last night, so I'm hoping there will be some gems down that way.

I think you made a mistake dru, I don't see AUB on any of those players' lists.

You ain't the only one who's surprised. I figured Notre Dame would get more love in the top 3 on recruit boards (they seem to when I don't control em), but I barely have a sniff.

You can probably swipe some guys from Bama, they are all over the top 25 guys along with LSU and UF.

Yep, I was in the top 3 for 10 of the recruits in the top 25 last year. This year...0. Tons of love for the SEC though (n)

Yeah, Beazus stepped into a recruiting powerhouse at LSU. He's in the top 3 for as many or more recruits as the Gators.

Notre Dame gets an instant commit from the #3 player in the class, OLB Brian Mitchell. Now if I can only get a couple of his 5 star buddies to join him in South Bend....

You better hope you get all the instant commits you can because once Big East conference play starts, nobodies going to want to sign with you after they see what happens on Saturdays!

Come on, you know that players will keep wanting to go to Notre Dame even if I go 6-6. ;)

There is a lot of talk coming these days out of Cincy coach, it will be interesting to see if your players can back any of it up on the field. But I do like your confidence.

Nebraska might have insta-signed a certain recruit that was pretty high on our board....

    :monkeybutt:

I'll announce the player after we advance. Not sure if they'll start next year, but they will likely see some time on the field.

Well if that's the case....I signed the #137 FB. He's a :1stars: prospect and comes in at 5'10" 197lbs. That's a little small for his position, but we're really looking forward to getting him into camp.

    :elephant:

We actually signed the #2 HB. It's a huge boost since we lose Roy Helu Jr next year. I can't remember the kid's name off the top of my head, but he looks pretty good.

I have been known to be dangerous with running backs with "Ridge" in their last name. At this point, you would almost think I'm recruiting them on purpose.

That is crazy. Is this the first one that has the "Ridge" at the start of their name?

    That is classic!

For those who are wondering what the hell we are talking about, Hippo had two HB's in CTL with Minnesota that had 'Ridge' as part of their last name. They became known as the Ridge-runners.

Vols get an insta commit from the big TE. Might get some playing time next year with one of TE's graduating.

I've added information in the first post to clarify exactly how many scholarships each team may have outstanding at any time this season and how many 4 and 5 star recruits each team may pursue/sign. I am happy to report that no one is in violation of the rules after one week.

Here's to Nebraska hopefully landing the #1 QB next week after he visits Auburn week 3 to watch Dakota take me out. Maybe he will think "If I commit to Nebraska, maybe I can help put them over the top next year and help them beat Auburn."

Yeah...that's definitely what he has to be thinking. It's the only logical thought he could have after that visit.
