    Season 2 Recruiting Discussion

Didnt see a thread yet, and I wanted to talk about my (2) top150 insta-commits from week 1.

    OLB(#1) :4stars:
    6'2 243lb Miami Beach, FL
    Bobby Stewart
    4.54 40yd
    450 bench
    655 squat

This guy would be an amazing frosh if his AGI wasnt a D. Florida is banking on him learning how to turn his hips. Will be a menace coming off the edge though.

    G(#9) :4stars:
    6'4 321lb Bonita Springs, FL
    Tony White
    485 bench
    715 squat
    B+ Run/Pass Block

UF needs some young lineman to start coming up behind the older guys slated to graduate soon. The Gators are going hard after some of the top O-Line prospects in the country, but the signing of Tony White takes some of the pressure off those battles.

    T(#2) :5stars:
    6'7 293lb New Hope, NC
    Jonathan Carter
    A+ ACC
    B+ STR

This guy has the numbers to start day 1. Florida might have 2 Seniors at the position next year though, so his PT may be limited at first. Look for this guy to be an anchor on the UF line in the next few seaons.

    DE(#15) :4stars:
    6'8 231lb Edgewater, FL
    Brandon Richard
    A- ACC
    B- pursuit, hit pwr

Thats right, 6'8! This guy is part of UF's incoming D-Line. Coach Max wants to bring in an entire front 4 all at once, and hopefully RS them all.

    DE(#5) :4stars:
    6'6 260lb Apopka, FL
    Brandon Holt
    A- Finesse
    B+ Tackle

Not as quick and flashy as Richard, but this guy is HUGE too, and a more solid tackler. Holt and Richard are going to be two huge bookends on the D-line for Florida in the future.

    DT(#14) :4stars:
    6'1 287lb Englewood, FL
    Joe Barclay
    B+ Tackle/Power Move

This guy was recruited for a need position. UF has their eyes on a bigger name prospect at DT, but it that falls through the Gator Coaching staff has full faith that Barclay could become a starter.

Thats at least 3/4 of the Gators incoming D-line. Remember all these kids names! Especially the two huge DEs... They will be wreaking havoc in the SEC at some point.

My recruiting is pretty sad at this point.

Kyle Webber :3stars: CB Pontotoc, MS 6'0 180
    B+ SPD/AGI/JMP B ACC

    Offers: Southern Miss
Sadly might be pressed into duty as a true freshman. I'd like to redshirt him but lack of depth might leave me with no other choice.

    William Fletcher :3stars: T Sheffield, AL 6'1 280
    C+ STR/PBK/PBF B- PBS

He's probably too small to play Tackle but he's an excellent pass blocker so his position will be pretty fluid. My line is pretty thin as a group but odds are he'll be redshirted.

Missing the first season plus the first week or two of this season has hurt my depth and recruiting.

He probably decided he didn't want a Canadian on his team. Can you blame him?

Hey I got me a RB too. He's going to be alright...

    HB(#5) :5stars:
    6'3 234lb Clinton, MS
    Tony Bell

    A: Acceleration
    A-: Trucking, Stiff Arm
    B+: Strength
    B: BC Vision Sta/Inj
    B-: Speed, Break Tackle

Really pumped about Bell. Totally different than all backs on the UF Depth Chart right now. We beat out Virginia Tech for this RB, who looked like they stopped recruiting him a few weeks back. This guy could see the field year 1 in certain situations.

I haven't chimed in with info about the Georgia recruits so here you go...

    Ryan Goodman
    MLB (#2) :5stars:
    5'11" 225 LBs
    Anniston, AL

    C+ TKL, C+ PLR, B- BSH, B PUR, C ZCV, C MCV, B HPW, B STR

Beat out Bama for this great athlete at the MLB position. May be in line to start at one of the MLB position in the 3-4 as a Freshman

    Jeff Wise
    G (#1) :5stars:
    6'4" 311 LBs
    Country Club Est, GA

    C SPD, B+ ACC, B- AWR, B- PBL, B RBL, B+ STR, B FOOTWORK

This kid is a STUD. He's the #1 Guard for a reason. Phenomenal athlete for a lineman, this kid will be a pulling machine and be a great asset for the Bulldog run game. Could be a starter as a true Freshman.

    Eric Coleman
    CB (#2) :4stars:
    5'11" 167 LBs
    Waycross, GA

    A SPD, A ACC, B+ MCV, B+ ZCV, B+ PRS, B PLR, B+ JMP

One could argue Coleman is the best corner prospect in the country. Already has above average cover skills. Depending on whether or not Branden Smith goes pro he could be one of the starting WRs. At the very least he will probably be the nickel corner.

    David Harris
    WR (#11) :4stars:
    6'1" 181 LBs
    Winter Springs, FL

    B+ SPD, B- ACC, C CTH, C RTE, C+ CIT, A- JMP, B- BTK

This guy is a tough physical WR who will can work as both a possession WR while occasionally being a deep threat with his excellent leaping skills and body control.

    Brent Hayes
    TE (#3) :4stars:
    6'3" 235 LBs
    Clemente, CA

Hayes will be Orson Charles' heir apparent in the dynamic Bulldog passing offense. He has very good hands and is a capable blocker.

    Gabe Bailey
    G (#5) :4stars:
    6'1" 287 LBs
    Redan, GA

    C+ SPD, A+ ACC, C+ PBL, C+ RBL, B- STR

He will be paired with Jeff Wise as the Guards of the future for the Bulldogs. We thoughtt Wise was the best athlete we've seen at the position, then tape of Bailey showed up and we were impressed. This guy has TE speed and burst in a guards body. He will be a great addition to the Bulldog O-line.

    Jonathan Silva
    ATH (#4) :5stars:
    6'0" 193 LBs
    Swainsboro, GA

    B+ SPD, B+ ACC, B AGI, C STR, B HTP, B- ZCV, B+ TKL, B- PUR

This kid was a starter on both offense and defense in HS but translates more to a safety at the college level. Is a top of the line tackler for his age.

    Chris Cooper
    HB (#30) :4stars:
    5'8" 200 LBs
    Halifax, CN

    A- SPD, B- ACC, B AGI, C BTK, C- TRK, C+ STR, B- JUKE

This kid reminds us of Maurice Jones-Drew, strong legs, compact, with very good speed. He enters a deep group at RB but could see the field in a couple seasons.

    Anthony Mills
    DE (#11) :4stars:
    6'4" 223 LBs
    Merritt Island, FL

    B- SPD, B- ACC, B STR, C TKL, B PMV, B- FMV, B BSH, B+ PUR

This guy already has a great skillset at the DE position. He's going to be hard to keep off the field in his first year, but we already have some stud waiting in line for next season. However, the Bulldogs may he switching to a Multi D to get it's best players on the field so Mills could see time in the 3-4 formation.

this is gonna be tough sledding for the deamon deacons. a 3* CB was signed before i took over and there are 13 *must* fill spots. no one over 3* is in the running to sign here. i'm afraid i won't be able to sign anybody and be filled with walk-ons... :(

The Florida State recruiting situation has improved slightly as we have signed the #2 and 3 gusy in the nation. With only three commitments, recruiting is going slow as it did last year, but our main point of emphasis is just to recruit for depth.

    ATH (#2) :5stars:
    6'1" 211lbs - Georgia
    Jarvis Morgan

It depends where we need him most, but as of right now it looks like LB or safety will be a good fit for him.

    HB (#1) :5stars:
    6'3" 208lbs - Illinois
    Malcom Adams

    Column 1 Column 2
    Spd B+
    Acc B
    Agi B+
    Awr/Car B-
    Btk/Trk B-
    Jkm/Spm B-

Malcoms has good all around skills to go along with his size. He could be competing for serious playing time next year depending on Chris Thompsons draft status and the fact that he is more of a power runner compared to Thompson.

    CB (#52) :3stars:
    6'2" 166lbs - Florida
    Nathan Harris

Good speed (B+) and size for a cornerback, coverage skills could improve, but is labeled as hard hitter which we like to see in our secondary.

3 signings? of guys who probably arent as good as they look? and hardly having anyone else remotely close to committing. Nah, it sucks.

I'll take your word for it haha, but I'm tellin ya FSU is in a pretty shitty spot right now.

I didn't get to persuade any of my guys back last year, and missed the off season recruiting. I've got for LB's on my roster.

This is a post about the ones who got away.

2 Four Star RB's. One chose UGA, and one chose Illinois. The Illinois kid hard committed to them after giving me a verbal. I was shocked. And sad... :(
