Discuss amongst yourselves....
Georgia has 70 players and 16 exiting seniors, so....16 available schollies this year.
Alabama 19 scholarships-The Tide have seven needs and they are all on defense. If anyone is targeting a defensive player and Bama is on the player's board be prepared for a battle.
The Aggies have only 2 needs and 13 available scholarships. We are going to be picky and really go after some top tier guys. Unfortunately I have to break a promise to the #1 OLB in last years class because OLB is a position of need and I promised we wouldn't recruit anybody from that position. At the time it was ok but had to move an OLB to MLB to make the cut of a renegade walk-on there.
Please let your #1 OLB know that he can transfer to Miami when the season's over.
70 man roster
1 extra punter that I never targeted.... I assume I can cut him next offseason?
23 seniors = 23 scholarships
NO! If he starts and transfers I will be in disbelief.
FSU has 15 scholarships available.
FSU signs 2 on defense
Dan Henderson - #8 MLB - 72 ovr (+1, 29%)- Henderson will add depth to the LB corps but we haven't scouted this kid enough to really know if he's a OK defender of a gem.
Dennis Wheeler- #2 FS - 78 ovr (+1, 35%)- Got this kid out of Louisiana. He has great acceleration and pretty good hit power as FSU is always looking to add athleticism to their defensive backfield. Scouting later in the year will reveal how good he really is.
I was going after Hendo
Week one of recruiting went just as bad as preseason scouting.
Could be a weak class this year for UofF.
Positions of need were not in good position to rise to the top.
Can you scout after they've signed?
20 scholarships for Tennessee.... Like SatansAngel1104 , this could be a tough year recruiting for Tennessee.
Yes on console. You can't online for some reason
Not that much interest in TAMU this season. The down year really affected things. Luckily we are an extremely young team and only have to fill 13 spots.
Georgia received an instant commit from #2 DE Rasheed Gordon. Rasheed (out of Margate, FL) is 6'1" and 257 lbs and looks to be a pure pass rushing 4-3 end. He isn't fully scouted and is looking like he may come in a bit worse than advertised at 77 OVR, but he has a nice physical skill set. He is a big, strong athlete, with 84 speed and acceleration and 81 strength. We likely won't fully scout him until the end of the year or the offseason, but you can't argue with a insta-commit.
Arkansas ( 16 scholarships ):
Justin King MLB 73 overall 64% scouted ( here hoping the 36 percent is good )
Can someone explain this to me, I have 5 3 Star punters on my board. All have not been scouted, their initial ratings range from 81 to 76. I have 7 MLBs on my board, excluding the 5 star MLB, the remaining 6 are between 7-66. I am hoping some of those 60s rating bump up to 70s rating, but come on. How can five punters being rated better than 5 MLBs?
Play your Punter at MLB and quit crying!
Georgia picks up a commitment from #7 C Marques MacDonald out of Chattahoochie, FL. C was a huge need this offseason, and Marquese looks like he may be able to step in right away if needed. We have only scouted him at 50% but he is already coming in better than anticipated at a 78 OVR (+6).
I have thought all day about this. Here is my response I don't care if my punter can run like the wind, can jump as high as Michael Jordan, all I care about whether he can boot it far, and kick it somewhat accurately. If he can throw the ball somewhat accurately would be bonus so I can run some fake punts on your ass.
WR Sean Callahan signed with arkansas. 76 overall and 46% scouted. Suffers from stone hands with 61 catching. if his A speed and Acceleration drop, he may be a :5star: clipboard holder.
