    Utah State Vs Alabama:

Utah State rolled into Bryant-Denny Stadium looking for an upset. If you were there for the first half of the game it looked like they were going to pull it off. As the Crimson Tide gave up big play after big play. They gave up a 68yd TD pass to the Aggies of Utah State, an 80yd TD run, that guided them to 20 first half points before the Crimson Tide starting to turn things around. Coach Ptown went to his bruising ground game to get them going and used short passes to get the unknown Tide WR core going allowing them to put up 21 points. They went into half with a 1 point advantage.

The Coach wasn't particularly pleased with the play of his defense giving up 100yds on the ground and close to 200yds in the air. Going into the second half they started to apply pressure the Aggies QB sacking him 6 times, rushing him into makes and forcing turnovers. The schemes of the defense shutdown there offense not allowing them to get on track. Phillip Sims went 15-22 for 278 with 21yds on the ground. Eddie Lacy rushed the ball 29 times for 128 yds and a pair of touch downs. Lacy looks like he will be the work horse for the Tide this season. After the game Coach Ptown reiterated that for them to reach there goal, they can't look past any opponent and the defense must play better, force turnovers, apply pressure on the QB, and stop the running game.

Next up for Alabama will be Purdue.

After losing Eddie Lacy to a back strain. Freshmen running back Michael Carpenter shredded Western Kentucky for 173yds and 2TDs. Tuscaloosa is talking about the Freshmen. He might see more time rushing after his last game performance.
