    We are in week 1.

All CPU games, let's try and advance Tuesday night.

I got everyone (except Twist) 5 user games, and tried to schedule everyone against at least one BCS contender.

    Good luck everyone.

New year, same story for the Bruins, picking up a 34-7 win vs BYU.

The running game is solid (over 320 yards rushing), but the passing game needs work (124 yards passing and 2 INT's).

The defense played well at times, and was solid in the red zone, which was a staple of last years team.

I'm looking forward to playing my first game later. This team is going to be very good.

I don't know who to start at QB though. Jefferson is slightly better and more mobile. The mobility sure does come in handy in the SEC with all the defensive speed around, but I was lighting it up with Lee last year and he came from behind to win @ Auburn and v. Bama...and carved Tennessee up in the SEC title game even though we lost.

    ??

I'm thinking I'm going to go with Lee but it's a tough call.

I am also looking forward to playing my first game. A couple tough breaks last year stopped us from reaching greater heights. My offense should be pretty good with McCalebb, Dyer and Newton. I'm not sure I can say the same on my defense but we shall see.

Alabama starts the season #1 and the defense alone stood up to that. They were led by Demarcus Milliner who on his own got 3 INT and scored a TD on two of them. Senior linebacker Donta Hightower had a good day with 6 solo tackles and a sack. Dre Kirkpatrick forced a fumble but it was recovered by Utah.

The offense was somewhat stale all day. Sophomore quarterback AJ McCarron was efficient and mistake-free but didn't light up the score board like Bama Nation had hoped out of the new starter. Trent Richardson was struggling with the new offensive line and wouldn't have went over 100 yards had he not finally broke a run for 74 yards early in the 3rd quarter.

All in all this was only a dominating game on the defensive side for Bama. Next week the Tide hopes to find answers on offense when they travel to Oregon to face the Ducks led by Coach Max who owns a slight lead in this rivalry over Coach Papa.

    #4 Oregon 41
    Oklahoma 9

Oregon goes to Norman and smashes the unranked Sooners. It was a good performance all-around for the Ducks, and their new spread offense seemed to clicking. Next week Oregon hosts #1 Bama in Eugene. The Zoo should be rocking for this one!

Just take it easy on these 'ole Cats B, we're in a learning process down here and aren't even sure what offense we're gonna run yet.

    Auburn 37
    USF 0

USF turned it over on their first 5 drives of the game but Auburn only managed 20 points off the turnovers. The defense scored on an option fumble recovery and interception TD. The offense played terrible in the game, settling for 3 redzone field goals and they turned it over 3 times. McCalebb was the only decent player on the offense, rushing for just under 100 yards and a TD. WR Blake made sure he never plays again this season, losing 2 fumbles on like 3 touches.

    #17 Washington: 41

The Nick Montana era has begun. He came out and threw the ball for 317 yards, locking in with his favorite target Jermaine Kearse for 143 yards. HB Chris Polk added 97 yards and 3 tds on the ground.

The defense stepped up with 6 sacks, 1 interception, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery.

    Next up is Auburn.

    Take that Sun Belt!

Tennessee pulls a Wisconsin and beats MTSU 66-0. MTSU drove the length of the field on the first drive only to get intercepted in the endzone. After that, the Blue Raiders never reached the right side of the 50.

Player of the Game: HB Tauren Poole (12 Carries - 179 Yards - 2 TDs)

Glad you guys had such an easy time.

    #2 LSU 24 - N. Carolina 13

I got lucky to win. Our offense was absolutely terrible in the first half. Jordan Jefferson got the start and was totally un impressive. At the half he was like 6-12 150 2 td 1 int and just didn't look very good. So at the half I made the switch to Jarrett Lee.

Jarrett fucking Lee came in and went 1-4 for 6 yards and should have thrown at least 1 pick that a Tar Heel defender dropped. So we went back to Jefferson who did nothing in the second half but throw another pick. We came up with 2 fumble recoveries on the game deep in UNC territory and couldn't capitalize on them at all. It just wasn't a very good game at all on offense.

It was 17-13 my lead late in the 4th quarter and we finally put a nice drive together to score and secure the win. It was highlighted with this catch by Russell Sheppard.

Ok, well we survive the week 1 scare and move to 1-0. WE have a bye next week then travel to Happy Valley in week 3.

Bond, can you play tomorrow night? I have the game against Knight in C2C today and I'm also playing a user game in Legacy. I'd rather not make it 3 in one night.
