Detroit handles business on the road against the Warriors in this one. The first half was close with 16 lead changes and each time fighting and scrapping for everything and the score would be 44-40 Detroit. In the 2nd half though Detroit took control and maintained a large lead all the way down the stretch behind good defense, taking solid shots and forcing poor shots from the Warriors. 40 bench points from The Pistons compared to 24 for the Warriors played a huge part as well.

    Knight 25 points 16 assists 4 steals 3 reboudns

This one would have been very different if the wizards were making 3's like they usually do, but they were a bit cold shooting 6-20, while the Grizz had their best shooting day on the year hitting on nearly 50% from the field and 60% from 3. Memphis was led by Rudy Gay (35 points, 7 boards and 3 steals) and Zach Randolph (29 points and 10 boards). Good game ryalaman.

This wasn't really fair to BDSDIGITAL who was going without Nash due to a trade and just didn't have the offense to stay in it. The Suns hung tough till the late 3rd when the game got away. Memphis was led by Z-Bo who had 21 and 12 on the night shooting 9-12. Good game B.

Washington recovers from Z-Bo and Rudy having their way with them with a nice win over a solid Western conference team. Washington actually tried to blow a 15 point second half lead in this one, but in the 4th quarter Nick Young just took over the basketball game. He scored on 7 straight Washington possessions while showing off all of his skills... he hit some spot up 3s, some midrange jumpers, and he got to the hole for a layup or 2. Dirk did what he could to keep his team in the game (and he finished with 34) and Dallas was hot from 3 on the day (going 12-26), but Washington managed to just barely fight them off to escape. GG SuperBowlNachos

    Washington stats:
Nick Young- 37 points, 2 assists
John Wall- 22 points, 12 assists
    JaVale McGee- 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks

    T-Wolves - 118
    Mavs - 87

In a rematch of the 2012 1st round playoffs, the Wolves jumped out early, as is a theme so far this year, and dominated the rest of the way. Minnesota took a 10 point lead out of the 1st behind a huge quarter by Shannon Brown who had his most productive game of the young season, scoring 22 points on 9-12 shooting in all. Rubio, who was hurt in the previous game against JFace907 's Jazz, came out limping, and added a 18 points and 16 rebounds, while only turning it over once. Barea also played well, scoring 16, including 3 three pointers.

Dirk led the Mavs with a game high 25 points, on 10-14 shooting, but he didn't have much help besides his two centers, Spencer Hawes and Ian Mahimi who scored 20 and 13 respectively. The big problem was their 3-18 shooting from three ball, and their inability to keep Minnesota out of the paint. GG SuperBowlNachos

    Minnesota is now 6-2.

I don't what it is with this game and scrubs like Shannon Brown just bombing 3s on me while my 89 and 88 3pt shooters can't knock them down wide open against you.

What a game this was probably the best 2k game I have ever played. Bobcats jumped out to an early 31-21 lead but Houston's offense exploded in the 2nd quarter outscoring Charlotte 37-21 and taking a 58-52 lead into the half. Charlotte chipped away at the lead in the third pulling within 3 heading into the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter was amazing as both teams combined to score 72 points but the real excitement happened with under 10 seconds to play as the Bobcats were down 4 Wesley Mathews drained a 3 with 8 seconds left to cut it to one. Charlotte immediately fouled to send Houston to the line with 6.7 seconds left, Kyle Lowry made the first to put Houston up 2 but with Charlotte having no timeouts left Kyle Lowry missed the 2nd shot and Dorell Wright snatched down the ball and kicked it out to Wesley Mathews around mid court 5 seconds he tried to find Kemba but instead found Lowry 3 seconds who then tried to pass it away before the foul and run out the clock 2 seconds Mathews stole the ball and was able to put up a shot with less than a second left buzzer goes off and SWISH!! Game winner Wesley Mathews. Great Game Papa Perry.

Nick Young continues his run of form and John Wall shows why he was the NBA's leading assist man last year in this one. The Spurs were paced by the 21 of Duncan, but he didn't get enough touches to really hurt the Wizards as he only shot the ball 7 times (although he made all 7). With the win, the Wizards have completely erased the memory of their 0-2 start, with a scorching 6-1 in the 7 games since then (with the only loss coming against Dru50 and the Grizzlies). And yes, I'm playing way too many games too fast, but damnit if I'm not excited for the new season.

    Washington stats:
Nick Young- 38 points, 2 rebounds
John Wall- 20 points, 21 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals
Andray Blatche- 14 points, 9 rebounds
JaVale McGee- 11 points, 6 rebounds

A new look Indiana team opened up the 2013 season with an road victory against Milwaukee. The Bucks actually held a 38-37 advantage at halftime but the Pacers outscored the home team 52-35. Paul George set a new career high in points with 33 to lead the team in scoring. George also played excellent defense on Stephen Jackson forcing him into a 8-23 shooting performance.

    Pacers 113
    Piston 107

Indiana started the game off on a 21-4 run and managed to hold on to a slim 6 point victory over the tough Detroit Pistons. After the Pacers took a 39-18 lead heading into the 2nd, Detroit outscored Indiana 63-46 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Detroit had pulled within 3 in the final minute of the game but Ersan Ilyasova hit a huge jumper to give Indiana a 5 point lead with 25 seconds remaining to seal the win. All 5 starters scored in double led by Paul George's 27 points and 11 rebounds and Landry Fields was right behind him with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Brandon Knight was near unstoppable in a losing cause scoring 33 points 11 assists and 6 rebounds. GG Bucs

    Pacers 87
    Kings 75

This game was nowhere near as close as the score suggests as the Pacers absolutely dominated the Kings. Once again Paul George lead the Pacers with 21 points but the key to victory was the effort on the boards by Indiana's front line. Joakim Noah had a season high 19 rebounds and Ersan Ilyasova had a double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

    Pacers 87
    Celtics 76

Indiana's defense was stifling in the first half holding Boston to just 25 points and took a 45-25 heading into the locker rooms. Paul George and Landry Fields were great once again scoring 26 and 20 respectively with both adding 5 rebounds as well. Paul Pierce scored 22 but no other Celtic had more then 12 as SG Eric Gordon was saddled with foul trouble all game long, eventually fouling out midway through the 4th.

    Pacers 85
    Lakers 75

The first half was tale of 2 quarters as Indiana jumped out to a 26-15 lead early but the Lakers answered back in the 2nd outscoring the opposition 24-15. The game was every much in doubt until the final moments when Indiana pulled away thanks to strong play from their wings Paul George and Landry Fields. While George was the high scorer with 30 the real player of the game was Landry Fields who seemed to make the big shots when the team needed it scoring 23 points on 10-14 shooting. George had the unenviable task of guarding Kobe Bryant and did a pretty good job as he scored 21 points on 7-19 shooting.

One of the worst rated rosters in the league came into our house and kicked the Grizz in the nuts. Memphis had an 8 point lead with 3 minutes to play and then couldn't hit anything. GM Dru was heard in the locker room venting to Rudy Gay and Zach Randolph "If you guys are being paid like stars how about acting like stars when the game is on the line!"

    Clippers - 84
    Heat - 76

This was a really close game and the Heat led for most of it but a huge 27 point 4th quarter gave the Clippers the late lead. They also played lock down defense in crunch time only allowing 14 points during the 4th. DeAndre Jordan had 3 huge blocks during the game.

    Blake Griffin - 21 pts, 14 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk
    DeAndre Jordan - 6 pts, 6 reb, 3 blk
    LeBron James - 27 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk
    D Wade - 17 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast, 2 blk
    Chris Bosh - 10 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast

    Clippers - 92
    Bucks - 85

This may have looked like an easy win on paper but Bogut was nailing the jumper from the low key and Stephen Jackson was almost unstoppable on the jumper and beyond the arc, the rest of the team went 2-12 from 3 which was the difference in the game. The Clippers were cleaning up on the offensive rebounds and CP3 and Butler combined for 7-10 from 3 point range. Travis Leslie also came up big in crunch time forcing fouls on his way to the rim and got some key FTs. LA had the lead most of the game but played their bench too much and allowed the Bucks to come back late. CP3 ended up straining his back in this game after a 3pt shot but he only ended up missing the rest of the game and simmed disconnect loss against his former team the Hornets.

    CP3 - 24 pts, 2 reb, 3 stl
    Blake Griffin - 20 pts, 11 reb
    Travis Leslie - 13 pts, 2 reb, 1 stl
    Stephen Jackson - 25 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl
    Bogut - 15pts, 8 reb, 1 blk

    Clippers - 101
    Pistons - 97

This was a really close game. Both teams came out shooting strong and combined for 13-14 to start the game. The Pistons had a 1 pt lead after the 1st quarter thanks to some stellar shooting from midrange by Brandon Knight. The Clippers kept answering right back and hitting the 3 at the right time to keep things close but were down 47-54 at the half thanks to the defense leaving a man wide open from 3 right at the last second. Things got cold for the Pistons in the 3rd and LA was able to battle back thanks to some good inside play by Griffin and some nice 3's from Caron Butler ending the 3rd 74-72 LA. Things got real heated in the 4th as Knight was dominating in the lane and the Clippers kept missing easy wide open jumpers as they tried to hold onto the slim lead. A missed shot late forced the intentional foul but Griffin and Paul went 7-8 from the FT line and close out the game. There were a couple crazy plays in this game including a 3 pointer from Paul that bounced off the top of the backboard and dropped in and some ridiculous back and forth turnovers. Bucs GG dude.

    CP3 - 24 pts, 2 reb, 4 stl
    Blake Griffin - 18 pts, 11 reb, 2 blk
    Caron Butler - 16 pts, 9 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk
    DeAndre Jordan - 13 pts, 5 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
    Brandon Knight - 35 pts, 2 reb, 9 ast, 3 stl
    Greg Monroe - 18 pts, 15 reb, 2 blk

    Clippers - 100
    Kings - 93

The second meeting between these two teams was never really close. The Clippers got out to a 32-21 1st quarter lead and never looked back. A lot of the bench players picked up some valuable learning minutes during the game. LA destroyed from the 3pt line during the game as every one of the perimeter shooters got in on the action and the team finished 52% from behind the arc.

    CP3 - 23 pts (5-7 from 3), 6 reb, 5 stl
    Alonzo Gee - 17 pts, 4 reb, 1 blk
    Jerrod Bayless - 16 pts (4-5 from 3), 1 reb
    Blake Griffin - 14 pts, 10 reb
    Tyreke Evans - 25 pts, 5 reb, 7 ast, 1 stl
    Marcus Thorton - 15 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl

    Clippers - 103
    Pacers - 100

My, what a close game this was. The Clippers were seriously outmatched at guard and weren't prepared for the physical nature of the Pacers. George and Fields could seemingly drive the lane at will and kept picking up blocking fouls and And 1 plays despite Coach Matrix's offseason emphasis on taking the charge. On the other side of the ball LA found it damn near impossible to get in the paint, let alone score from that position so they had to start shooting from outside if they were going to have any chance at winning. They attempted to use the mid range jumper at first but they kept missing wide open shots so they then resorted to playing in their 3pt shooting rotation. For once the 3 paid off for the Clippers as they went a combined 14-38 which was juuuust good enough. The score went back and forth a bit all game but the Clippers kept holding on to a very slim lead.

Late in the 4th quarter the Pacers started to make a push buoyed by the crazy amount of fouls they were picking up off of block calls. By the end of the game the Clippers had 20 team fouls and CP3 fouled out with only a few minutes to go. Alonze Gee also had 5 fouls and came perilously close to getting kicked out as well. The Pacers positioned themselves well to at least tie the game at the end and Coach Matrix thought for sure George was going to power into the lane and try to get the 3 point play so he moved all his players out of the paint and hoped for the best as the clock wound down. But for some reason George took a hop step back and tried for the 3 pointer. It was off just a bit to the right and clanked off the rim and the Clippers got the narrow victory in an incredibly hard fought game. sonn Great one dude. Look forward to a rematch.

    Blake Griffin - 18 pts (6-6 FT), 10 reb
    CP3 - 17 pts, 5 reb
    DeAndre Jordan - 7 pts, 16 reb, 3 blk
    Paul George - 32 points (16-21 FT), 2 reb, 1 stl
    Landry Fields - 25 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
    Mo Williams - 17 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl
    Noah - 4pts, 15 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl

    76'ers: 92
    Raptors: 86

This was one of the biggest wins for the Sixers in quite some time. It wasn't pretty early, as at one point we were down 14 points in the 1st quarter. But the team kept it;s composure and led by the bench which has played solid all season long, we were able to fight our way back into the game. Lou Williams was deadly in this one as he shot 10-13 from the field, and added 5 free throws. On the day he led the team with 26 points. AI had a great line and did it all in this one with 15 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, 6 steals. The Raptors although down a sizeable amount late, kept fighting and nearly pulled out the comeback. But they relied too heavily on Bargnani who was ice cold from beyond the arc going 1-6. GG JrRawlins

    Jazz: 98
    76'ers: 101

This game ended much closer than it should have been. Philadelphia was in charge for the first 3 quarters leading by 11 entering the final frame. But the Jazz made it very interesting at the end, playing solid defense, hitting some 3's and forcing Philly to make free throws. Evan Turner had a big game with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Holiday and AI both had 20+. For the Jazz, JAson Terry had 15 points off the bench, and Al Jefferson added 16 and 7 rebounds. Channing Frye was a disappointment in this one, as he forced way too many 3;s, hitting only 2 of 8. GG JFace907

Everyone contributed in this one and John Wall had a great day passing the ball, finishing with 20 assists. Joe Johnson and Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 29 and 19 respectively, but the Hawks never seriously challenged in this one as the Wiz took a big lead early and simply didn't look back.

    Washington stats:
JaVale McGee- 24 points, 9 rebounds
    Nick Young- 24 points
John Wall- 23 points, 20 assists, 4 steals

The Cavs were pesky in this one, but in the end, the talent of the Thunder was too much. Kevin Durant scored 31 as the Thunder won this one

    OKC - 99
    IND - 98

Back and forth the whole way, this game resembled a playoff game. The Pacers were able to jump out to a 13 point lead in the 3rd and things were looking grim for the Thunder. However, James Harden decided to go off, scoring 19 points in the late 3rd/early 4th to pull the game back to even. This game featured about 26 lead changes and it came down to the final two possessions. With 5.1 seconds remaining, The Durantula drilled an 18 footer to put OKC up one. With the way Paul George had been playing, this was more than enough time for one last good shot attempt for the Pacers. As expected, George got the ball at the top of the key and was able to dribble into the lane and pull up for a 9 footer for the win. However the shot was short and the clock had expired with the Thunder winning this one in thrilling fashion. GG sonn

George finished with 40 and Durant and Harden finished with 29 and 28 respectively

    LAL - 111
    OKC - 92

Got anhilated here...Kobe was full on Black Mamba as the Thunder were ice cold and could not keep this one close in the 2nd half

    OKC - 100
    LAC - 90

The Thunder jumped out to a 14 point lead at the half, but the hot 3 point shooting of the Clippers pulled them within 3 points at one point in the 3rd. Chris Paul hit 8 threes on 26 attempts but went cold when it counted. Durant finished up with 25 and 7, while 6 Thunder players finished in double-figures scoring. gg Matrix Monkey

A quote from Wizards GM ryalaman pretty much sums up this game. "I'm gonna be honest here... I think you've set the game of basketball back about 100 years". After Derrick Rose went down with a twisted ankle on the first play of the game Mike Bibby was forced to come in and play all 40 minutes with no 3rd point guard dressed for the game tonight, and Bibby responded with 18 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists. Hibbert and Hamilton helped keep us in front with 19 and 17 of their own. Monta Ellis really struggled with only 13 points on 5/18 shooting and was 1/10 from behind the arc.

    Rockets - 112

This game had an olympic speed pace, and would make ryalaman 's Wizards intersquad scrimmages look like middle school track meets. Lots of threes were shot, a total of 65 combined, but only 23 of those hit the bottom of the net. The Timberwolves went on a 17-0 run in the 1st quarter which put them up by double digits early, and the Rockets fought back multiple times, even taking the lead for a while in the 4th, before Minnesota took it back, and never looked back. One of the worst games Minnesota has played in the last 2 years. We would be okay with a 8 point loss or so, but 31 is ridiculous. It was Nash's first game and the place was buzzing. Nash didn't shoot the ball much, but he dished the ball well, and the Magic flat out dominated inside, whether it be Howard, or anyone dribbling into the paint and laying it in. GG Bondzai , I'll be looking for revenge in our upcoming game.

    Magic Stats:
    Howard: 24 pts, 16 boards
    Stuckey: 19 pts
    Turkoglu, 15 pts, 6 boards
    Nash: 9 pts, 11 assists

    T-Wolves Stats:
    Love: 22 Pts, 8 boards
    Rubio: 16 pts, 9 assists
    Beasley: 11 Pts

This one was ugly at the start. After 8 minutes of play the score was 11-11. Houston had a half time lead, but Dallas came back and went up 5 going into the fourth. In the final minutes they exploded offensively and pushed it out of reach. Dirk had 27, but the biggest help of the night was 22 by Delonte West. The Houston stars put up 20+, but it wasn't enough. gg Papa Perry

A game between two to of the fastest paced teams in the league, and their style of play was on full display. Minny jumped out early on, but the game went back and forth after washington came back. Minnesota's bench play was very good, and took advantage when either Nick Young or John Wall were out. In the fourth quarter, it was Young vs. Beasley. Both were hitting mid-range shots like crazy, and Minnesota took a 2 pt lead with 30 seconds left and the ball. Beasley took it and ran out the clock, dribbled left and tried a fadeaway jumper, but missed. Rubio came up with a huge rebound though, and then sunk the free throws to seal the game. GG ryalaman

The Grizzlies trotted out their 7 new players for this one, and it was obvious early how little these guys had played together. Memphis opened the 1st quarter scoring only 13 points, and had as many turnovers as made buckets in the quarter. Thankfully, the new defensive presence offered by PF Josh Smith helped keep the Hawks to only 17 points for the quarter and we were still in the game. The scoring picked up the last 3 quarters and the game was a back and forth affair, but eventually the Grizzlies were able to pull the game out late. The bigger roles expected for OJ Mayo and Marc Gasol really came to fruition, as OJ scored 20 points and Marc scored 17 with 14 boards. Several of the newcomers made contributions, especially Jamal Crawford and Al Jefferson, who combined to score 17 off the bench. For Atlanta, new addition Luis Scola was huge for the Hawks, as he led the team in scoring with 24 points.
