Week 10 GT 31 Virginia 21 Hard fought game really went back and forth until the 4th quarter. Virginia opened the game intercepting the first pass of the game for a Touchdown. GT came back with a long TD drive to even up the score. After trading a few possessions GT scored to close out the first half 14-7 Georgia Tech. Both teams stalled to start the second half but another GT interception Virginia got the ball in good field position and they converted that into the game tying Touchdown. The tie ended quickly with a 105 yard Georgia Tech kick off return. Most of Virginia's 4th quarter possessions ended in interceptions, and despite a few late game stops, Virginia could not pull themselves back into the game. GG, Ken Welsch , Some low frame rate made the game a little harder to play in the second half. I need to make sure I have the game Installed to the HD, my machine did not sound to healthy.
Alabama - 20 LSU - 14 The Tide grounds and pounds it's way to victory in Baton Rouge. Yeldon had 122 yards and score and Henry chipped in with 62 yards and a score. Bama forced three LSU interceptions on the day. The Tide also dominated in TOP with a 2-1 margin. With all that being said a fumble late in the 4th quarter gave LSU life down 6. But Fuller's 3rd pick of the day with a minute left in Alabama territory all but sealed the game. GG Dru50. I had a sinking feeling after that fumble but I got bailed out with that pick.
Week 10 GA 24 FSU 21 Georgia hosted Florida State in this non conference match up. Once again for the 2nd year in a row the game came down to the final possession as the Dawgs literally held on for a 24-21 win. GA got on the board first as Rocky Bleier Jr. bullied in from a yard out for a 7-0 lead. FSU would get the equalizer as Christian Green caught a 13 yard TD pass from James Winston to tie it up at 7. After forcing a GA punt, the Noles were on the move once again. Facing a 3rd a short, GA blitzed and boy did the pay the price. Winston found TE AJ Huggins and he broke 2 tackles and ran 60 yards for the TD to stun the GA crowd and gave the Noles a 14-7 lead. After both teams punted, GA came back and struck as Randall Cunningham Jr. found Terrance Edwards on a 68 yard pass as Edwards broke several tackles and raced to the end zone to tie things up at 14 at the half. The 3rd QTR was about the D from both teams as they both flexed their muscles a bit. The lone score came on a Rodney Hampton 4 yard TD run to give the Dawgs a 21-14 ead headed to the 4th QTR. GA would add a FG to extend their lead to 24-14. Winston led a no huddle drive down field and scored in less then a minute as he found Rashad Greene from 5 yards out to cut the GA lead to 3, 24-21. FSU would go for the onsides kick but GA would recover. GA had the ball and needed just 1 1st down to ice the game. The wouldn't get it as FSU put up a monster stand on D and forced a GA punt and had the ball with 1:57 left and n time outs. FSU would get 2 first downs. Then on a 2nd and short, Winston tried to go over the middle and Ty Law Jr. would step in front of that pass for the INT. 3 kneel downs later the game was complete as the Dawgs held on. I looked at some key plays during the game and I saw a couple of nice defensive calls from you on 3rd and short for me. You had the LB under your control. How in the hell did you get that FS/SS to move down to the LOS and line up directly over the center? My C was supposed to block one of the LB's on that play. That was a Gr8 call as you stuffed me for a 1 to 2 yard gain. Key Stats FSU Winston 18/30/238/3td's/ 2 int Huggins TE 5 rec 102 yards 1 td GA Cunningham 7/14/264 1td Edwards WR 3 rec 104 yards 1 td GG Kapono 2 games and both of them went down to the final possession. Heck of a battle bro. You put the clamps on Hampton as he was pretty much bottled up all game. Walker had only 7 carries.
Good game - I'm done with this batch of losers for the year. Jayrah I'll be on AP for our game. EDIT - Zach, that stable of HB's and your OL just abused my defense all game. Getting gashed for 6-7 yards on every running play was about as demoralized as I've been playing this game, although it was comical when I tried running goal line against your 2 WR set and a hole was opened up by the right side of your line big enough to drive a bus through. Good game again, go win the conference now buddy.
GMONEY 15 that play was a man blitz, FS and LLB blitzing. One of the very few times I ran it this season, but knowing you'd be running the ball, I figured who needs a free safety back deep. I felt so stupid throwing that last INT in the 4th, but the pocket was collapsing and I had to just hope the defender wouldn't be looking when Benjamin made his cut
Kapono Much props on that and your game bro. I can see playing against you will be a dam chess match every year. I still can't believe tht pass to your TE and then he broke a tackle and was off to the end zone. I was laying F Bombs all over the place. My neighbor knocked on my door and asked me if I was ok. I told her yes but she had to leave.
Same when I played bama in season one.... There is a new Cheez In town..... If he can recruit too maintain that on offense, Zach could have a really nice run here in NCAA 14
FSU 69 Wake 10 FSU dominated this game as expected, all 3 HBs ran for over 100 yards and Matthew Thomas intercepted his 9th pass of the season, returning it 50 yards before getting caught from behind on the 10 by the running back. Winston looked good, running for 2 TD and passing for 2 without turning the ball over. QB Jameis Winston - 17-23 for 215 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 6 carries for 29 yards, 2 TD HB Devonta Freeman - 12 carries for 107 yards, 3 TD FB James Wilder - 18 carries for 133 yards HB Mario Pender - 6 carries for 107 yards, 2 TD WR Rashad Greene - 5 receptions for 88 yards, TD WR Kelvin Benjamin - 7 receptions for 82 yards, TD
With the garbage depth on LSU's offensive roster to start I basically have to tread water until season 5 when you guys are having to play recruited kids like me.
Week 12 GA 29 WISC 22 I hardly ever post about CPU games but I had to do a quick recap of this. Holy sH%t. Who the hell is Nick Bently? He is a Jr. RB with the Badgers. Prior to this game he rushed 113 times for 634 yards. Well in this SNOW game he had 39 carries. Yes 39 carries for 162 yards 1 td and 38 broken tackles. Yes I started to count them in the first QTR when he was running over DE and LB's. UNREAL. They had the ball for 17.5 minutes. A Hampton Jr. TD and a made 2 pt conversion with 34 seconds left secured the W for the Dawgs. BYE week in week 13 comes at a perfect time. Georgia Tech whygodwhy1111 comes into Athens in week 14 and then the SEC Championship game after that against Bama. recchem2000 These teams have been known this season to run the ball down your dam throats. I have a dam headache thinking about those games already.
Florida St. 56 NC State 10 FSU dominated the first half behind junior WR Kevlin Benjamin, who caught 3 TD passes. Winston was 14-17 on the game and the running game was solid. Matthew Thomas had 9 tackles, and his 10th INT of the season for his 3rd TD. FSU faces Clemson next week, but the Noles already know they're in the ACC Championship game, facing Georgia Tech. QB Jameis Winston - 14-17 for 202 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 8 carries for 65 yards HB Devonta Freeman - 7 carries for 62 yards, 2 TD FB James Wilder - 13 carries for 156 yards, 2 TD HB Mario Pender - 5 carries for 35 yards WR Kelvin Benjamin - 7 receptions for 130 yards, 3 TD
Virginia - 28 Alabama - 42 If you like defense this was not the game for you. Alabama survives at home against the Cavs. The Tide ran all over the Virginia defense, rushing the ball 43 times for 255 yards. QB Blake Sims did his best to keep the Cavalier defense honest, completing 12/14 passes for 185 yards and 3 TDs. Virginia had its way with the Alabama defense though, as their high powered no-huddle spread offense moved the ball up and down the field quickly for TD's. the only 2 stops the Bama defense had was a 4th and 3 at the Bama 38 yard line with the score tied at 14 (really thought you might go for it there Ken) and a late pick with Bams up 2 touchdowns. Good game Ken Welsch if you had stopped my offense once you might have pulled this game out. My run game is really clicking these last few games though. I hope it continues for the rest of the season!
Nice to see my QB Fuller can throw picks when it's not me at the helm....2/10 with 3 INT's vs Ole Miss. He's gonna be on a short leash next year.
Florida St. 33 Clemson 30 (2 OT) Both teams opened the game with field goal drives, but FSU punted on their 2nd drive and allowed a Clemson TD on a Sammy Watkins longball. Jameis Winston then went on to throw a pick, giving Clemson good field position and allowing them to score to go up 17-3. Winston was then able to lead a TD drive, mostly due to a long pass to Marvin Bracy, who played a key role later in the game. FSU's defense held on at the end of the half, but Clemson would get it 1st in the seond half, up 17-10. Clemson took 4 minutes off the clock and got all the way down to the 9 yard line, when Clemson's QB was hit throwing a hitch to the TE and Matthew Thomas was ready, intercepting his 11th pass of the season and saving FSU from a big 24-10 deficit late in the game. FSU the ball down the field, but stalled inside the 5. On 3rd and 1 from the 2, Freeman was pushed backwards a yard, and on 4th and 1, Mario Pender was stuffed, giving Clemson the ball with the 7 point lead with 6:00 left. Clemson would then go 3 and out, and punted to Marvin Bracy who took it 57 yards for the score and the tie with 4:42. Clemson took off 4 minutes of the clock before facing 3rd down around the FSU 32. A sack put them back and a timeout iced the kicker, but they still managed to hit the 54-yards. With just 42 seconds left, FSU needed something from Marvin Bracy, and got it as he made a cut and went up the sideline for a 68-yard return. FSU would move the ball a little, but played it safe and settled on a FG, going to overtime 20-20. FSU scored first in OT, scoring in 5 plays, but they did face a 3rd and 2. Clemson had trouble, facing a 4th and 2 from the 17, but converted. Then they faced 4th and goal from the 9, but Kelley found the open man in the endzone, off to 2 OT. Clemson would then go 3 and out, kicking a FG to go up 30-27. FSU played it cautious, running the ball 4 times for a TD score, with Devonta Freeman ending it on a nice run up the middle, breaking a tackle, and taking a man with him to the endzone. GG MexiRican35 that was a really fun game, I was on the ropes the whole time. FSU QB Jameis Winston - 10-18 for 130 yards, INT HB Devonta Freeman - 13 carries for 81 yards, 3 TD FB James Wilder - 14 carries for 107 yards WR Marvin Bracy - 46-yard reception, 57-yard PR TD, 68-yard KR Clemson QB Chad Kelley - 21-31 for 271 yards, 2 TD, INT HB Quinton Davis - 22 carries for 86 yards, TD WR Sammy Watkins - 9 receptions for 145 yards, TD
Yes Kapono is very tough with my LB . I tried that in one of my CPU games and it lasted all of 1 QTR. lol
I got him on a couple play action plays in our game (which I lost)..... not that I am advocating testing him over the middle, 11 INTs for a LB is gross. It is good to see Kapono "back" after last season where he was gone a lot and out of practice.
Yeah I can be beat on play-action, I'll probably bite only 20-30% of the time. If I do, I try to get back, but if not, I'll just "pretend" I was supposed to be blitzing and hope the QB doesn't see the open man. Also, I don't think the 11 INTs per year can be sustained, the guy I used who was better only had 6 last year. Exciting to know he's only a RS freshman, I'd like to see him get 25-30 career picks, but he may leave to the NFL after his RS soph. year with the new sway rules (which I'm a fan of)
The PA I got you on were read option play action on the couple times I can remember. Its tough, I bite pretty hard on PA sometimes when I am on D. I think it was you that hit the FB for a TD, I was supposed to be in man on him, it was PA wheel route and he was wide open
I think that's how I got you on my long TD to my TE in garbage time of our week 1 game. But it's hard to remember, there's been alot of garbage time in LSU this season.
BTW - I think this season I may have surpassed anything Cheez ever did when it comes to passing futility. I don't have the most INT's but my INT to pass attempt ratio is absurd. My QB has thrown a pick for every 7.13 passes attempted this year. For reference, here are the ratios for the other user QB's with 20+ picks: Jeff Driskel SatansAngel1104 - 32 picks - one every 12.8 attempts Bo Wallace Jayrah - 28 picks - one every 10.6 attempts Kyle Brown Ken Welsch - 23 picks - one every 17.7 attempts Chad Kelly MexiRican35 - 23 picks - one every 13 attempts Luis Fuller (me) - 23 picks - one every 7.1 attempts Johnny Cheeseball bringbackjimmy - 23 picks - one every 8.7 attempts Terrence Fountain Wyrmreaver - 22 picks - one every 17.1 attempts Nathan Armstrong whygodwhy1111 - 20 picks - one every 9.6 attempts The moral of the story - I absolutely suck at this game without 2 95+ OVR WR's and 2 90+ OVR TE's to throw to, and I apparently need to go google search some money routes or cheat codes or something. Expect to see a 90/10 run/pass ratio from my team next year.
