I think Something change with settings recently. My qb is really bad in CPU games now. Like 20+ yards underthrows. Last game he threw a pick 10 yards past a WR 5 yards down field on the sideline. Things that were not really a problem before the last 3 weeks. I still win easily but I am losing the Turnover battle to the CPU Badly.
also seeing alot more dropped interceptions, which is probably fine since I probably could have had 10 ints with 5 different players
I've been seeing dropped interceptions since last season. My defenders can't catch a cold, let alone a pass that hits them in the hands. Of course, my opponents catch every bad throw I make perfectly fine.....
What's really crazy is that only 3 of the 8 of us with that many INT's have crappy records. It certainly isn't hurting you or WGW or UF.
Not advocating that we change this at all, so don't think that I am. But I attribute this to a speed threshold issue from EA. Open receivers aren't really that open, especially running away from LB's over the middle. They still can be 2 yards behind the receiver and make up the ground while the ball is in the air to pick it off. It's retarded. Also, anticipating and throwing on the break with your receiver isn't suggested unless you specifically watch the CB turn his body. A lot of times I'll be anticipating and the CB beats my WR to the route. I wish EA had made better WR/CB interaction like we've been advocating for here and on tgt for years. I don't care if the CB gets there and knocks it away (with a true knock away move, not a dropped int) or "jumps" a comeback or something, but the way it is designed even if your WR has leverage it means nothing 1/2 the time. And then the final issue is that receivers don't attack the ball. They'll go for an "over the shoulder" grab while a CB jumps for a pick, or completely stop and wait for the ball to come to them while the CB jumps in front. You guys know what I'm talking about. It's just so completely unrealistic when trying to fit a ball in most of the time. Also I've thrown 4 or 5 on screens where I can't see the receiver I'm throwing to and the guy that's supposed to be getting blocked is literally just standing with the receiver and because the receiver just sits there and doesn't attack it, well, it gets snatched up by the defender who does attack it. Like you pointed out Dru, 28 picks, and my QB is a 99 rating with terrific accuracy. I've made some bad decisions and such but mostly it's just that it's impossible to anticipate properly or even throw to a guy with a 2 yard lead on any route.
Also, I do think a slight speed threshold change would help this not be such an issue, but like I say I'm not particularly advocating it just suggesting it might help. Then again I've been wondering what moving the overall speed to slow would do? It literally seems like everything happens in fast forward sometimes. Like for example last night I was playing SatansAngel1104 and his TE was in and out of a 12 yard break before his qb could finish his dropback. I realize that particular TE is a complete and utter BEAST but still it was lightning fast. AGAIN, not saying what he did to me was unrealistic or that slowing things down should stop that guy from owning me. Just wondering out loud what it might look like because it seems like things happen in nano-seconds sometimes. Other times I think that the Qb might end up with 9 seconds to throw if we do that too, so double-edged sword I guess.
Yes of course it does because fixing one thing in this game would mess up another. If everybody slows down (or speeds up), it should effect nothing. But not on EA's field.
The defense has had to play well... Like last night vs Jayrah... If it wasn't for my defense I was toast cause of INTs. And a fumble on what I'd like to call the - half yard line hehe
To me, I feel like there is some definite game to game, quarter to quarter swing of talent. Like when the CPU goes from hot to cold or when your team just plays ridiculously good or bad (ie vs Georgia)
I've played on slow. Option seemed fine to me, but man coverage was way more powerful and qbs throw out routes with the velocity and timing of normal speed, meaning the ball sails wide almost every time
Arkansas 18 LSU 14 Fuck this team. I hope I get fired, cause I'm not sure I'll play another game with them. This isn't even remotely fun to me at this point. OL doesn't block, WRs either don't get open or drop it, or run into the corner on the press, get off the press and then backpedal 3 steps back into the press again (which happened on the turnover that cost me the game).
Florida St. 24 Florida 17 1st quarter was defensive, with the only big play being Devonta Freeman running outside to the left for a 50 yard TD run. Both teams started scoring, and FSU led 21-7 with 2:07 left. Florida drove the field and scored with 33 seconds left. FSU then proceeded to go 3 and out and give UF the ball and allowing a FG before the half to hold on to a 21-17 lead, UF getting the ball at halftime. Neither team scored in the 3rd quarter, and FSU settled on a short FG with 6:43 left in the game. Florida had the ball down 7 with about 3 minutes left and eventually got a big pass to the WR with around a minute left. The players decided not to allow the TD and try for a late FG, tackling him at the 2-yard line. FSU held on 1st down, and on 2nd down, Florida's HB took the run outside to the left, only to be stopped about an inch short. On 3rd down, Florida ran up the middle, but Matthew Thomas blew up the play behind the line of scrimmage. On 4th down, Florida passed. Matthew Thomas, who already had an INT on the day, stepped in front of the tight end, and intercepted the pass to win the game. GG SatansAngel1104 FSU QB Jameis Winston - 11-16 for 114 yards, TD, 0 INT, rush TD HB Devonta Freeman - 12 carries for 99 yards, TD FB James Wilder - 11 carries for 50 yards WR Christian Green - 3 receptions for 40 yards, TD UF QB Jeff Driskel - 14-21 for 291 yards, 4 INT HB T Herron - 5 carries for 62 yards, TD TE Kent Taylor - 3 receptions for 109 yards WR Q Dunbar - 4 receptions for 91 yards
Florida St. 35 Georgia Tech 33 Neither team plays much defense in the first half, Florida St. scored a TD with 14 seconds left in the half to cut the deficit to 17-14 GT. But special teams couldn't stop the return and FSU let Georgia Tech kick and easy FG to go up 20-14 at halftime. QB Nathan Armstrong played well, only throwing 1 incompletion in the half. In the 2nd half, FSU focused on the run game, which Georgia Tech couldn't seem to stop. FSU led 28-27 going into the 3th quarter with GT driving, but Nathan's Armstrong's pitch was knocked down in deep in FSU territory, and returned by the Noles another 10-15 yards. FSU played it cautious and gave GT the ball back up just 1 point. But should-be Heisman contender Matthew Thomas was able to jump a curl route, and return it inside the 10, setting up a Mario Pender TD run to go up 35-27, but still not out of the woods. Goergia Tech the failed on a 4th down deep in FSU territory, used their timeouts, and forced an FSU punt with under a minute remaining. Of course, FSU's defense collapsed and allowed GT to just run the option right through them for a TD, 35-33 with a 2-point conversion to tie. GT passes, and Matthew Thomas stepped in front of the slant, catching it and keeping FSU's title hopes alive. GG whygodwhy1111 not much defense, you gained over 500 yards on us. FSU QB Jameis Winston - 10-12 for 163 yards, TD, 0 INT, 5 carries for 11 yards HB Devonta Freeman - 12 carries for 41 yards, TD FB James Wilder - 14 carries for 77 yards, TD HB Mario Pender - 6 carries for 72 yards, 2 TD WR Kelvin Benjamin - 3 receptions for 91 yards, TD GT QB Nathan Armstrong - 14-17 for 281 yards, 3 TD, INT, 20 carries for 138 yards, TD HB Joe Sanders - 7 carries for 40 yards HB Donald Woods - 4 carries for 42 yards WR Nicholas Bryant - 8 receptions for 140 yards, 2 TD WR Chris Wilson - 3 receptions for 76 yards, TD
Holy shit where do I start! What a night for the Fighting Recchem's! SEC CCG Alabama - 31 Georgia - 17 Bama fell behind 10-0 with 5 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. But we put together a long, slow drive and found ourselves with a 4th and one at the UGA 1 yard line with 4 seconds to go in the half. Rather than kick the chip shot FG we elected to do what we do...pound the rock. And it worked as Derrick Henry took it in from a yard out. 10-7 UGA at half. Alabama got the second half kickoff and started another drive. Sensing a Bulldog blitz, the Tide audibled to a PA pass and connected for a 55 yard Td pass to the TE Volger. After a UGA pick, Freshman HB McDonald took it 82 yards for another score, UGA would strike back late in 3rd with a 71yard TD pass to cut the lead to 4 after 3 quarters. Fourth quarter was more of the same for the Bama offense as they pounded the run game. Henry would score again from a yard out RO make it an 11 point game. After another UGA pick, Bama chipped in a FG to put the lead to 14. Another UGA pick would seek the deal. FG GMONEY 15 Sorry I hogged the ball
NC Game Alabama - 34 Florida State - 24 A low scoring affair for a half of football as this game was 3-3 until Alabama scored a Td with 6 seconds left in the first half to take the lead into the locker room. Second half Alabama threw a pick on the very first play allowing FSU to kick a FG to cut the lead to 4. The Tide would answer back with a drive that I don't think I three the ball once...I could be wrong. But anyway, Derrick Henry punched it in from a yard out to give Bama 17-6 lead. On the ensuing kick FSU's Bracy would take the ball 108 yards for the score. 2pt conversion good and it's a 17-14 game. Alabama would be forced to punt on their next drive and FSU capitalized hitting a 50 yard FG to tie the score heading into the 4th. In the 4th HB Henry round an open lane and scampered 38 yards for the go ahead scores. This lead was short lived however. A minute later Winston found Benjamin for a 27 yard score to tie the game at 24 with 3 minutes to play. Next Alabama drvie QB Blake Sims misses the RO as he was trying to hand off. Good thing he didn't as he found a huge running lane a ran 77 yards for the go ahead score. Alabama would tack on a FG after another Winston pick. GG Kapono. This one was a coin flip until the 4th quarter. Always a good game playing you man. I hope we meet again!
