That Titans currently have $48 dollars remaining in Cap space
Couple questions about signings and cuts.
Can we only cut guys who's contracts are up?
Do we go by contract lengths that are already on Madden?
You can cut others, however it will cost you half of the guys contract for the lenght remaining in his contract.
I cut Joe Blows he had 3 years remaining on his 4 year deal for $3 a year. Now $1.5 counts towards the salary cap for the next 3 years.
Shit, I completely forgot about getting you those contract lenghts. Saturday is my Commish catchup night, so I should be able to churn everything out then.
Attempts to release FB A. Hall and P B. Kern are not possible due to the Madden impossed requriment of always having a starter listed. This won't be an issue after the draft and FA, but I can't actually put them in the pool. Please make a note of this and consider them FAs even if you cant see them.
FB A. Hall and P B. Kern are FAs!
just so no one misses it.
What we normally do is pick up a 40 something dude as a place holder, then drop the FAs.
Psycho i still can edit the dolphins spreadsheet. Can u grant me access so I can edit it?
is the link to the open I made.. if you can it out that will work as well
Contracts Not renewed
wait, are we doing resignings now before offseason progression? seems like it should be after progression....
Any player who's contract is up and we do NOT resign them then there is NO salary cap hit, right?
Correct, cut them into the FA pool and remove them completely from your salary sheet.
that would make sense. I won't post anything until Psycho makes a final verdict.
Yes, you cut and resign guys before progression/regression.
And actually, no it doesn't make sense to sign guys after progression... just because for years madden and NCAA have tricked you into thinking that you can see progression before forking over the cash to keep someone, doesn't mean that it's the natural course.
What's the one fear that every GM in the NFL? Easy, you have a player that teeters on being over the hill, or having his best year ever... or you wonder if an older player can fill the role for just one more year. So whether you keep him, and pay him the money or cut him, find out you where right/wrong by doing so. Basically by signing guys now you have to role the dice and live with what it comes up.
That's what signing guys before regression/progression gives you. Some guys pan out, some don't, but you won't find out till you've purchased the goods and got it home to find out.
Alright. I'll get my list up tonight
Note: None of these guys are team or league leaders so their MAX$ are not affected?
All cuts were at the end of their contracts, no salary cap hits. Green Bay does have $3 is hits from cuts over the season.
Maybe I'm missing something but I can't find the option to resign players in the game but here is my intent (all have their contracts due up at the end of this season):

OL D. Fergusen
OL N. Mangold
