Cowboys have a strong showing in victory over Niners

QB Tanner Hurns continues his assault on HK with another strong performance versus the 49ers. The Niners have been one of the dominating teams this season in Hard Knocks and they came into Cowboys Stadium with a 12-2 record and the number 1 defense in all of HK. The game started out with Dallas kicking a FG on the opening drive, and the Niners were able to quickly march down the field to set themselves up for the tie or lead. But OLB Anthony Spencer would pick off a Colin Kaepernick pass and the Cowboys would score on a long TD pass from Hurns to TE Jason Witten. Witten would have a HUGE game as well. Dallas would jump out to a 17-7 lead before halftime when HB DeMarco Murray broke a 75 yard run.

San Fran would make their halftime adjustments and ended up coming out of the half with 14 unanswered points in a matter of a couple of minutes. With the score 21-17, the Cowboys would mount another huge drive that resulted in a Murray TD run. Not to be outdone, the 49ers mounted a huge 4th quarter drive to take the lead with 2:17 left in the game. This is where QB Tanner Hurns showed his maturity. He would lead the Cowboys down the field and then lay a gorgeous pass to WR Cole Beasley. Beasley and all his 5'8" frame would leap and make a huge TD catch. 31-28 Cowboys as Cowboys stadium exploded. The Niners would kick a last second FG to tie it and send the game to overtime. From there the Cowboys were able to stop the 49ers on a big 3rd down. San Fran ended up punting and downing the ball inside the 10 yard line, and once again Tanner Hurns went to work. Hurns would lead the Cowboys down the field and ultimately to the game winning FG with less than 1:00 left in overtime. GG biggcoug65
