Two of the games premier young talent takes the stage; special teams steals the show though In a game that went into overtime the difference was turnovers and special teams. The young speedster for the Colts, Ty Hilton, was able to take two punts back to the house as the Colts were able to survive the Bengals in OT. It was back and forth the entire game and it seemed like a Cincy victory late when Dalton threw an INT with 1 minute left. The Colts were able to drive down and kick the FG to sent it to OT. The Colts would receive and take it down for a short FG. The next possession Dalton would throw another INT and Indy would be able to seal the game. Great game ChildPlease9
Panthers rebound week two. 28-23 over Texans Charlotte, NC...AP....The Carolina Panthers bounced back week 2 handing the Texans their second consecutive loss as the Panthers ground out a victory behind 98 rushing yards from Deangelo Williams and a great effort form rookie WR Brandan Collins. Williams score two TD's one a 60 yard scamper and finished with 98 yards. Rookie wideout Brandan Collins showcased his blinding speed hauling in a Jimmy Clausen pass and taking it the distance 76 yards for a TD. The Panthers D showed improvement forcing 4 turnovers in the victory. GG Pitt
Rams - 41
Cardinals - 0
In a game where the Rams should be happy after beating a CPU cardinal team, the Rams coach was distraught because they lost starting WR Sam Jackson, starting TE Lance Hendricks and Nickel Corner Bradley Fletcher to injury. Jackson and Hendricks will be out for almost two months. Just a devastating blow to the Rams and the re-tooled offense. The defense was dominant with fresh bodies along the DL getting significant playing time. The Rams had a solid rotation going in order to keep guys fresh, it paid off by limiting the Cardinal offense.
PATRIOTS HOLD ON FOR SECOND ROAD WIN OF SEASON PHILADELPHIA, PA. - Week two found the Patriots on the road again facing yet another NFC East squad, and although it was not their best performance, the Pats escaped Phily with a 29-16 win in a game marred by turnovers and sloppy QB play on both sides. However, it was not all bad for the Pats, as they managed to rush for 101 yards with Ben Tate leading the way gaining 85 yards on 17 caries. So while the NE running game is still anemic at least it appears to have a heartbeat. Tom Brady struggled but managed to throw 3 TD passes, one each to Gronkowski, Welker and Lloyd, and racked up 270 yards through the air. However, Brady struggled from an efficiency standpoint and the most memorable part of the game were his 3 INTs. If there was a bright shining spot in this game, it would be the Patriots defense. The Eagles managed only 78 yards on the ground with Vick gaining 41 of the yards on 4 QB scrambles. Additionally, the D intercepted Vick twice and sacked him 5 times. DE Chandler Jones recorded two of those sacks and this game announced his emergence as perhaps the Pats best option for pressure from the corner.
19 - 14On a cold and rainy night, the 49ers and Browns met in Cleveland, and neither team seemed to be able to hold onto the football. There were numerous costly drops and fumbles in this game that seemed to always come at key moments in the game, with the last one being the most costly for the Browns as Gordon dropped the game winning TD as time expired in the end zone.
Neither team could establish a running game as both defenses were stout in run defense. The first score of the game came after each team already had a couple possessions when Colin Kaepernick was sacked and fumbled the ball for a defensive TD for the second straight game. The 49ers would strike back on a TD pass from Kaepernick to Vernon Davis, and add a David Akers FG to make it 10-7. But another 49ers turnover set the Browns up in good field position and eventually Trent Richardson would just will his hay into the endzone to put the Browns up again. The 49ers would add another FG to make it 14-13 going into the 4th. The 49ers had a 4th and inches just over the 50 in Browns territory and decided to go for it as time was becoming important, Frank Gore got the 1st going for about 5 yards over the left side to keep the drive going. This drive eventually ended with a TD pass from Kaepernick to Davis again, to put the Niners up 19-13. The 49ers would go for 2 and Kaepernick had a receiver wide open in the flat, btu was hit as he was trying to throw and the pass didn't quite make it to the receiver. During the Browns next drive, Weeden was driving the Browns down the field, when he was picked off by rookie CB Jamal Williams. The 49ers would try to make the Browns use some timeouts and get some first downs as well, but the Browns defense was tough and forced a 49er punt with shortly after the 2-minute warning. The Browns would drive down the field and wind up with a 4th and 1 from the Niners 6 yard line with about 50 seconds remaining in the game. They gave it to Richardson, who got the first down, then gave it to him again, but he was stuffed and the Browns had to use their final timeout. After a couple incomplete passes and a penalty, the Browns had 3rd and goal from the Niners 7 yard line with only 2 seconds remaining. Gordon ran a post and beat the defender to the inside and must have seen Whitner coming towards him as the ball arrived and lost his concentration as the ball was dropped and hit the turf with 00:00 reading on the clock.
Kaepernick - 14/26 184 yards 2 TD's 1 INT
Weeden - 11/34 111 yards 0 TD's 3 INT
Gore - 15 for 45 yards
Richardson - 26 for 72 yards 1 TD
V. Davis - 3 for 70 yards 2 TD's
A. Jones - 3 for 66 yards
Little - 3 for 30 yards
Vikings Get It Done AP carries Vikings to a 14-10 victory over Atlanta. A very ugly game where both quarterbacks attempted only 20 passes combined for 149 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. I don't know if it was good defense or just bad offense. The Vikings held the Falcons to just 129 yards total on offense. Brian Robison is proving the trade of Jared Allen to not be so bad after all as he sacked Matt Ryan twice today. Newly acquired free agent, Geno Hayes grabbed an interception for the Purple.
Adrian Peterson had a phenomenal day with 19 carries for 144 yards and 1 score.
28 - 20
First quarter, both teams traded their first possession. Titans faced a 3rd and long and hit a beautiful seam route against cover 2 resulting in a 7-0 lead. That didn't last too long as Antonio Brown returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards to tie the game up at 7-7. Pittsburgh would go on and score 14 points, Mendenhall TD rush and a play action where Ben didn't break Wallace's stride as he split the safeties to put the Steelers up 21-7. Tennessee would get a score and go into halftime down 7 with the Steelers receiving the 2nd half kickoff.
Most of the second half was a stalemate, both teams couldn't get anything going offensively. Tennessee would get the game down to one point at 21-20 but would turn the ball over on downs. Mendenhall would eventually punch it in from 27 yards out and give Pittsburgh an eight point lead with under 2:00 to go and would be wrapped up with an Ike Taylor interception.

vs 37 - 7 Packers Defense harassed Raiders QB Carson Palmer all day long, sacking him 9 times and intercepted him 4 times on the day... Packers OLB Clay Matthews was the main contributor for the Defense... On the day he recorded 5 sacks, and several tackles for loss... He was wreaking havoc all day on the Raiders Offense... Offensively for the Packers, they were led by the speedy legs of Leon Washington, who ran for 100 yards on just 8 carries... Aaron Rodgers pitched in 185 yards through the air, but his numbers were down due to the great field position created by the Defense...
Jaguars Pull Off The UpsetBeat Bucs 24-21 Jacksonville, FL - As the Jaguars continue to rebuild, they've been searching for any signs of life with this new-look squad. It was ugly early. Jaguars QB Jordan Mapa would throw 4 INTs in the first half including a pick 6. However, the Jags were able to keep it close and it was only 14-10 Bucs at halftime. In the 2nd half, Mapa turned his game around and led the Jags on a comeback victory by throwing 2 TDs and 0 INTs. The Jags finally took the lead with about 20 seconds left when Mapa connected with WR Justin Blackmon for a 24-21 victory. The real story of the game was the Jaguars suffocating rush defense. Bucs RB Doug Martin ran for 249 yards and 2 TDs in week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. That would be dramatically different against the Jaguars. Martin would only rush for 11 yards on 13 carries as the Bucs running game was completely shut down. This should put the rest of the league on notice that the Jags may have one of the best rush defenses in the league.
14 - 3 Frustration Level Continues to Rise In Miami The Miami fans and coaches frustration levels continue to rise after Miami dropped a 14-3 decision to BobJr and his Dallas Cowboys. The Dolphins had a couple opportunities to score some points, but overthrown passes, dropped passes and 2 Interceptions helped to dampen a 120 yard effort from MJD. Afterwards the Miami Head Coach told the media "I'm not asking our passing game go to out there and rack up 400 yards and 4 TDs, but we have got to atleast play winning football. When we have guys open we have to make those throws, and when the throw is there we have got to catch it. Because if we cant start playing winning football around here there are going to be some guys that will find themselves on the FA market." Good Game BobJr
