    Clemson Upsets Crimson Tide
Tigers Knock Off #1 Bama 27-15

Tuscaloosa, AL- The #4 Clemson Tigers got an early season test against Nick Saban, TJ Yeldon and the Crimson Tide and passed with flying colors. The story of the win for Clemson was the play of the defense. They held Alabama to 262 yards of offense and forced 2 turnovers. Even more impressive was shutting down the Alabama rushing game and holding them to only 34 yards on 19 attempts.

Clemson ended up with 328 yards of offense 133 passing and 195 rushing. The running game was led by DJ Howard who had 111 yards on 19 carries. Sammy Watkins paced the WR with three catches for 75 yards, including a bomb as time expred in the second quarter. Clemson took a shot downfield with :02 left on the clock, and for the first time, maybe ever, Watkins was pulled down from behind. Chad Kelly was 9-15 for 133 yards and 1 pick, but he did score on the ground. Mackensie Alexander was the star of the defense coming up with both interceptions of Blake Sims.

Clemson will face Texas in Week 4.

UNC would get going quickly as they tried to wash away the tears from a OU beating in the previous week. The freshman QB looked much more poised in this game, and only threw two dumb picks at the end of the game in garbage time. It was a very balanced attack with 213 yards passing and nearly 200 yards rushing. The Carolina defense looked a lot more cohesive sans a late score. This team will go as far as the freshman QB can take them, mistakes must be held to a minimum.

    Pitt 10
    Miami 35

    Vs Pitt.jpg

Miami dominated Pitt in this one, QB Ryan Williams went 11-12 for 163 yards and 2 TDs, the Panthers also got a heavy dose of Duke Johnson as he got 37 touches for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Miami defense would finish with 6 sacks on the day in a great performance all around and a really easy victory.
