    Rams - 34
    Cowboys - 13

The St. Louis Rams are one win away from tying last year's mark and were led by Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson. Jackson had his third straight game of over 100 yards on the ground and Bradford threw for 298 yards and 4 TD's. With Sam Jackson out, Bradford hit Devery Henderson on two long TD bombs when Dallas went to single coverage with no over the top help. These bombs really loosened the Dallas defense and allowed the Rams to pound the ball with Steven Jackson.

Defensively the Rams were able to get decent pressure on Tanner Hurns led by Robert Quinn and Andre Carter each with two sacks each. A big time time difference maker was Shyquelle Jackson the Rams rookie Free Safety that had an interception and forced a key fumble which gave the Rams a 17 point lead.
The front four for the Rams rotated quite often with 9 guys playing in the front four keeping the defenders fresh and allowing the Rams to stuff the Cowboy running attack which only ran for 17 yards.

The Rams head into the bye week 3-0 and looking ahead to the SF 49ers who are looming in week 5. The Rams still won't be at full strength, but are looking forward to the next test.

FALCONS GET A MUCH NEEDED WIN
Beat the userless Cardinals in Arizona 27-20
    [IMG]
    - The Falcons started the season 0-2 to the Buccaneers and currently undefeated Vikings. Atlanta was in desperate need for a victory and in the 3rd week of the season, did just that.
    - Matt Ryan was almost perfect, with the only mistake being an early 1st half interception. Finished out the day 15-20 for 226 yards, a touchdown, and that lone INT
    - Michael Turner got back to his normal 100+ yards self, being held to less than 90 yards the first two games. He ran 26 times for 100 yards and a touchdown
    - Visanthe Shiancoe, the player of the game, had a career day. Receiving 7 passes for 148 yards and 2 TD
    - Patrick Heaps, Brent Grimes, and Akeem Dent all had 4 tackles each
    - Sean Weatherspoon had a tackle, sack, and an interception
    - Next week, the Falcons face off against NeuroticTruth and the undefeated Saints

Sometimes The D has to Win it
    27-17 Titans Win
*First game was disconnected for excessive griefing
Game would start with a huge 1 handed snag from Kenny Britt and he would streak down the field only to be caught up with and hurt his foot.
Next play Chris Johnson would take a stretch play to fumble the ball and DLineman would scoop and score, somehow
But not so fast, Marc Mariani would return the very next kickoff for 6.
Rob Bironas bangs a 52 yarder
    Ray Rice 1 yard TD
Rob Bironas another 52 yarder before half
    Baltimore FG
Tommie Campbell pick 6 would give them the lead but only by 3.
Ray Rice would take a stretch play and get rocked by Michael Griffin and LOLB Moch would scoop and score and practically end the game

    Game Notes:

An exceptionally fast paced game for the Steelers as the Broncos produced the pace they wanted.
Pittsburgh won the toss and took the ball, after moving it with some relative ease Denver dialed up some pressure on a few consecutive plays and caused Ben to fumble. Two plays later Denver was on the board first. Steelers answered back and tied the game up.
Denver took a 24-21 lead into halftime, the third quarter was pretty much a stalemate as the Steelers were able to get three on the board to tie the game up.
With the Steelers up 7, the Broncos were about getting into the endzone to tie the game. They were able to do so with under two minutes to go, as Ben and the Steelers took the field. Rushing with Mendenhall and getting the ball into the hands of the speedy receivers to get them down field. A big and smart play by rookie wide out Dominick Bowles allowed Pittsburgh to walk out of Mile High city with a victory. As the DB played man coverage, Roethlisberger hit the rookie on a sharp post cut, as the defenders were wanting him to walk into the endzone, he fell down to keep the ball and the clock moving eventually setting up the game winning FG.

Mendenhall was a machine running behind his big maulers, totaling 156 yards rushing.
Jonathan Stewart looked like the type of back the Broncos wanted in his first two carries, a 61 yard rush then punching it in to cap it off. After those two touches on their first possession of the ball game, Stewart had 13 carries for 21 yards!

    Statistics:

Dolphins Finally Find the End Zone and Earn Their 1st Win
Miami entered their 1st AFC East game of the season with an 0-2 recorded and still searching for their 1st TD of the year. The Dolphins took the opening kick-off and drove it to inside the New England 5 yard line when the drive stalled and Miami settled for yet another FG. But that disappointing stat would not continue as the Miami defense would pick off 5 Tom Brady passes and finally score 2 Tds to go with 4 FG to push Miami to a 26-18 win over New England. In his first start after being benched Ryan Tannehill efficient throwing for 187 yards and 2 Tds, although he did have a pick 6, but looks to have regained control of the starting job for now. It was another outstanding day for Jones-Drew as he rushed for 166 yards on 29 carries, many of those coming in the 2nd half as the Dolphins were looking to grind out yards and eat clock. But the with out a doubt the day belong to the Miami defense as they intercepted Brady 5 times and held the New England running game to 6 yards, while also recording 3 sacks on the day.

This was just one of those games for the 49ers where everything seemed to be going their way. On the first play from scrimmage for the Giants, they threw an INT, and that set the 49ers up in great field position, and after a few plays, Kaepernick threw a risky pass to Crabtree, but the defender wasn't paying attention and Crabtree caught it in the endzone to make it 7-0 Niners early. On the Niners next possession, Kaepernick threw a screen to Gore, who took it down the sideline for a long TD, to make it 14-0. And that was the way the game seemed to go, the Giants didn't score until it was already 35-0. The 49ers had 5 sacks and forced 5 turnovers, the last one Donte Whitner picked off and returned for a TD.
Kaepernick had 4 TD passes, Eli had 4 INT's, and that is pretty much most of the story line for this one in a rain soaked game.
the 49ers move to 3-0 and have Baltimore on deck.

Despite putting up 289 yds in passing Carson Palmer could only muster 1 TD and 1 INT and 10 points for the Raiders, but today that was good enough to win. It was a struggle for both teams on offense as the defensive's would dominant with lots of stops and a couple of turnovers each, The Texans defensive had a huge big play forcing a fumble on the 2 yd line and then returning it at past midfield but The Raiders defense would hold and ultimately win the game for Oakland.

    42 - 10

Green Bay traveled to Minnesota in Week 3 and despite being in a hostile environment, the Packers seemed unfazed... The Offense was clicking, the Defense was doing its thing and the Packers ran away with this one early in the 3rd quarter...

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was nearly perfect on the day throwing for 263 yards and 5 td's

The ground game was led by the quick, shifty tailback Leon Washington who ran the ball 15 times for 80 yards on the day.

On the Defensive side of the Ball, OLB Clay Matthews was an absolute monster, sacking Vikings QB's 3 times and returning a 2nd quarter int back for a touchdown.

In some sad news, Vikings WR Percy Harvin torn a pectoral muscle and will miss the remainder of the Season.

How many games has Harvin played in? It seems he has been hurt most of his career so far in this league?

BUCS DEFENSE COMES UP HUGE IN 23-10 VICTORY!
CAROLINA- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense forced The Carolina Panthers to turn the ball over 3 times and held the CAMLESS Panthers to just 4 total yards of rushing on the day. Tampa didn't have nearly as good of a game rushing as they had in week 1 of the season, but was able to keep the defense honest on the afternoon. QB Josh Freeman didnt "light up" the stat column, but he didnt turn the ball over which Coach BG believes is the recipe for winning in this league. He finished the day gaining 222yds and throwing for 1 score. Next up, The BUCS play host to the Houston Texans.

Phillip Buchanon Leads Jaguars To 23-17 Victory Over Bengals
Cincinnati, OH - Phillip Buchanon had a great career at the University of Miami. So impressive that it led to him being the #17 overall pick in the 2002. After that though, he's had a disappointing career in the NFL. That was all forgotten on Sunday in Cincinnati as Buchanon put in a stellar performance for the Jaguars. He had 3 interceptions which made him one of Andy Dalton's favorite targets. All 3 INTs played a big role including his last INT that sealed the game.
The Jags weren't able to cruise to their 2nd victory though. It wasn't a pretty start to the game as the Bengals jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter. Slowly but surely, the Jags made things tough on the Bengals tying up the game in the 2nd quarter. Then toward the end of the 2nd quarter, rookie QB Jordan Mapa would throw a deep strike to WR Mike Thomas as Thomas would go 94 yards for a TD to give the Jags the lead in the game. Mapa would have a great performance in this game with 349 passing yards and 0 INTs.
In the 2nd half, it was much more of a defensive battle. The Jaguars were able to extend their lead though and hang on for win #2 as the Bengals put in a tough fight all the way to the end.

(Rookie Cornerback Alante Wallace from UL-Lafayette)
The player of the game was clearly Alante Wallace...who? Yes, Alante Wallace, the Redskins Rookie Free Agent Cornerback. Wallace had 3 interceptions and returned one for a touchdown which turned out to be the biggest play of the game for Washington putting them up by 2 scores. Wallace now has 4 interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown. There's no hiding that he should be near the top of the Rookie of the Year Votings when the polls come out. The Washington offense had a hard time getting going early in the game, but their four interceptions of Michael Vick were the deciding factor in the game. Robert Griffin only threw for 170 yards, but he was 12/17 and had a touchdown pass, he has been much better with his decision making in comparison to his rookie year.
