    OKSU slides by Arkansas 34-21

Wes Lunt is no longer the starting QB for OKSU as Freshman Reggie Dickson has taken over. Dickson went 15/22 with 261 and 3 TD in his debut. He also added 11 carries for 76 yards. Randle went over the 100 yard mark for the first time with 115 as well. This OKSU team plays a completely different style than last years ball club. It should be interesting throughout the season

I usually get a PM about restarts. Restarts are not allowed with out proof. I had a tree fall on my power line a few days ago. They finally came and fixed it this morning and of course to fix it they must shut off the power. Right in the middle of my game. Want to see a picture of the tree?

Sucks about the tree. No picture needed of said tree unless there is a naked chik next to it....

Tar Heels blank struggling Hawkeyes, hold them to 164 yards on offense
    iowa.jpg
It wasn't a good day to be a Hawkeye fan, as the 70,000 plus that filled Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City left utterly in shock, having just been embarrassed on national television against another ranked opponent, dropping their 2nd game in a row. The Tar Heels dominated this game completely from beginning to end, holding the Iowa offense to 164 total yards, 18 rushing yards, 7 first downs, and forcing two turnovers, holding Iowa QB Cody Sokol to 8/21 passing with 0 TD and 1 INT, while allowing one opportunity for a Hawkeye score: a missed 59-yard field goal from possibly the nation's best kicker in Mike Meyer.
A quiet first quarter saw starting UNC HB AJ Blue get sidelined for the quarter with an abdomen strain. Blue would then get knocked out for up to 3 weeks with a shoulder bruise early in the 2nd half, so the Tar Heels decided to use more of an option run game instead of relying on tiny backup HB Romar Morris to carry the workload all game. UNC would roll out several different packages featuring backup QB Marquise Williams, known for his blazing speed. Williams would finish with 88 yards rushing, Morris with 75, and Blue with 30 for a balanced rushing attack that had Iowa on its heels all game.
The scoring wouldn't start until the 2nd quarter, where UNC would open up a 17 point lead going into halftime. Blue would score on a 5 yard rush to start the quarter, then a field goal on the next possession, followed by a 3 yard passing TD to WR Sean Tapley with mere seconds left in the half. Dejected, the Hawkeyes didn't appear to be interested at all in the 2nd half, with Sokol unable to find a rhythm and the rushing game in shambles. The defense played well, forcing an INT in the 3rd quarter. But the Tar Heels would put the game away in the 4th with a field goal and another touchdown, completely destroying the Hawkeyes. Next week is a tune up game against Duke before the big show down at Virginia Tech.

Not that I'm a glutton for punishment to see my loss vs. FSU written up, but where is it Will Atkinson? :)

    20-17 FSU
    [IMG]
The Seminoles came into this one riding high off a dramatic road win at the Big House. Both defenses came out in this one ready to play and had both QB's confused most of the day. After we got on the board first with a FG, Trickett had the ball trying to add on to that lead but CB Tyrell Burriss had other plans. Intercepting Trckett's pass and taking it back 20 yards for a NCST TD which put them on top 7-3 going into the 2nd quarter. Once again both defenses dominated the second quarter, but one big play from NCST put some seperation between the two before the half. Quinton Payne was able to behind the defense and took it 70 yards for a TD. 14-3 at the half NCST..
FSU came out in the second half knowing we had to switch up our offensive game plan and that meant to run the ball with more consistency, back-up HB James Wilder Jr. showed the ability to break tackles and get the tough yards in the first half he just didn't have enough touches. In the 3rd we were able to put together a long drive that was capped off with Wilder Jr, running in from 3 yards out..Cutting the NCST lead to only 4 going into the 4th quarter.
NCST added a FG to start the 4th quarter which put there lead at 7 with 4:19 to play. FSU needed a big drive from Clint Trickett to tie this up and he came through once again. Despite having a bad day passing, he lead us on another TD drive late in the 4th to tie it up with 1:34 to play..After the defense started to bring 8 men in the box to stop the running game Clint was finally able to find a rhythm which he lacked most of the day. JUCO transfer Ahmad Bush hit a 46 yard FG with one tick left to win a dramatic defensive game which featured 10 points in the final 1:34..
This was a big win for the Noles and their hunt for an ACC title, many games to play from now to then but they needed to win this one and they did. Great game The Parrothead i look forward to many more much like this one in the future.
Player of the Game: James Wilder Jr. 22 carries 109 yards 1 TD 4 catches for 20 yards..
Next week the Seminoles are back on the road to face the Clemson Tigers in Death Valley..
