Bills get first win of the season in impressive fashion

Arlington, TX - In a game that Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson called a must have, the Bills dominated a turnover heavy game against the powerhouse Dallas Cowboys. Coach Chris Smith Ellis made the change at QB, inserting Kyle Orton to start over Ryan Fitzpatrick and for one game it worked.
"I thought Kyle did a nice job managing the game, and we haven't been taking care of the football early in the season. This team needs to play mistake free football to win. We're not talented enough to get away with mistakes" said Coach Smith Ellis
The huge story in this game was the Buffalo defense who pressured Rookie QB Tanner Hurns into 5 interceptions and 5 Sacks. It was the first time this season that the Bills defense showed any life, holding an explosive Cowboys offense to 12 Rushing yards.
"We have a long way to go to being a winning football team, but it's always nice to get that first win of the season. Maybe well turn things around" said WR Stevie Johnson
    Final Score

Texans Finally Pull a W Out
This was a hard fought battle in this rivalry game. The Texans would have a good first drive with Matt Schaub behind center as they would get a FG by Nugent. Tennessee would respond back with a very strong running drive finished of with a CJ2K TD. Tennessee would lead 7-3 at the end of the 1st. The Texans would not be able to get the ball in the endzone and would have to settle for another Nugent FG 7-6 at halftime. Both defenses would stand tall in the 3rd. The next score would come on a Titans FG to put them up by 4 late in 4th. The Texans would have on more shot with 8 second left in the game coach Krobot would decide to put Mallet in to throw the deep ball and he would find Andre Johnson for a 70 yard TD to win the game!

    Final Score:

    Texans 13

    Titans 9

The Eagles and Michael Vick edge Ron Mexico's ex-team 31-28 in Philly this week.

Vick was near flawless, with exception of a pick from the Falcons goal line at the end of the first half. Completing 24 passes, for 355 yards and 4 TD's, Vick was poised to show his old team that he's still a legitimate threat in the NFL.

Defensively, Asomugha sealed the game with an interception of Matt Ryan with about :40 to play and driving.

The Miami Dolphins hosted the Washington Redskins in a match-up that would let the Dolphins know if their recent turnaround was for real or a fluke. The Miami staff was concerned about containing RG3 and the explosive Redskins offense. But the Miami defense was up to the task as they held RG3 to 74 yards rushing and only allowed him 60 yard thru the air while picking off 3 passes. The one disappointment for the Dolphins came when they let Redskin HB Helu get outside and race 75 yards for a TD. The Miami offense continued to deliver a balanced attack as they passe for 171 yards and rushed for 164 yards on the day. Jones-Drew once again led the Dolphins as he rushed for 155 yards on 28 carries.
Great Game OnIowa and good luck the rest of the year.

What a war! Well, the Chargers move to 5-0. Chargers defense continues to dominate this year, even with starting MLB Donald Butler out. Shaun Phillips played his first game of the season, but only had 3 tackles and seemed to be lost. The real star of the team was Dan Connor once again, a free agent pickup who recorded a huge sack in the 4th quarter and continued to be a tackling machine in the absence of defensive captain Donald Butler.
Antonio Gates broke his collarbone and may miss 4-8 weeks depending on rehab. The Chargers vow to look into signing a free agent to take his place until he is healthy.
Chargers stay undefeated and are quietly becoming the story of HK this year after a 6-10 season last year. This offseason was a big one for San Diego but all their moves seem to have worked so far. Their new secondary with Xavier Simmons, Drayton Florence and Terrell Thomas has been nothing short of stellar. Their draft pick kicker in the 3rd round has been probowl caliber. The decision to resign Malcolm Floyd for 1 more season has worked wonders.
This was a big confidence boost for San Diego, as the Jets are considered by many to be a top team in the AFC along with the Titans and Steelers. #BOLTUP

The 49ers proved victorious in another hard fought battle on their home turf to move them to 5-0 and in sole possession of 1st place in the NFC West. There were two game changing plays in this contest and both happened to be on turnovers. The first was as the 49ers were driving in the Rams RedZone up 7-3 when Colin Kaepernick threw an INT that looked like it would be returned for a TD. But rookie RB Harold Barnes used his speed to track down Jenkins and tackle him at the 49ers 8 yard line, and from there the Niners would stuff the Rams and force a FG. The second game changing play came when the score was still 7-6, the 49ers would punt, the ball hit off the Rams receiver, he then picked it up ran for about 5 yards, then got hit and fumbled again with the Niners recovering. With the short field, the Niners would punch it in and go up 14-6. In the 2nd half, Frank Gore would seal the game with a 70 yard TD run as he ran for 126 yards and 2 TD's on 16 carries.
It was definitely a gg OMlawdog and I look forward to another go 'round in St. Louis
