Post 'em up, let's go!
The 49ers defended their home field once again, this time against the defending Super Bowl Champion Steelers, and the Niners played like they had something to prove. The defense forced turnovers on 2 of the first 3 possessions, but at that point were only up 9-0, as the offense could only muster up FG's. After another 49ers FG, the Steelers were driving with little time left in the first half, and deep in Niners territory, but Big Ben threw a pass the was picked off at the 1 yard line by Carlos Rogers. On the next play, however, the Steelers would bust through the 49ers line and tackle Gore in the end zone for a safety, making the score 12-2 at the half. In the 2nd half, the Niners would run away with it as Frank Gore would bust a 61 yard touchdown run and setup another one by Barnes. Barnes would also score the last touchdown of the game to seal the Niners victory. Mendenhall had a decent game rushing, but put the ball on the turf twice, and the Niners jumped on both of them.
Players of the game:
Frank Gore - 20 carries for 182 yards 1 TD
Niners Defense - 5 turnovers and only 236 yards given up
2 STRAIGHT Vikings defeat Bears, 27-14. Jarius Wright has breakout performance in absence of Percy Harvin The 4th ranked defense in HK held their NFC North division foes to just 14 points. 2nd round draft pick Orlan McCurley had 6 tackles in his return to the starting lineup after being injured for several weeks. The defense looked tough today battling against newly acquired Tony Romo and the Bears. Stuffing the Bears run game to just 38 yards on the ground, although we did give up 262 yards in the air but forced an interception and allowed 0 touchdowns. Our defense forced 2 fumbles, 2 sacks and 1 interception. The offense continues to be a problem for the team but we are improving. With Percy Harvin out for the year, we have to rely heavily on the run game and hope that someone can step up with Percy gone. Jarius Wright provided that spark tonight as he caught 2 passes for 94 yards with 1 of them coming by way of a 74 yard TD reception. Peterson rushed for 96 yards on 23 carries.
Bengals rolling... watch out fools...
Hurns Throws for 413, Saints Still Knock Off Cowboys in Jerry Dome Player of the Game: HB Darren Sproles - New Orleans - 8 Car, 99 Yards, 1 TD, 1 Rec, 35 Yards
2nd worst recap ever
You talk a lot of trash after that beating you just took
There will be a rematch and there will be a Seattle victory. This I promise!
don't worry, that doesn't even qualify as a recap
Keep ripping on me... they're placeholders ya punks
It doesn't count when you play the computer on pro...
I was merely stating a fact, if I were going to rip on you about recaps I would say something to the tune of: I'd make sure you wouldn't have to worry about a recap after we play each other
God I hope you're undefeated when we play... haha
looking to help me stay undefeated? lol
Most likely. Just want to pad your takeaway stats with a few Dalton interceptions.
Smash mouth game ends in Colt victoryBoth teams combined for a whopping 241 yards of offense
Defense was out in full force as neither offense could get much going. The only TD came after a long drive when newly appointed started Donald Brown was able to take the pitch and run it in from 5 yards out. The Colts were able to pin their ears back late in the game and tally most of their sacks in the last 4 minutes of the game. Great smash mouth game uagrad90 Definitely played out the way you like!
