    #14 Tennessee - 7

LSU hoists the SEC crown by defeating UT behind a solid effort on both sides of the ball. On offense, Russell Shepherd shook off his inconsistent effort in Norman with a fine performance. He completed 12 of 15 passes for 171 yards and ran for 43 yards and a TD. Not eye popping numbers but certainly an efficient performance. On the ground, Mike Ford carried the rock 28 times for 127 yards and 2 scores to help LSU keep the Volunteer offense off the field. The Tiger defense was very solid. The UT QBs combined for 9/17 passing for 75 yards and 2 interceptions while getting sacked 4 times. HB Bryce Brown broke loose for a 65 yard TD in the 4th but was otherwise contained as he finished with 9 carries for 86 yards.

These Tigers have been white hot down the stretch, beating Oklahoma and Tennessee in their last two games. Although the national title is out of the picture, LSU looks to finish the season strong in a BCS bowl. GG Recchem - represent the SEC well in your bowl!

GG Beazus. That defense of yours really gave me fits. Just couldnt do anything all game long. I was looking at the donut until Brown busted loose in the 4th. The Tigers completed dominated. Well deserved SEC Championship. See you soon in the SE?????
