Talk about your true or redshirt freshmen here. You can also talk about first year JUCO Players.

I have a couple freshmen expected to play a key role for my squad.

QB Larry Walters (RS FR) - 89 overall, 97 THP, 95 THA
He will be my starting QB this season and the offense is being designed around him

FS Ross Hand (RS FR) - 84 overall, 95 speed
He is starting this season for Ohio State and needs to be a playmaker from the start

WR Demario Breedlove (JUCO SO) - 79 overall, 90 spec catch
He is expected to compete for the #5 WR spot and with the new offense should see the field quite a bit

Texas has 2 true freshman starting in the secondary.

    CB Josh Holloway (FR) - 95 speed / 97 acceleration / 88 man coverage / 88 zone coverage / 88 press coverage
Josh will be the Longhorns shut down corner.

    SS Herb Hill (FR) - 87 speed / 93 acceleration / 85 man coverage / 80 zone coverage / 82 press coverage
Herb is a big hitter that will be spending a lot of time around the line of scrimmage in run support.

WR A.J. Watson (FR) - 73OVR (since I am weak at receiver he will be my slot position)
    CB Tyler Thompson (RSFR) - 81OVR - 93 SPD/ 94 ACC / 91 MCV / 89 ZCV / 81 PRESS (will be the second starter at CB)
    SS Morgan Daniel (RSFR) - 82OVR - 89 SPD/ 91 ACC / 85 TACK & HPW / 92 pursuit / 88 ZCV (will be starting SS)

Basically I have around 10-12 freshman and redshirt freshman in the low 80s that will be contributors in the next 2-3 years, but are not likely to get much playing time this season

Impressive debuts for a couple Buckeyes

    Larry Walters 23-29 509 yards 5 TD/0 INT
(Aside from 7 sacks it was an unbelievable performance)

Demario Breedlove 3 receptions 102 yards 1 TD
(Made a nifty one handed grab over the middle and is now locked in as #4 WR)

There are two freshmen starting for the Irish.

SS Desi Fenton 6'5 200lbs 81 ovr - Fenton is a big physical saftey who my be more suited for a LB role. He has good hands, 80 cth, and hits with power, 89 hit power. We are hoping he can be a turnover machine.
C Erik Ryan 6'3 288lbs 82ov - Poised to be a 4 year starter, Ryan is a balance center he has 84 pbk and 83 rbk. He needs to work on his footwork if he is to become an elite center for the Irish.

UNC will have to roll out several freshman starters, including TE, ROLB, FS, K, and P. Unfortunately, all are expected to suck.

Can I rename the thread after Larry Walters :)?

Walters (RS FR) got a win in Austin against the Longhorns. He finished 14-19 with 307 yards 3 TD/0 INT.

FS Ross Hand (RS FR) also had 7 tackles and a sack in the Texas match. JUCO WR also made a couple plays, catching 2 passes for 36 yards.

Desi Fenton got his first career INT. He picked off the Utah QB in the endzone. It was a big play as we only won by 6.

FSU true freshman DE Jeremy Miller recorded 5 sacks in the teams victory vs Duke. He got moved into the starting lineup 3 weeks ago, and since he seems to be the only guy on the line who can get to the QB I'm expecting big things the rest of the year from the kid.
